    My Trip Report

Pick your Vegas buddies carefully. TR 12/22-12/26

    Well Good Day Everyone,

I've been putting off writing this TR for a day since i've been back... It was a so so trip, but could've been a lot more. Just a pre-reading warning... i seem to have forgotten a bit of what happened in the middle days of the trip.. but ill try to see what i can write up... it was definitely not as fun as i thought i'd have, partially becuz of who went.

    12/22 Day 1

The bender began with a 9am flight out of London Ontario airport to Toronto... Short flight, nothing special.. got into Toronto, had to switch to the US departure terminal... lines were long, as it seemed like everyone was wanting to go south. I was one of the people who were "randomly chosen" to be patted down... funny how all the randomly chosen people were not caucasians but of other descent... just a random note... Flight was pretty full, and it seemed longgggggggg.. in actuality, it was about 4.5 hrs or so... Uneventful.. sat beside two normal people and carried a normal conversation... Touch down at Mccarran at about 1pm or so.. grab luggage and shuttle it to the MGM Grand... got a Complimentary upgrade to a Celebrity Spa Suite, which was a step up from the Bungalow King which i had confirmed. head up to the room... decent looking suite. if you're into big bathrooms, this is the place for you. drop the bags down, refresh up.. and had 8 hrs to kill before my 2 friends would arrive from Vancouver... I then go down to have a look at the MGM Casino... this place was virtually dead. barely anybody was playing and the atmosphere and energy levels seemed very low.. so i figured the NYNY would be a better choice... find my way to the crossover bridge and was in high spirits to finally be in Las Vegas and out of the -20 Celsius cold that was Canada. Have a look around the NYNY casino and see a lotta players playing single deck which paid 6:5... just gave my head a shrug and found a $5 table dealt from a shoe.. bought in for $100, and started playing. Not before long, the PIT boss came over and asked to see my ID.. showed him, and he said i had to get a wristband of some sort at security. alright, I guess my government issued ID isnt good at your damn casino. got my wristband and started playing. took a longgggggggg time before the cocktail waitress came over.. a trend to be followed for most of this trip.. got annoyed at the lack of drinks and left the table with $100 and 3 drinks in me. Then I walked over to the Excalibur and bought in for $100... Once again.. NO FRICKIN COCKTAIL WAITRESSES... which really pissed me off, cuz im not here to gamble without any booze... lost half my $100 and walked away, ticked off at the fact that I drank only a single crown and ginger @ the ex. Then i walked back to the MGM... by now, it was about 330pm or so.. great.. 6 hrs before my friends would show up and im kinda bored.. naptime! i had stayed up all night before my flight so i napped for about 3 hours... then i thought to myself, "Dude, you're in vegas, grow some balls and get outta bed".. Listened to my thoughts and did just that. Freshened up, had a bit of a headache, but didnt let that deter me. Went downstairs to play the horses! at the Sigma Horse Racing game. This is where you bet quarters on Quinella combos which have certain odds listed. my Ten dollars lasted me a bit more than an hour and i got SEVEN drinks in the process! finally! cocktail service! worked up a slight buzz, and was content with the fact that 10 dollars + 7$ tip for the drinks lasted me a bit over an hour. by now it was about 945 and my friends were supposed to be here in fifteen mins or so. So i wait in the main lobby for a long long time.. they dont show up.. but then something amazing happens. A CATFIGHT BREAKS OUT IN THE LOBBY OF THE MGM! two black girls just decide to go at it and kick each others ass!!! i say "Thats WICKED!!" more than a few times as they were going at it.. not before long, security came to break it up and that was the end of that.. one of the girls wanted to press charges, but I dont know what happened after the actual fight. Turns out my friends were almost 2 hrs late becuz their flight got delayed. Whatever. drop their bags off, and went to fatburger. Got a fatburger combo with thick fries.. pretty good food for fast food, and i'd definitely return. then walked all the way to the Ballys and crossed the bridge over to the Bellagio to try to find a table to play at. there was only one seat available at the 5$ table so i let my female friend play on it first.. She couldnt lose. with a press she was up almost $200 in profit in 20 mins.. lost it down to $125 profit and then turned the seat over to me. I, could not continue the hot streak, but more importantly, THERE WAS NO DRINK SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think I got one drink while i played at the table, and there were people who didnt play the "right" method, resulting in me losing almost all my chips.. I was down to my last chip when i had to borrow one from my friend to double down.. won that hand, eventually clawed back to even, and being frustrated at people who hit their 13's against a dealer 6 and those who stay at 15 when the dealer is showing a 10, i managed to walk away even, which surprised me. the other friend of mine, (the guy) (there was a girl & a guy), also made $90 on a $15 table.. so everyone was in decent spirits. Walked back, and took some pictures and stopped at a Walgreens to pick up necessities such as Chap Stick (my lips were swollen like mad at the beginning of the trip), and water and juice etc etc.. went back to the MGM, saw that the casino was too hot and it was virtually empty again.. went up to the room and used the hot tub inside the room. Very nice after a long day. tried sleeping, but ended up falling asleep at 6am..

