    My Trip Report

    Day One

Got in the night of 4/28, at around 3am after a 12 hour flight and limping it from LAX. I figure was faster than waiting for a connection and didn't want to fly in on the PJ (the whole issue with having to hit 125k theo at one casino).

turned in for a few hours of sleep and got up at 1030 am to go play Baccarat!

The first couple shoes were pretty horrible as I was betting my new progression

18k, 22, 28, 36, 52, 66, 88, 108, 136, 175 (my max)....never actually got beyond the 2nd hand. Quickly was down to my last bet, got a natural 8 on banker, was pretty happy until dealer turned over 9 on player....sheesh...bad morning. The back and forth on the watermelons (pinks) really hurt...down 100k for the session.

Took a break with the wife to get some shopping done, went over to the Wynn to collect my previous gold plates from the safe deposit box, still have a lot of promos left over from the previous trip, but won't use them until tomorrow because the morning session left me feeling all bummed out...not feeling the vibe...perhaps because I was playing alone at the table and I really think gambling with friends is more fun...

Had a quick lunch at Tableau at the Wynn, boy i feel the quality has gone down...also no more tuna tartar :(

Went back to the Bellagio for an 80m massage with the wife, very relaxing, made me very sleepy and since my friends don't get in until later, decided to take a nap...which is a good thing because I feel that when you don't feel the luck, it takes a lot of willpower to keep away from the tables until something changes...which was my friend arriving in town.

Haven't seen this guy from Beijing for 6 months, and he's a craps player, but I'm trying to get him hooked on baccarat as well...I know bad friend.

We sit down, and we proceed to get some decent cards....although now because of the morning session I'm a big gun shy....so the new progression is

5, 5, 8 , 10, 12, 18, 22, 28, 36, 52....a bit of a choppy shoe but I manage to string together 4 bets in a row towards the end....up 27k for the table in one shoe. The four plates get a bunch of critter attention, but they were just curious....No memorable hands, everything was a blur, but my friend is starting to get the hang of it....but he wants to play craps.

So we proceed to the craps table, find a crowded one....and the table becomes stone cold....I am playing 1k on the pass, 3-4-5 behind, 6k across, 5k coming, full odds once come bet goes up, 1 come bet at a time.

Proceed to dump 100k in rapid fashion...maybe we don't play well with others? We decide to head to the end table right across from the cage, with the all or nothing feature bet. Now that's one of my favorite bets on the craps table because you can sort of watch your progression....as you hit each number if your are on a hot roll.

I proceed to come out on the 9, 2k on pass, 8k behind, 5k coming, 6k across. I make the 9 right away whoopee! Next number is the 5, 3k on pass, 12k behind, my odds bet on 9 has 20k odds. Next roll 9 yes! Now it is all gravy, to make a long story short, I hit the 5 but the next number 8 I seven out on. In between I manage to hit a bunch of numbers, but didn't hit the big come bet, but managed to hit the ALL Tall...dealers were happy because they have a quarter on each of those.

My friend rolls next, point, come seven out.....ouch

I roll next, make one pass, get the come bet once, hit the all tall again!

My friend rolls, point, come, number, seven out.....dude....I think you should stop rolling now....

I roll, make one point, a few numbers, then 7 out. At this point I know I am very close to even, and since my friend is down 50% (he doesn't do come bets or take full odds or does across) and is declining to shoot, I do a count and am down 1k....good comeback....time for baccarat.....

Go back to my Bac table, proceed to go down a downward spiral until I have 447k left....decide to either win or lose....bet 47k on bank....around 900 in change on the tie just in case.

    Player gets a 5, I get a 2....oh shit.....not looking good....player draws a 6 for a one, but it doesn't matter because I already see I have a 3 sides....so it could be a 6, 7 or 8....win, win or lose. blowing like crazy, I see one point...oh shit.....then blankness! Yes a 7!

That gets me on a little heater and I end up at the table 15k....so about half way from the morning loss, but still needs work....

Have some cafe food, about 4am, going to call it a night...hopefully Day Two can get my momentum started....have two new players coming in so that should be better for camaraderie...

