My little brother's bachelor party is in two weeks and I'm looking for a great dinner for the first night of the trip.

We will have 8 guys, mid 20's, who like to party but are not out to rage. We are not the type of guys to describe our outings as "epic" and we don't have the express purpose of achieving "debauchery." In other words, we don't need a place that will turn into a nightclub when we're done eating. We do however want a fun and unique, upscale place to get a steak.

We are willing to drop some coin, but we're not looking for the most expensive places on the planet as we're dropping some major cash on a cabana the following day. We are staying at Caesars but we want to make the rounds.

I hope this is enough information for some great recommendations! This will be my first trip to Vegas and this is my first post on the forum. I've learned a lot here and thank you for your valuable insights!

Maybe look into the strip house at Planet Hollywood. Great steak, sexy atmosphere, not a night club.

You might look at First Food and Bar ay Palazzo plus they have a gift certificate at Restaurant.com that you can get to save $100.

Take a look at STK @ Cosmopolitan -- great atmosphere.

you will probably hear a lot about prime, striphouse, craftsteak, sw, and those would all be good choices. my personal favorite is delmonico, but it is pretty old school, so my recommendation is N9NE at the palms, for the age of your group, the fact that you want to get around town some, and for a serious steak.

Ooooo....missed the steak house part... Fix may not be best option if you are looking for strictly a steakhouse

I went ahead and booked N9NE, but I'd like to hear any other recommendations. Also, are there any good spots that are a step down on the price point? Thanks!

N9ne is a great choice considering what you are looking for. Stk would be another option i would look into. It has the advantage of being at the Cosmopolitan were the nighlife is great.

Another vote for N9NE here. May also want to check out Joes in the forum shops at Caesars, had a great experience there last month.

You have made a great choice with N9NE (try the lobster-mashed as a side). The food is great, and the atmosphere is even better for a bacherlor party. If you are still looking for options, I would recommend Stack at Mirage (make sure you get the Hot Rocks appetizer) or STK at Cosmo. We went to Stack for my brother's bachelor party 3 years ago and it was a great spot. STK is the newest and flashiest steakhouse. However, it may be more of a club-type spot than you are looking for, as they have a DJ spinning during dinner sometimes (lots of babes hanging around there though).

I didn't find the steak that great. It was pretty average to me.

One other option to mention is a Churrascaria (Brazilian Steakhouse). There are a couple in Vegas (Samba at Mirage and Pampas in the Miracle Mile).

Not sure if that's what you want as it is not a steakhouse in the traditional sense (it is all you can eat, different meat preparations brought out on swords and carved onto your plate), but this type of place is a great atmosphere for a party. Should definitely hit on the "fun and unique" meter.

It will also not kill your wallet as much as a high end steakhouse. Still expensive, but probably 20-30 each cheaper that a trip to something like N9NE would be. The all you can eat will cost what simply the a la carte steak does at N9NE.

If it has to be a steakhouse, I'd say N9NE is a fine choice.

The Golden Steer is a very cool, retro spot where the Rat Pack used to go (there are plaques on the booths telling you who used to sit where) and it is a traditional old school steakhouse.

It is not cheap (you can always call to inquire as the prices are not listed on the online menus) but a former co worker went there on a similar bachelor party excursion and really enjoyed it. It is worth looking into if you want a unique steakhouse experience that hints of the old glamour of Vegas in its heydey.

If your group is up for Fremont fun, we did a bachelor party dinner at Triple George, a quick cocktail at Hogs n Heifers, private poker tourney at Binion's then random wandering and drinking on Fremont that ended with craps n blackjack with the awesome girls at Golden Gate

Go to Prime at Bellagio. Best restaurant ever, hands down. Best meal I've ever eaten.
