Must have been a boring trip if the highlight was the room upgrade. :wink2:

The highlight was the room and the fountain, but I had a fun trip
and not boring; just lost quite a bit of dough on this trip!
Planning a revenge! I had booked at Bellagio on a 3 night comp, reduced rate
for nights 4-7. I planned a two week trip. First trip solo, hubby had to work. Planned to hook up with
    two pals, one fell through.
Day one; scored full size upgrade at mccarren Alamo; Nissan Allantra,
then drove straight to Bar + Bistro for their party celebrating (and sharing their
embarrassment) their place being featured on that nights airing of the
Food channel show, "Restaurant Stakeout". Checked out some art, fire
spinners, and the owners bought shots of Jameson's for all. They had also
offered free tapas and sangria, but I arrived late. Cool place, definitely will try their
tapas! After chatting and chillin with a Red Stripe and shot mon, the stress of traveling
was gone. Time for the Bellagio; first time to stay there.
I couldn't get the view room the first night, but had to move to it the
next day. So, left my room without unpacking much and headed out around midnite.
Went to the Petrossian bar, and it was dead.
After two drinks and 38 bucks, took a cab to Bills and walked to
Flamingo; planned to drink, so left the car. I played VP at the bar, and met
a local, Jason. We were having fun playing and the drinks were flowing, and I struck up
a conversation with a guy from Norway. I'm 3/4 Norwegian, so we had fun talking.
Turns out he and his buddy had never been to US, and had
gone to Venice beach for three nights and then Vegas! They had a funny impression
of the US so far! He then tells me that they had met this nice gal
but she wanted money and to go to their room. Jason and I looked over to
his buddy and said "dude she's a hooker". They were naive, for sure but when Jason
and I elaborated on rolled in rooms stories, Svens' eyes got quite big, and he called
buddy Lars over. Btw, both norskys were extremely wasted. They managed to extricate themselves
from the working girl, bought more drinks and yelling
Skol! Gave me and Jason repeated Viking hugs! The gal
shot us the evil eye, and went to work texting.Jason and I returned to
The Bell for more VP, and though I put a few hundred in the
machine, and tipped very well, the barkeep begrudged the drinks a bit.
Made it back to the room about 5:30 and crashed without bothering
to take any hangover prep or change to pjs. That was day 1!

Day 2 Not being a regular heavy drinker, I had ordered a super large, deluxe with
everything on it Hangover! Whew! Drank some juice with a pedialyte pack in it.
I cursed myself for acting like I was a 23 y.o. Rock star. Today, I was 100% sure I was neither!
Then I had to move rooms. I started coming around slowly, and even managed
to crack up the bell guy! I got to my new room and angels sung! Nicest view ever.
Also I remained optimistic, I remembered the Frank Sinatra quote,
" I feel sorry for people who dont drink, when they get up in the morning, that's as good as
they'll feel all day!" I self medicated in my new fan room, called the DH, who laughed at me, of
course, and sauntered down around 9 for something to eat. I ended up at Gelato Cafe, and found
they had truffled celery root soup! It was soup heaven! That along with quiche Lorraine and lots of
water, and I headed out to play. I should have gone to bed. Lost 500 playing slots at the
Bell, and in 2 1/2 hours me and some ladies from Atlanta never got drink service; I just wanted water!
Discouraged I headed to my room and watched a Stones
concert. I've put quite a dent in my bank roll, and the remnants of a hangover. Took a perfumed bath in
the deep tub and slept for 11 hours!
