    My Trip Report

Had a great weekend in Vegas with 6 other friends and stayed at the Wynn. I originally wanted to stay at the Cosmo but got a great deal at Wynn. Here's how it went.

    04/27

My friends and I got in on Friday afternoon and were welcomed by Ralph (driver) from Presidential Limousine. For me there's nothing worse than an angry cab driver to start off vegas on the wrong foot so I decided on a limo. Anywho, Ralph helped us with our luggage and welcomed us with a bottle of champagne and a rose for the ladies. After the leaving the airport, Ralph took us to a liquor store where we stocked up on some bottles for the weekend. (FYI, i think that liquor store has some kind of deal worked out with the limo companies since there were about 7 outside). After stocking up on all the different colors of alcohol, we got to the Wynn. Check-in took about 15 minutes and was offered an upgrade to a panoramic suite for and extra $75 a night but graciously declined. The room was nothing short incredible. Very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable.

My friends and I didn't make any reservations at any restaurants at the Wynn so we walked across the street to Maggiano's for dinner. I hear that it's somewhat of a small chain of restaurants but I have to say that it was pretty damn good. Their sauce is outstanding. After we got done, we headed back to my hotel room and a had a few drinks before our nightly excursion.

That night, against my wishes, we headed out to the Voodoo Lounge at the Rio. As we waited in line for an extensive amount of time, we noticed that we were being put aside due to some kind of lesbian party (really) going on. Seeing that getting any action was going to be very difficult, I got my friends to leave.

Luckily, I was able to convince my friends to head out to my favorite bar and lounge, Bond Bar at the Cosmopolitan. Bond has got a pretty diverse group of people, from young gorgeous party goers to the 30-40 year old professionals. At Bond, the DJ was pumping some great music and lots of good looking people were chatting, dancing, and having a great time. Our waitress Angela, arranged seating and bottle service for our group. Angela was out f'in standing and ensured we had a great time. Needless to say, we took care of her. Unfortunately, i don't know what happened past 3:30 am so I'll just move on.

    4/28

I woke up to the absolute worst hangover ever. After two gatorades and 4 Advil, I headed to the tables at the pool at the Wynn. Little did I know that I was at the euro pool. Lots of good looking ladies. Lost about $200 and headed back to the room for a long nap to sleep off the rest of the hangover.

Woke up around 5:30 pm and went off to see Le Reve. Absolutely great show. I highly recommend getting tickets in the splash zone. You get some light splashing here and there but you get an up close view of a great show.

After the show, I headed off to the Aria/Crystals to meet some friends for dinner at Beso. What I like about Beso, is the upbeat atmosphere and the great service. Unfortunately, we waited forever for our food and when we got it, it was borderline warm/cold. The chili skirt steak was good, but nothing like STK or SW. However, I will say that the roasted mushrooms were to die for.

After Beso, we headed off to Haze. I wasn't too impressed with the club but the music was pretty good. I met a few lovely ladies from Alabama there and headed to Marquee with them.

Marquee is a great club with great music. Kaskade was DJing that night and the place was bumpin. Bit of a younger crowd but had a great time.

After spending a little bit of time at Marquee, we headed to XS at Wynn. XS is such a gorgeous club with lots of good looking people. I was shocked to find out Tiesto was there too. It was great.

After XS, I somehow got the ladies to go to the OG with me. It's pretty awesome seeing some gorgeous southern belles cutting loose with some of the dancers. Being in the company of gorgeous women caught the attention of lots of dancers. The dancers there were pretty attractive and had great attitudes. I'd say they ranged from 6-9s with a few 10s here and there. One of the belles and I got a lovely private dance from one the dancers :noangel:. At about 7:00 am, we left the OG.

    04/29

Put $20 in the slots and came out with $800. Hung out at the pool again and took another nap to prepare. That night, everyone but me decided to hit up the buffet at the Rio while I headed to SW at Wynn. I took a seat at the bar and was entertained by the bartenders. The bone-in ribeye at SW is incredible. It's also the only place in the world where I'll eat asparagus. It's great there.