    12/23 Day 2

Woke up at 11am, went to the Aladdin to have a try at the Spice Market buffet. It was a decent spread, but nothing was really special.. after eating lunch, I think we went to the Bellagio and once again I sat at the 5$ table, and I made $35 before deciding to go somewhere else because once again, there was barely any drink service. turns out that drink service was dead either way, so i sat back down at the same table and made another $65 bucks. My other two friends decided to wander the shops of bellagio and then we met up I think about an hour and abit later and then my guy friend started playing at the $15 tables... i walked around the forum shops with my female friend, and by then it was dinner time. We got a table at the cheesecake factory in Caesars and gave the guy friend of mine a call.. Turns out he was playing at the $15 tables the whole time and got completely hammered in the process. I had never gotten drunk or seen this guy drunk before, and boy, was he the most annoying mofo drunk ever. he couldnt find his way to the cheesecake factory and apparently had guest services bring him over. He was extremely proud of the fact that he was drunk as if me and my female friend had never gotten drunk before. kept blabbing onnnnnnnnnn and onnnnnnnnnn about his session at bellagio. When one is sober, this guy is extremely hard to stand. He also kept telling me how I was right about the Bellagio pouring a strong drink, and how after he tipped the waitress 2 bucks, she kept coming back to refill his drink. most annoying guy EVER. Kept going on and on throughout dinner. after dinner, I think we went our seperate ways and the two of'em went back to the MGM to the Adidas store to shop around and I went to the Bellagio to try my luck at the BJ table. Now there was another funny situation at this table. There was an old guy, about 60 or so, sitting at first base of a $5 table at the Bellagio, and he was trying to tell the anchor (japanese guy who had no idea how to play) when to double down or when to hit. this annoyed the two middle players to death. this guy also tried to CHEAT at the table... he said something about tipping the dealer two bucks and then if he lost he'd get five back.. well he lost his hand, and obviously his two dollars was taken as well.. then i THINK he got all pissed off and wanted his 5 dollars back. the other two sitting at the table reamed him out and i said something along the lines of "u're a real big man, squabbling over five bucks" too bad his dumbass wasnt smart enough to press his bets at the table and played an even 5$ the whole way. had he pressed, he woulda been up a couple hundred easy. I ended up waiting an hour for this old foagies seat and proceeded to lose 50 bucks in 10 minutes... well that sucked. walk outta the bellagio like a dejected loser (i dont like losing, even if its fiddy bucks) and back to the MGM.. propositioned by two hookers... ill pass.. went back to the MGM and had a long soak in the hot tub.. relaxing.. by now its about 5 am and my friends are still up watching tv.. i decided to stay up as well, because i decided to play in the 10am Hold'em tournament at the Mandalay Bay.

    12/24 DAY 3

Having heard that sign up goes by REAL quick.. I made sure that i showed up right at 7am to signup. Did just that, and as it turns out, the tournament would not even fill up to its 30 person maximum. went straight back to the hotel to nap for two hours and showed up 5 mins late to the actual tourney. still had my blinds intact. The format in this tourney was real crappy IMO. it was a limit/no limit tourney with the first hour being limit. blinds started at 10-15 and went up every 15 mins. That's fine, but then you only get 300 dollars in chips to start! this format means that if one does not win a couple of pots within the first hour, they will be a short stack once it switches to No Limit. well i hung around for about 45 mins, before getting AQ offsuit in first position. I cold call, and get raised by middle position. nobody else played, so i called the raise. flop was 3 rags and I had two overcards. i checked, he raised. by now , the blinds were 50-100 and i only had 125 left. Seeing as i'd be Big blind next hand, i had to go all in. He obviously called and turns over Jacks.that was the end of that. 13th in a field of 20. this was my first live tourney ever, and there was little i could do to improve my situation. Oh well, always next time. Went over to the Blackjack tables for some odd reason and they had a good game going in the morning. 5 dollar minimum, dealt from a shoe, surrender available, double on any two cards STAND ON SOFT 17. This was a big thing, as every other casino hit their soft 17, unless you were playing 100$ tables at the bellagio, which would get you the rules listed above, and a single deck. Got ID'ed.. process went as such
willy (dealer): How old are u man?
    Me: 21
Willy: you look like you're 18!
    Me: uhhhh alright
pit checks my id , approves
willy: He got it at a swap meet! thats where i got mine when i was young!

