I upgraded my flights to 1st class using miles for anniv in Vegas. Sweet!

We are flying US Airways. Does anyone know if upgrading to first class gets you access to US Airways Club at the airport? We have a three hour layover in CLT on way out.

I think the daily fee is about $25-$30 if purchased online.

Definitely not worth the price of the daily pass, especially if you will only be in there for an hour or less, typically.

these days first class domestic doesn't get you much. back in the day you got access to all the nice clubs and everything, but these days that's only for international travel.

For $30 it can be worth it especially if you're going to be there for at least a couple of hours. Some concourses can get really crowded and hot. Also if you were going to be sitting at a bar having a few beers anyway it's not too bad of a deal.

I used to travel a lot on Us Airways about 5 years ago, and I still have a ton of miles. I remember getting into those clubs before but I am sure with the tough times the rules have changed. For a 4.5 hour flight it was 9000 miles and 100 bucks x 2 to upgrade. I know first class doesnt offer much but I am easy to please, bigger seat, row to ourselves, a few free drinks, free bags....SOLD!

Alaska gives you access to their Board Rooms when you book a domestic flight in F, but unfortunately there isn't one at LAS.
