I just got my first comp mailer from Caesars today. It offered me 5 free nights, $100 in free food and $500 cash....

Question 1. --I jsut show up and they give me $500 cash? This seems crazy to me, the comp doesnt say $500 in slot play, $500 in table play...Its says $500 in cash, is this normal?

Question 2--The $100 in free food, is it one meal or can you use it over several meals?

Thanks to all for answering and forgive my ignorance.

Holy cr*p you must have played high.

It really depends on the fine print on the offer. My food offers have normally been just charge it to the room & the amount of my comp food offer comes off those charges.

I have received Travel Cash at one time ($75 - wow). That I just had to go to the window at a specified time & pick it up. If you didn't go during the time windows you were out of luck.

Call now, ask your questions. Then book the dates before you hang up. Enjoy!

That's awesome, but how much did you lose?!

Actually I would be interested in your gambling pattern, as I have heard the Ceasars comp structure is the best. I am going in July and will be bringing the most amount of money I have ever gambled with, barring any huge life occurrences between now and then, to feel like a baller!

Let me know what you did, was it a strategy? Did you play in anticipation of comps?

I havent played in Vegas in over 2 years....I do, play at the local Caesars riverboat in Indiana, I usually go twice a month, And I always get offers from them.

But this is my first VEGAS comp , It came in a magazine form (the Total rewards Magazine)....I usually play $1 max video poker for an hour, play table Blackjack (usually $10-$25 a bet) for an hour, and play Rapid Roullette (usually $15 a roll) for about an hour, then drive home. I can never stay more than 3 hours because of small children/work etc.

Based on that play, the offer may be a mistake. Or, there is something missing about your play. We usually stay at MGM props, but we drop into Caesars props every trip (once per month) for about 3-4 hours and play 10x that amount. In exchange, we have standing offers for rooms at all casinos except Caesars itself, no Cash or Food. Either way, if you plan on going to Vegas on this offer, I would book it soon. You got a great offer.

That two years is the trigger then I am sure. One couple that plays next to me at our local casino plays about .40 per spin. I'd say they definitely rack up less points than I do overall as they receive a smaller weekly freeplay. They hadn't been to Vegas for 2 years & they just received a 'come back' type offer for $200 cash, room and some amount of free food also (and yes they are going).

So this type of marketing promo with the 3 in one package is probably more of an attempt to get you BACK to Vegas since it is so similar to theirs.

Got the same mailer today.....back end of a TR magazine. Got offered 5 nights anywhere in vegas (including Ceasars), and $50 Food. Also got the same offer in Tunica/New Orleans with $200 to the steakhouse.

A tad bit over what I normally get. Kinda smells like the same generosity that MGM gave everyone last summer, although I am sure CET will actually FOLLOW THROUGH with their players and not pull rugs out on everyone.

Between last years 60,000 promo, this years contest, and this mailer....CET is really bringing it right now.

Based on what you say your level of play is, I say you're being over-comped to entice you to Las Vegas.
Likely a one time deal based on your play.
No offense, don't get used to it or think it'll be a common offer

Is the new total rewards magazine out? I was hoping to see what coupons I may get before my July trip.

Given your play....jump on the offer at once. Appears to be an over comp to get you back.

I got that offer too. It may be a mistake as it's not showing up online, but I'm not sure. I did not see your post, so I started this thread.

I am diamond level at CET, and I usually play blackjack, roulette and craps. The last two trips to Vegas I gambled an average of 10 hours per day for 3 days, and was rated anywhere from $200-$500 on blackjack, $50-100 on roulette and $50-$100 on craps. I do not think this offer is out of line for me, but after hearing about others getting it that may not "deserve" it I'm a little concerned. I'm very interested to see what comes of this, as it sounds like CET my have a large scale mess to deal with.

If anyone cares, I had no issues booking the offer. I got it to work online, I was just reading the code incorrectly. This offer seems odd for CET, but I'm not complaining. Maybe they are finally deciding to treat their higher ADT low rollers a little better? I still don't know why I don't move to MGM permanently, but if CET keeps this up I might stay...

    Ike --

for what its worth, i'm Nor (and have been before they made it so easy) at MGM and 7 Stars at CET. Given what you claim your action is, you would be better treated at a mid level MGM property like MB. Food for thought....

Not sure if you were referring to yourself here, but I wouldn't classify you as a low roller in any sense. Yes - the bets themselves are not as high as some other folks, but given the hours you're putting in, I agree that the ADT is going to be significant. Let's assume your average bet is $150, all games considered. $150 for 10 hours is more like $375 for 4 hours. If 4 hours is the standard by which play is usually judged, I'd say a $375 average qualifies you for being a solid mid roller. That level of play would seem to qualify, based on my quick math, for a pretty solid comp level. (i.e. ADT somewhere around $375 x 60 x 4 x 1% = $900...40% of that would be comps somewhere around $360, which easily covers a nice room and plenty of food/drink comps).

That's what I keep hearing, especially considering I never play slots and CET's table ratings seem to be on the low side at times. What do you think I would get at MGM?

I have had a host contact me based on my play from Flamingo in the past, but I never developed a relationship as all I've ever cared to ask for was free rooms, something TR.com has always provided. I have never played at MGM as it's always just been convenient to stick with CET since that's where I started playing after visiting Vegas once or twice a year. Other than the host contacting me, this is by far the best offer CET has ever given me, leading me to believe I have been under comped in the past as my play really hasn't changed in the last 5+ years. I'm going again in August, and my friends are staying at MB and Luxor so I may give MGM a shot this time around. I'm thinking about giving one of their properties heavy play for a day to see what I may get.

I've always just considered myself a low roller based on my comp level, even though my gambling may show something else. Hopefully this offer is a sign of things to come, otherwise I'll probably have to seriously consider moving to MGM based on everyone's comments here about their table reinvestment.

I don't think this is true. I got the exact same offer, and was in Vegas in March and April of this year. It seems like they are adjusting their marketing mailer programs.
