My wife and I are planning a trip to vegas in September for my birthday/our wedding anniversary. Been there once before about 5 years ago. We're planning on Sunday thru friday, 6 nights total.

We go to Tunica maybe twice a year. We used to stay at Harrahs, but the last couple years have been staying at Goldstrike (an mlife resort). We're heading to tunica next month and will be staying at goldstrike again. The plan this time though is to gamble at Goldstrike on the first day, then Harrahs on the second day to get back on their radar. Our TR tier points are 0.

We're planning on staying at IP (we've stayed there before, both thought it was reasonable, and want to keep the hotel cost down), but would be happy to stay at another CET property if we could get a good room rate.

What's our best bet on getting a good room offer from CET? Should we get a second copy of my TR card, and do all of our gambling on one account so that we'll get an offer for 6 free nights? Or should we gamble on our seperate cards in hopes of getting two seperate 3 night offers? I'd prefer to not have to check out/check in in the middle of the stay, but if it saved money, I'd do it.

Low rollers, we usually each have about $150 per day.

I would get 2 cards, but on any given day only use 1.

i.e. gamble all 300 on your card on day 1 and her card on day 2..dont play 150 on each card each day.

As always with CET your calendar rates will be often be better than "offers".

I would suggest you both have a card and designate one as the primary card. Both of you play on the primary card all the time, except once per trip have one of you use the secondary card for maybe half a day.

Then when booking reservations use the primary card for the actual bookings, but enter the secondary card as the companion card.

Thats what my wife and I do and we have no problem getting up to 6 nights comped at all Las Vegas properties except Caesars.

For the upcoming trip to Harrahs Tunica, we'll each have about $150 per day.

Good to know about the 5 day max. So we could try for one 5 day offer, pay for the 6th night. Or we could try for two 3 day offers.

You won't get two three day offers cause I assume you will stay together and your offers will be better if you add your spouses card when you look at the rate calendar. Oh and do it both ways (logged in as each of you) cause the rate calendar will likely be different.

Just remember, don't wait for offers. Then plug in all ways. Your card alone- what comes up. Hers alone, add companion number etc. Try every variance.

Also, don't be afraid to call and ask. For our upcoming trip we had 5 nights during the week comped at PH in a Hollywood Hip room. We used both of our cards. We still needed two weekend nights and for those two nights we're not very picky about where we stayed...soooooo....I called good ole' IP to see how cheap we might get those two nights. We got the lub tub rooms comped for Friday and Saturday. Essentially getting 7 nights in a row between the two places. Also to add to that, be sure every so often to check the calendar rates even after you have a room booked. I went back about a month ago and checked our PH reservation and was able to upgrade to the next level above the Hollywood Hip room at no extra charge. There is definitely a game to it if you want to play that game.

So you think it's worth booking now based off of just having a TR card, then checking back after the Tunica trip to see if a better deal is available?

Thanks for the info about adding a companion's card number to the reservation, I had forgotten that you could do that.

Change of plans, we're thinking about staying at Bally's in September since all of the LINQ construction will be in full swing.

I checked the other night and Bally's would be $490 for our 6 nights.

They have an offer out now, 5 nights for $200. So figure about 250 for 6 nights.

Would I be stupid to think that I could get a better offer than the 250 after our gambling in Tunica? Will Bally's really be that interested in our 1 days worth of gambling at a different casino?

I'd hate to miss out on a good deal now and then not be able to get a good price on the room.

    CET comps

In order to both play on the same cards, do you just have for a duplicate card?

Much of your rates are dependant on your ADT, your average daily theoretical loss...if you have heavy day gambling, even if it is one day it can significantly affect your rates in vegas.

My wife does not typically gamble, but they had a (philly) local promotion and i did one day on her card..not even that big...about 400 Tier credits (or $4K through machine) and got several days free at all CET props other than caesars in June...also have booked a. couple free trips in AC. Book best you can get now and check after Tunica. it will be interesting what the impact is.

And yes you just ask for multiple copies...no issue at all

Not at all. I gambled at Ballys last march for 3 days and I'm a low roller, I just looked at my calendar and I have Sun-Thur comped the whole month of Sept and Fri night rates are $90, 108, 88 and 64 for each week.
