I noticed on the MGM entertainment schedule Jimmy Buffet will the there Oct 20th and 27th. We have promised to go to Vegas with friens who have never been. I thought Buffett would be a great show and a fun atmosphere for first timers. Tickets go on sale Monday May 7th. I am platinum at MLife.. (recent change from Gold) and was wondering if anyone new if we would get pre-sale option? I have not attended any MGM concerts so if anyone has suggestions or seating suggestions, I welcome your advice

I would highly suggest going to Buffett concert. I saw him at MGM Grand back in 1996, we had a blast. At time, they still had the amusement park attached to Casino and they closed it down for the tailgate and was just a great time. I don't know about pre-sale options but one thought I would throw out is seat selection. I guess floor seats are supposed to be sought out selection, certainly price reflects that but I have been on floor seats several times, and I actually prefer stadium seats, I like section14/15 and even 12/13 are pretty good. Definitely plan on attending the tailgate wherever they do it and making it a true event. Parrotheads are some crazy fun people to party with! :D

I would think if 'your level' is included in any pre sale offers, you'll be
getting an email. Call your players club and ask...don't expect much if
anything at all...I'm at that level w/Total Rewards and we don't get much
    other than 5 free nights.

I'll be in that venue for the first time myself for Neil Diamond in Sept. so
I can't offer any suggestions in re to seating other than...how I figured it.
If you've been in large venues like that before, you kinda have an idea of
    the atmosphere.
I didn't want to be on the floor. Folks will be (and you will be too...) standing all
    night long...stay off the floor.

You also should be aware of the sound in a large place like that...sitting up
close, it might sound 'muddy'...you want crisp, clear sound so look for seats
mid roomish and up a level or two.

I chose the first level up off the floor, mid room, Left side. Right or Left side
wouldn't matter one way or the other, just try for a seat that isn't way up top,
or way in the back. On the seating chart I'll show you, I chose SECTION 13.

PARROT HEADS look forward to Jimmy's Shows each year and fly in from all over just to
    see him in Vegas.
If it fits your budget, rather than wait for a pre sale...the 'borkers' are probably
already selling tics...they'll be expensive (CLOSE TO 2k FOR 4 TICS) but the seats will be
in the areas you want (which very probably will be gone when they go on sale to Gen' Public)

Here's a good example of pre sale broker seats.
'Search Las Vegas Shows' is a site to fine most Las Vegas Shows. For the 'special' Shows,
they share the site with the brokers who buy in bulk before you and I can...sell 'em at a huge
profit, but they're great seats and you can count on transaction. I got my Neil Diamond ticket
this way and was quite pleased....CHECK IT OUT.

    www.searchlasvegasshows.com
'click' October on the above calendar...
'click' Oct.20th Jimmy Buffett VIEW TICKETS
The seating chart shows the available tickets this broker has...when they're gone/they're gone.
    I suggest SEC. 11,12,13.
    www.lvol.com also has broker tickets
'click' Las Vegas Concerts and scroll down to MGM GRAND

LOL!...you probably won't by 'em...THEY'RE VERY EXPENSIVE but Buffett will sell out quick. It's one
of the most popular Shows of the year.
If nothing else, use the seating chart to get ideas. Call the MGM and ask when tics go on sale 1.800.929.1111

Thank you so much. I sent an e-mail to Mlife..but also did a google search and there is a Amercian Express pre-sale. Gregrio - with your info provided.. I feel better about getting the tickets.. if we can't go we should be able to sell them without taking a hit. Travelfiend.. thanks so much for your input. I am 5'6.. Hubby is 6'3.. I would not want to be standing behind him.. so I don't think I'll subject anyone on the floor to that. I'll look on the front sidess and see if I can find good seats. I appreciate your input and advice!
