Packing for tomorrow night

Going to be very hot ,so lighweight clothes the way to go. Amazing how much you can wash ,press and pack into carry-ons if you have a plan. (Thanks USN).Hate the long flight from EWR,but the people from Europe have a nightmare compared to me.
So, if you see me wandering around the Rio at 6am ,say hello,I'll be the guy with the coffee from Burger King who looks like he cant sleep.

 

Most everyone overpacks anyway. Sounds like you have a plan. Enjoy the Rio.

Sorry D,but that one is lost on me,maybe from a different era or a different rate ? I go back to mid 60"s.

 

I think this is something that your commanding officer suggested that you carry in your pocket while on shore leave. You may have even viewed a Navy produced black and white movie showing what happens to sailors who were not properly prepared for shore leave. Good luck in Vegas!

 

I must be getting old!

The last thing that entered my mind ,I have to get squared away before I mount -out for a Vegas Deployment.

 

I always pack one too many shirts
and WAY too many sox.
Give us a good trip report about Rio !
It's been many years since I stayed there.
