Hi guys, I am new to the forum so I hope this is the right section to ask my questions. I've been to Vegas on a budget randomly several times in the past, but now I have the financial freedom to enjoy myself a little more. I went last week, and I am going again 3 days for Memorial day weekend with the gf. We have reservations for Cosmo, but Caesers is willing to comp us for 2 out of the 3 days. On an average day I plan to play $500-$1000 per day on tables ($25/50 hands for BJ usually, maybe 3-4 hours per day), eat small cheap lunches, go out to a nice dinners ($200), and go to a different show or club every night (prob $100/ticket). I don't like playing slots ($50 max per trip), so I don't get too many comps (especially since I haven't spent much time at MGM places) When I go to Vegas, I want to focus my time on gambling, eating, and drinking. However I don't want to waste my time waiting in line (for pool parties, clubs, shows, food, etc.) My questions are 1) Do I spend enough to warrant a host? 2) If so, is it in my interest to get a host? (or is it better to just ask for comps at the end of my trip) 3) If so, how do I get in contact with a host? Thanks in advance.
bottom line - no you don't need a host. on the strip at the bigger casinos (Mlife/CET/Cosmo/Wynn/etc) a host won't do you any good with that play. DT or off-strip you can get some love from hosts at that level.
I have been doing that at CET for the last two years, I get free rooms and some invitations here and there, but a host has not come calling, and I dont expect one too. I get free rooms pretty much anywhere and anytime, so that is all I want out of the deal.
Thanks for the quick responses. Yeah all I really "expect" is cheap/free rooms. The other stuff would just be nice perks.
