So I'm running low on express comps and I planned on buying 4 concert tickets at Mandalay Bay. Does anyone know if there is a Noir discount or am I stuck paying full price.

If you are NOIR I would think you should be getting free tickets to about any show you want. I am Platinum and I can call a host and get tickets to anything Usually only 2 but NOIR level might be able to get you 4. Never hurts to ask. Don't ask the box office people you need to ask the Marketing Dept or host of the casino you play at the most.

I too would be shocked if you're Noir & couldn't get show tickets comped - maybe you won't get front row, but you should get something at least halfway decent.

I'm pretty sure The casinos look at events & tickets almost as a loss leader to bring people in - you come to see a show you want, you stay & gamble, they likely make more money off you than they spent on the comped tickets & the event as a whole. As such at noir, I'd think you should probably be getting invites to practically any & every event MGM has [god knows I do, and I never, ever go out for special events because it usually doesn't fit my schedule]

If you want to see a particular show & haven't seen an invite for it, talk with your host [even if the event isn't at your host's property] - they should want to be enticing you to come out as much as possible and be more than glad to throw some free tickets your way
& not have you worrying about whether or not you have enough comps left to see a show you want to see.

I am not Noir, but if I was....and got charged for just the 1 show I was seeing....there would not be a card strong enough to survive the scissors I would be reaching for.

Thanks for the replies. It's at Mandalay Bay Beach and it's general admission. The problem is I haven't played much at Mandalay Bay since January. I'm a Noir local with 3 million tier credits. I never really had a host and usually don't like bothering people. Express comps has covered all of my food and I eat at MGM often. I'll give marketing a call and see what they say.

If u are noir with 3 mill in tier...you can easily get tickets tonjustvaboutvanything. Surprised a host has not reached out to you, and offered VIP tickets..that can not be purchased...only available from a host.

Doesn't matter if you don't play at Mandalay Bay. Contact the marketing dept of where you do play and they all have tickets to the events at MGM and Mandalay bay for their highest level of players. Good luck!

Keep in mind that he said Noir local. Locals due to smaller but far more frequent trips change the comp game significantly.

Still definitely worth the call though.

still 3M TCs = a lot of theo. regardless of whether he plays every day to get there or a few weekends a year, that still should be plenty of theo to get some comped show tickets.

Thanks guys...................I used my remaining 200 dollars of express comps and just paid the remaining 49 bucks. I wanted to get the tickets in my hand last week and didn't want to deal with picking them up the day of the show. I was a little disappointed I had to pay all the taxes and fees since most of the purchase was comped but I guess those are the rules.

    Glad you got them.

Sorry you missed an opportunity to get even better tickets for free though.

I am a bit interested in where you spent all your express comps. With 3mm in points, you must have had a ton of ECs.

I take my friends for food every few weeks. I'm back up to 40 bucks again.........haha. Since they started express comps the past 2 years, I've probably earned and used around 4,000 dollars. All on food. Bellagio cafe is the main place we go to.

4k is all? with 3M TCs you should have earned way more than that. i only have 5.7M TCs but i currently have $18k ECs not counting the ones that have been used.

I think so Shifter. I had 130,000 HGS points last year. Pretty sure that's 2,600 in Express comps. So I was just going with an approximation of last year and so far this year. Not sure why I have 3 million tier credits or how that works.

I am in the million range of points, (little under to a little over) and have been in the $2-$3k of EC, using a few hundred most trips. And getting comped suites most trips, decent freeplay, etc. Food at $200 a day most trips, sometimes $250 for trip is covered.

When using any amount of EC to pay for tickets with MGM Resorts they are supposed to waive the LET. Most ticket sellers don't know the policy, just have them ask a supervisor to confirm it.

Thanks King..........I mentioned it to the guy at the box office and he was having trouble doing express comps. So he got a supervisor and she helped him...........but I guess I should have mentioned the LET fee to her because they charged me the full amount. Oh well.