It took me a while to work out what "limping it from LAX" meant. I decided it was a typo and should read "limoing" or have I got it wrong?

Nice recovery at the craps table. Looking forward to the rest of the report and hope the gambling goes well.

from this day forward I will refer to a limo ride as "limping it".....

I cannot express in words how excited I am for this trip report....slightly less excited than for the birth of my children, slightly more excited than for my wedd....uh...this is a public forum? uh lets just say I am SUPER F-ING EXCITED!!!

Would be really EPIC if you ran into Gaggles. That would be even cooler than when the kids from Facts of Life were on Diff'rent Strokes. Would be great if the BING BING BING were added to the Baccarat system.

I am about to start reading and hoping to see a huge run like Shifter experienced .

    Good Luck!!!!

looking forward to the report as well. And I have to agree with BeeJay not many events in history would compare outside of a Facts of Life/Different Strokes crossover.

Besides, of course, being blown away by the amounts of money involved it is beyond me how anyone remembers such details about specific hands. I guess it's like golfers remembering every stroke on a hole they played years ago.

BeeeJay, I love how you are excited about this trip report - the same reaction that the rest of us have when we see that you are doing a report!

I asked Gaggles if we could go forward with our new plan to refer to a limo ride as "limping it", he said we would not be able to implement the new term in this context as he had already used the phrase under other circumstances during his previous trip report with his new girlfriend.

Haha, I just realized the spellchecker did that...yes I meant limo-ing.

    Day Two

Just a note on the attachments, I don't know how to make the pictures clearer or bigger that fit within the size guidelines for jpg files, so sorry ahead of time.

The day started out ok, around 830am, got 3 hours of restless sleep dreaming about the baccarat table....very friendly guy dealers in the morning, as you can see from the first picture....although the pair pair tie tips for them certainly kept them in a good mood....

The posse joined up, so we have 4 people at the table now....shoes dragged and dragged....with not much happening, until I was down about 50k again, using a smaller progressive

I actually name all my progressives and this one is the Fire Kirin
    1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 12, 18, 26, 38

When usually this happens, I do a 50k or so hand to try and break even again....been losing on the first hand out of the shoe for 4 shoes in a roll ( I always bet banker), but this time the cut card was an Ace, something different....so I bet 25k on banker....boom natural 9 winner. I bet another 25k on banker boom natural 8 winner....feeling good....almost back even.....25k again a few hands later on repeat bank.....boom....got hammered.....ah....the pain of greed.

so now down 25k or so, working my way slowly back up....we hit a nice 6 bankers in a roll, but betting small using the fire kirin, got me up around 15k for the table....time to walk....the second pic shows the height of the run....note the 6 bankers early on...good...I don't need that many to win.

Decide to go over to the Wynn .... big mistake again. I am not going to play there again for the rest of the year except for free tournaments. The third pic shows the anger of losing 11 hands in a roll, I decide to get some more chips....about 900k on the table there. For crying out loud, how do you get 4 lousy shoes in a roll and lose 11 hands in a roll...!?! F*!@*K

Anyways, down 200k at the Wynn....decide to leave in a huff....back in the room nursing my sorrows....a long trip to go...so got to pace myself....want to do a Shifter comeback!

just gotta weather the storm when it's bad and make sure you're still in the game when it turns around. you'll get that good shoe eventually. and then you'll hit it for 2M+!

Beejay, you crack me up! The "not as excited as the birth of my kids, but more excited than my wed..." Too funny. I can see hundreds of heads nodding in agreement on our Vegas-addicted board.

Natedog...we are hanging on every word. There is no detail too small to share. Just sayin....

It's out there... waiting to happen! TEAR 'EM UP -- when the time is right!!

When I look at that second pic you posted and see the lonely black and green chip(s), I liken that to some fifty cent pieces and dollar chips near my stacks (pretty close from a ratio standpoint too)!! ;)

    Speechless!!

Except: you make no mention of it so I assume you don't, but do you drink at all while playing with this kind of money?
