OK, I haven't ever paid for a room at Main Street Station, it's always a comp so I don't know. I saw this Facebook ad and it talks about waiving the "resort fee". When the hell did they start charging a resort fee? :confused2: Or, is it just a marketing ploy? Anyone ever been charged a resort fee at MSS?
I see nothing on the site about a resort fee, even if you go to book a room. I think its advertising gone awry, like they are trying to remind people they have no resort fee, but worded it awkwardly to sound like it is waived for this promotion.
They're boasting about the fact that MSS doesn't charge a fee. What's unclear is that it's all the time, not just in your offer.
exactly, they're just using creative wording to make it sound like you're getting a special deal if you book now even though it's the case all the time. just like when you see a bottle of soy sauce that says "fat free" or something similar even though that's nothing special as no soy sauce has any fat.
Stayed there the last 5 times I went downtown and no resort fee. I agree with the others that it is a marketing ploy to brag that they dont charge resort fees. A bit poorly worded IMO but I love MSS and I am glad it probably isn't true.
They don't charge a resort fee! I just booked 5 nights in august. After reading their conditions, they authorize 50$ on your cc for incidentals, but no mention whatsoever about resort fees.
