I am going to LV in early October. I mainly play craps and bj. Will I have a hard time finding $10 craps and bj tables during the day on the strip? Also, will they be so crowded that I would be better off at $25 tables? Thanks in advance. :peace:

I'll leave others to comment on $10 BJ. $10 craps is no problem, widely available during the day (and often in the evening), even at the top places.

I can’t say it any better than that.

And, even if the $10 tables are crowded, there are usually $15 ones. So, you won’t have to bump it up all the way to $25 if you don’t want to. My particular favorite place to play is at Aria. They usually have MANY tables going, with minimums from $10-100, and the dealers a quite good, IMO.

$10 BJ is not a complete rarity. Though, finding a game with decent rules will be much more difficult than finding a $10 craps game. I’ll leave specifics to someone with better info, though.

$10 blackjack is easy to find, but many times it's in a 'party pit' and only pays 6:5 on blackjacks, (even with 8-deck shoes). Crowded isn't usually that big a problem; most Strip casinos are pretty good about keeping enough tables open to handle whatever crowd exists. You can pretty much find a decent 2-deck game with a $25 minimum all the time.

If you don't mind playing at a continuous shuffling machine, then $15 tables are available for that most everywhere.

Obviously the minimums go up at the busiest times at night and on weekends.

MGM properties are better than CET as far as the number of tables that don't short-change you on the blackjack payout.

Have you considered downtown/off strip if the strip minimums are too high??

I'm primarily a craps player too. If you stay away from the high end joints (Wynn, Venetian, Pallazo), you should be able to find $10 tables everywhere else, anytime of day.

I play craps mostly and have found $10 tables everywhere on my last trip last year around the same time including Wynn, Venetian, and Aria. The only places it was $15 and up was Cosmo and Palazzo.

Bellagio is my favorite place for $10 craps. They usually seem to keep so many tables open that it I often got a table to myself or just one or two others.

If you don't mind 8-deck shoes, you can usually find some $10 BJ tables at the Monte Carlo even on weekend evenings. Elsewhere mid-strip, you'll likely have to play $15-25 to get decent rules. $10 craps tables seem pretty common most places that I've played

As long as you're there during the week you'll be fine, however during the DAYTIME on the weekends you'll be able to find this.

    $10 Craps:
Almost all MGM Properties, some may have $5 during the day

    $10 BJ
MGM Grand may have S17 at $10 or $15, they will have H17 hand shuffled games at $10 easily and probably $5 as well
Mirage, NYNY, Mandalay will have $10 H17 shoe games
Bellagio and Aria will have $10 CSM H17 games during the day (2 tables at Aria, many more at Bellagio)

For what it's worth, I've found that $10 craps and BJ are very easy to find at Excalibur, and I've had great experience with the dealers there.

Something else to think about: If your hotel has gaming near the pool, usually the minimums are even lower than inside! I recently checked out the Flamingo pool pit and they had $5 BJ and craps! Plus you get actual sunlight, some freedom from cigarette smoke (if you're looking for it), and perhaps a pretty good view...

@matsui, you should have no problem finding that.

You ought to still find some $5s at night sun-thurs at the lesser places. Finding one with good rules could be tricky though.

The odds are near 100% that any $5 blackjack table on the strip pays 6:5 for a blackjack an any hour of the day.

Haven't been in a year and a half, but I seem to remember $5 3:2 at the Monte Carlo.

In December on a weekday a few years ago there was a single $5 3:2 table at the Bellagio (with a big line).

But I remember always being surprised at CET hotels how slow they are to drop limits to $5 even at off periods. Tons of $10 tables, and you have to search for the 1-2 of them with 3:2.

Excalibur, Imperial Palace, Casino Royale, Tropicana, and Bill's.

I might have missed something but those are the only places I can recall $5 craps on the strip recently.
