The website says you earn credits for every dollar you spend on hotel, dining etc.
    How does that work?
Are you supposed to present your card at every bar and restaurant?
Maybe I am not understanding this.Sounds strange.

yes, present your Mlife card with your credit card/cash. or if you are staying at an MGM property and charge it to your room it will automatically be credited at checkout.

Thanks Shifter.Do you actually earn tier credit that way?
I will be at Aria for 5 nights in June and will be charging a lot of food and drinks to my room.

Yes you do. You can actually be a higher card without ever gambling a dime. I charged a bunch of food to my room once and got the tier credits, but at the end of my trip my host comped off the food and thus those extra tier credits went away as well. You can even flash your card (Gold or above) in the gift shops and get a discount AND tier credits whenever you buy something.

FYI: if you lost/forgot your card, you can also get credit retroactively for purchases/restaurants if you have the receipt, though you have to go through customer services.

That's also how you can get credit if you book and pay online for other Casino-related activities like Cirque shows (I booked through the Aria site using the Cirque summer offer). Of course, you don't get credit if you buy through second parties like tix4tonight, but offers through the actual casino websites are eligible.

You get 25 Tier credits per dollar, so attaining pearl status is really pretty easy (spend $1,000 in year) - not that that'll get you much in the way of benefits.

    Thanks for all the responses.
I never thought about presenting my card when I purchased food, drink,or merchandise.

Good to know. I like to gamble, but I spend FAR more money on food and entertainment. I wasn't quite sure how to go about doing this.

Question.. for example, I'm going this weekend, but I'm not staying at an MGM resort (it's an expensive weekend :/), I will have several meals at MGM, I can really just present my card and they will know what to do?

And I'm sapphire, but I still get some pretty darn good room deals and they did even send me one comp night a few months ago.
