I need everyones ideas. My sister, whom is older than my 58 years, is getting into LV 7 hours ahead of everyone else in our party. She would like to find some things to do while waiting for the family to arrive. She isn't looking to gamble, because she'll doing that for 4 days with all of us. She wants to do something different. I mentioned to her about the zip line in Boulder City, but that was the only thing I came up with.

visit Mob Museum, Pinball Museum, catch afternoon show (depends on timing of course) and then of course, she could splurge and visit one of the Spas.

Spa/Pool seems like a good default.

Other than that, she can just figure out a list of things she wants to see and do, run it by the rest of you, and pick whatever you don't want to see/do as a group.

I'm with spa and a chill.
Once you guys all get there, it'll be go-go-go-go...so, give her some relax time at a spa, nice facial, mani/pedi, maybe massage, and then she can chill in the sauna, whirlpool, depending on hotel, one of the cold rooms....just have a nice day of pampering and relaxing

Thank you all for the ideas. I will pass everything you all suggested to my sister. The spa thing might work for her, in fact she mentioned it to me when we were talking about her plans last weekend.

My advise is to pay $7.00 to take the Deuce Bus to go all the way to Freemont street. Walk around and then get back on the bus and stop at
different locations to look inside some of the hotels. The bus pass is good for
24hours and you can stop and go.

a few important things are missing here

1 - Where is she staying?

2 - Will she be able to check in to her room, or at least the hotel?

3 - How mobile is she? Lots of walking, or restricted?

    4 - Driving or not?

5 - Time of day she arrives vs you?

6 - Has she been to Vegas before?

7 - How far is she flying that day?

Glad to help out, but help us help you.

    Re:

    Nostresshere:

    1) Harrah's
    2) Not sure about checking in, but she plans on leaving her luggage with the bell hop
    3) She has no problem walking, but she is willing to take a cab or bus if she needs to go any where
4 & 5) She is flying in from Houston and arrives at 7:15 AM
    6) Many times, first time was in 1974 and the last 5-6 years, she'll go there at least once a year.
    7) probably a 2 1/2 hour flight from Houston.

    Re:

LucyR, I'll let her know about the Duece pass, it could be worthwhile for her to spend $7 and be able to get off and on anytime she wants. I don't think she'd would want to go downtown because our group is planning on going there Saturday night to see Marriage Can Be Murder. In fact with all that is going on down there (Helldorado parade and Night Riders car show), we might get there earlier than we had planned.
