I was walking north on the Strip right outside Flamingo at about 1am this Saturday evening (5-12), and I came up behind three police officers who had a cameraman and a guy with a "boom" microphone following them. I suspected they were filming some type of reality cop show? They were walking pretty slow, so I passed them. As I got in front of the IP, the sidewalk was getting quite congested and two guys bumped into each other and they started to swear at each other. One guy pushed the other guy and they were starting to cause a bit of a scene. Then, the female cop ran up and hooked one guy around the neck with her arms, with the camera and microphone rolling. I wonder if they were filming for a TV show? Anyways, the timing of the whole incident made me suspicious that the "spat" between the two guys was set up for the camera?

Pretty much every reality show is "re-enacted" for filming. If you watch something like Dog the Bounty Hunter you can see in the end credits that it says the events were re-enacted after the original occurrence.

Saw the Vegas Strip crew filming last summer as Metro introduced some young wannabe gangster's face to Mr. Pavement as they were exiting Casino Royale. I was impressed by the speed and efficiency of the officers considering the camera crew and large crowd of onlookers and fellow fake gangsters all desperate for a chance to appear on tv.
