Hi all, staying in July for 7 nights at TI.

Its been a few years since I managed to get to Vegas so just wondering what i can drink at the tables. I cant drink lagers,ie michelob bud coors etc. Can i have a real beer such as a real ale? if not, i guessd it will have to be the shorts. any advice welcome

    Cheers guys

If you are thinking of TI, the beer selection for the darker beer crowd is poor. My beer hierarchy in Vegas is Sierra Nevada - Fat Tire - Sam Adams - Newcastle. At TI it is Newcastle!

At most of the poker rooms you have to ask for Fiji water specifically or they will give you 'hotel branded' water - waitresses as recent as 2 years would walk around with trays of Fiji but now it's been replaced by bottled tap water.

Ordering Fiji at the poker table is the first tell-tale sign that players are regulars... or water snobs. But both play tight aggressive.

Okay. I'm told that Ellis Island beer is a wee bit below the quality of the MSS microbrew stuff. (And of course MSS has 10x odds on craps) So here is the skinny: If you are on the strip, don't trek to MSS, go to Ellis and remember the steak and beer special is always available. If you happen to be downtown, MSS is great. Though I'm told that small place with Gold Something serves free Guinness. Now that is worth the trip!!

As with any casino, the CW will be under time pressure so don't waste her time asking for a list of beers. You order the highest beer you want and if she can't it then ask for your second choice. In some casinos you have to be betting at a certain limit to get top quality booze but usually the CW will let you know what the situation is. Just don't waste her time, she gets better tips if she can get back with drink orders real fast and she knows it.

I prefer to get hard liquor if I'm paying for it, but some casinos are cutting back on their top shelf liquor.

Remember,,,, it may be [exaggeration]half-way to California[/exaggeration] but the M Resort seven miles south of the Strip is the best for booze and the best for CWs too.

MGM casinos are usually good for Sierra Nevada. Venetian/Palazzo have Sierra Nevada & Fat Tire. I'm not sure I have ever ordered a beer at Wynn! Sam Adams at Harrah's.

I think I had Sam Adams at Wynn. At Mirage I had Anchor Steam, which was a bonus.

FIJI:thumbsup: I like that they put it in my mini fridge at Bellagio. I drink Cranberry a lot too now that it's in their too. Every time I ask a waitress for a cranberry she's like " NO VODKA?!?!" I had a funny one at NYNY say "Do you know where you are?" I told her to knock off the Axl impression and get my Juicy Juice!

The last time I was in Vegas they had Newcastle just about everywhere I played (even the Sahara (RIP) at the $1 BJ tables).

Haven't played in Casino Royale for awhile, but I remember their selection as being very limited and mostly lager.

For me in Vegas....Jack&Coke or Malibu rum & Coke. One dollar a drink....the tip.

Yes, I can tell if its Jack or some cheap Kentucky Deluxe or other cheap-o liquor.

Would order Dickel and 7up, but 99% of the casinos don't carry George Dickel.

    No Sierra anywhere?

I know that at the M Resort, if you're playing VP at their 32 degree bar, they'll comp whatever you're drinking ;)

Will they comp it on Slots/Craps? I would assume?

Thanks, I will definitely be marking this down.
