The Caesar's Lago buffet is currently closed for renovations so that's out of the running, but if I were to give you an opinion on it from what they had before the renovation, I would rank it last out of those 3. They weren't even open for dinner on some nights and had very small selection. The one time I went there, they had ran out of forks!

Between Rio and Harrah's, I personally liked Rio more, but there was ALWAYS a huge lineup and I've never waited less than an hour to get in there - HUGE selection and nothing really let me down but I've only been for dinner. I've been to Harrah's for breakfast lunch and dinner and it's always reliable...things taste good, adequate selection, small or no lineup usually. The only downside I found is that it's usually the same items to choose from. Even between trips I've noticed that it's relatively the same buffet even after not being there for 2-3 months. But maybe that's also why I keep coming back..cuz I know I'll like it lol.

Both are good & steady / reliable. We prefer Harrah's for lunch and Rio for dinner. The selection at Rio is just crazy...it is so huge. We visit both when we get the Buffet of Buffets once each trip. We do dinner / breakfast / lunch & dinner again and the other dinner is at PH.

We have only eaten at Caesars Cafe Lago once and yes, it is small. But we found at dinner one nite was that the food was extremely fresh and well-prepared....really a step up for a buffet. Many individual servings available. We will definately go back next trip when they re-open. :)

    Agreed.

Rio buffet and Harrahs buffet are in two different stratospheres.

Rio is the best buffet I have ever been in. I put Harrahs and Old Country buffet in basically the same category--tolerable.

Agreed, Rio is better overall, but if you are a serious crab leg consumer - Harrahs is place to go. Rio has some of the smaller legs of any buffet and they are served cold. Harrahs are much larger and served warm.
Value-wise, Harrahs also comes out ahead, especially if you use the $5 off coupon and get inside before the 3:00 dinner cut-off.

I would have them about even (remember its the carnival world buffet not the seafood one at Rio). More selection at Rio, but both middling quality.

Put it this way, I've never had a dish I tried and wouldn't eat again at Harrah's although nothing blew me away. Rio had more options, but no jump in quality and DID have things I wouldn't eat again.

I'd have dinner at PH before either, but either would do in a pinch.

I thought Harrah's Buffet was called Flavors. Is there more than one there?

You're right, Harrah's buffet is Flavors. Cravings is at the Mirage. Ate at Flavors last week and thought it had gone down hill quite a bit since my last trip, both in quality and in selection. I don't think I'll repeat.

Did not see it mentioned, but the hotel I was staying at would have a SERIOUS impact on my decision. Taking a shuttle to RIO would rule that out, etc.

I was going to pick Flavors, but it's been about a year since I went there.

They were very vague about when Lago would relaunch but the impression I got was it would be at least fall.

Rio and Harrah's are OK for the price. I do prefer Paris or PH to both of them. PH has some good and different choices.

I am not crazy about Harrahs Buffet, but I find myself stopping by at least once a trip. As someone said earlier, it is reliable. Never great, but always good. I went to the Rio buffet once for Breakfast, and it was very crowded and that was a turn-off for me. I would of been better off going next door for the breakfast buffet at Gold Coast for a third of the price.