I then headed to the Cosmo and ended up spending the night without my friends. I played BJ for a bit and headed back to my favorite place, Bond. Hung out at the bar for a couple of hours playing BJ on the vid machines and talked with the bartenders for a bit. What i like most about Bond, is the service. All the staff is very friendly and attentive. They are also by far, the best mixologists in Vegas. I even got to see our waitress from Friday night who assured me that I didn't get out of control and let me know what happened after my mind went blank. I met a couple of good looking ladies in their late 30s and early 40s and closed out the night with them at Bond and met them again after for more drinks and breakfast.

    04/30

I checked out of the Wynn at around 11 and proceeded to Bags to Go to check my bags in since I was leaving on a late flight. I spent the day walking the strip and once again ended up at the Cosmo. I had the spare rib at The Henry and it was delicious. Afterwards, surprise surprise, I was back at Bond. I sat again at the Bar and enjoyed conversation with bartenders Paul and AJ, and a hot professional woman who happened to be sitting at the bar as well. I also got to meet the manager at Bond and I got to say that he's a pretty nice guy. My friends joined me there the last two hours.

After thanking everyone at Bond for the great service, Presidential Limousine picked us up and took us to the airport. It was a depressing ride because it's always so hard to leave Vegas.

I got to say that it was a great weekend. The Wynn is a great hotel but I have to admit that from now on, I'll only being staying at The Cosmo. The service you receive there makes a middle class guy like myself feel like a millionaire.

Lovely report! I too enjoy the Wynn. You sure got around in Vegas with all the restaurants, clubs and casinos you visited. Nice win on the slots!

    Good stuff, Doubledown.

LOL @ the lesbian party…yeah, my guess is you wouldn’t have received too much attention there!

I’m a huge fan of Wynncore too. But last weekend I found myself spending a lot of time hanging out at Cosmo (while I was staying at Bellagio). I’ve never had a bartender (or a meal) there that wasn’t fantastic and I noticed this time around that the casino employees seemed quite a bit friendlier than they have been in the past. I’m thinking about trying my first stay there this summer.

You have gone anyway and told the ladies you are a lesbian too.

What slot was it and did you hit the $800 on a single spin or did you work your way up?

I was playing 5 lines, $1 Hot 7s. I hit it on the 3rd try. Sure helped me recoup most of the money I spent buying dances for the belles at the OG.

We went to Beso last year for our engagement dinner and had the worst experience ever! If I hadn't gotten a fat diamond that night I would have been ripping the management a new one. Instead I saved it for when I got home. :wink2: Anyways, sounds like it hasn't improved much after the new management came in. Great trip report. I'm a fan of Marquee, XS & Cosmo too so it was right up my alley.

Thanks, Doubledown for my kinda trip report. I'd kinda given up on reading trip reports cause I find them kinda boring. (sorry folks ) I wanna hear about hitting a strip club, checking out the nightclubs, interacting with other Vegas visitors and staff. You gave me all that. Vegas is supposed to be the place where you get a little wild and mix up up. Looks like you did that.

I love Wynncore dearly, but there's been a little slippage, a little complacency, in my book. I keep finding myself gravitating to Cosmo for a variety of reasons. We don't leave for a few more weeks, but we've already planned on hitting Holsteins, Wicked Spoon, Boulevard pool, Vesper bar (You HAVE to let them make you a signature drink! I had one with oregano, which sounds, ew, but was ooOooo.), EA Sports bar and hanging at Bond for a chillfest. Thanks for the report.

I agree with farkingidiot, it's nice to see a change up on the TR boards. It's great to see a mixof different reports anytime.

I enjoyed this and hope you were able to spend some , shall we say quality time with the belles or other ladies you acquainted.

    Thanks for reporting!
