The roller coaster at NYNY is a great ride! A good five minutes!

First time on it, about 7 years ago, my companion and I were both badly bruised from head to toe. Since then they've replaced the cars and have removed the MANHATTAN EXPRESS name, and it is much smoother. But also seems a bit slower in the second half, once it comes around to the strip side. Still a fun ride, but I get queasy every time. :vomit:

Best ride I ever had on it was in a December in the dark. Very cold, very frightening. My face was numb from the chill, laughing all the way.

Agreed with riding it in the dark... I rode it 8-9 years ago in the dark, so you can't tell which way it's gonna turn ahead of time to brace yourself... brutal!

One of the teachers I work with went to LV for the first time over Spring Break and stayed at NYNY. I encouraged her to try the roller coaster but she was too chicken.

I was glad to see this information put out there. I'll stop telling people to not ride it. I too was black and blue after riding this thing.

    NYNY's is a bumpy coaster

Take the drive and go do Desperado

Eye watering high speed rippin' coaster....and a super high climb with a double drop

Have to agree. Desperado is infinitely superior to NYNY and worth the drive. Also nice to walk around Buffalo Bill's and get a different vibe.

x3. I rode Desperado a few trips ago. Definitely a better ride than NYNY and a cool view, but there is something to be said for riding the NYNY coaster right on the Strip and having that view while you're being thrown around. Ride em both! :D