interesting conversation.. seemed friendly enough. Sat down, played a bit.. left up 75 bucks, which paid for my poker tourney and a bit of the losses the nights before. Went back to the hotel and napped for about two hours, before my friends woke up. we decided on the Bellagio for dinner, and i said i'd meet them there at 445 to lineup. I told them to go wander around becuz i didnt want to go anywhere with the guy friend. So i stayed around, and saw on the news that the monorail was open. So at 4 , i hopped on the monorail from the MGM Station to the Ballys/Paris station. I'll give my comments on the monorail at the end when i throw all the tidbits together. Got to the Bellagio at 415 or so. Saw the buffet was $37.95 for dinner and called my friends and asked if they were up for it. they were, and by now, the line was growing bigtime. So instead of waiting for them til 445, I did the smart thing by jumping in the line at 415. Once again, I make a good choice, as i waited for about 40-45 mins to get to the front of the line. When i got to the front, the two show up and didnt have to line up for a SECOND. had we waited til 445, we would've waited for about 2 hrs easily. when we left at 730, the line was 4 lines deep and very very long. The food was amazing and worth 38 dollars. They had the usual king crab legs , sushi and whatnot. But also had a huge thing of lamb and Kobe beef. the beef was very good. Desserts were superb as well, and just all around a good meal. my guy friend kept repeating how good everything was.. only everytime he spoke , it was with an expletive. "this is fu@#ing good" "holy sh1t this is fu@#ing good" you get the idea. The man has no class whatsoever, and sat with a leg on the other chair. He also has a tendency to brag about what he's eaten and where he's eaten it , when me and my female friend dont really give a rats butt. Apart from eating with a rather classless individual, the meal was fantastic. Afterwards, I think we did the tourist thing and wandered down the strip. Went into Casino Royale to want to try our hands at craps. 2 dollar tables was full so I got the funbook at the 50 dollars in free slotplay. Didnt hit jack. bought two beers and double fisted.. afterwards, we went to the venetian and took some pictures and tried to find a $10 table. No Luck, so I told them to go wander somewhere else (i couldnt stand the incessant yapping of my guy friend, pretending to know a lot about vegas when in fact he regurgitates the info i give him, 24 hrs later as if i wouldnt remember).. i couldnt give a sh1t where he went. I felt bad for my female friend for having to put up with him. She was getting a little fed up too, but didnt let it get to her like i let it get to me. Went into the Mirage for some $10... found a open spot in the middle just as the shoe was about to be finished shuffling. Stoli Cran's came at a decent pace, and after playing out one whole shoe,i was up $100. Left the mirage after that and took the monorail home from the Harrahs station. found the other two in the room and then the three of us went to the Mandalay Bay. the guy friend apparently didnt want to sit at a BJ table with me and my other friend (he's very self conscious and afraid that we'd criticize him if he didnt play right or if he didnt press his bet, when in fact we could care less). The Stoli Cran's came VERY VERY quick at the Mandalay. My female friend had a cold cold seat at anchor,so the three of us ended up playing at seperate tables. I got absolutely bombed playing here, and the cocktail waitress was the best. She even brought me two waters and said "you'll thank me in the morning" what a doll. ended up walking away with $98 of my $100 buy in. My female friend walked up $150 and annoying boy walked away i think up five bucks and bragging non stop about how he was drinking johnnie blue label. even when i was drunk i thought he was annoying as hell. they were hungry so i told them to go to the food court to get eats and bring me back something . they did that, and i proceeded to have the most fun of the whole trip. Courtesy of what you ask? the SIGMA HORSE RACING GAME OF COURSE! it was about 330am now, and the game had a few open seats. the rest were occupied by people who were absolutely HAMMERED and had got to know each other quite well. seeing as i well quite drunk as well, we got along great. They were all drinking Long Islands, so i conformed and plenty of high fives and hugs were going around whenever someone won. it was just great cheap drunken fun, as i lost only 5 bucks, but i think i had another 3-4 long islands before the group decided to disband about 40 mins later. great times... Easily the most fun i had on the trip was this session at the horse racing machines. Went back upstairs completely hammered. turns out they bought me a soft taco and a ham sub. ALRIGHT! ate it.. and proceeded to pass out immediately , with annoying guy friend continuing to espouse how great long island iced teas were.

    Day 4 12/25

Today i was forced to wake up at 10 as we had to check out of the Celebrity Spa Suite and into a normal room (spa suite was 169 on christmas day, while normal room was 89 + we got another $45 in dining credit). Good thing we were left on the same floor, only in a different wing. So moving things around wasnt too difficult. The new room was a two queen and was decent sized. the bathroom was 1/2 the size of the Spa suite, but it'll have to make due. got settled and went over to the venetian's Grand Luxe for lunch. This place will never disappoint. I had the Chicken Parmesan and it was reeeeeeeealy good. had some kinda drink called a Citrus Flip. Three different kinds of juices with some sprite to add some fizz to it. Very good. After lunch, i think we wandered a bit, but i dont remember what the hell we did. I do remember going into the Paris and seeing no $10 tables , but plenty of $10 single deck 6:5 games. We went next door to the aladdin and each played at a different 10$ game. I was taking a bit of a beating here, and fought to be up 60, but then lost a double down hand.Next hand, split 3's against a dealer 5. got a 8 on the first split, doubled to get a deuce. a 10 gave me thirteen on my second three and i stayed. Dealer made twenty and i walked away up 8 bucks. Went to find my two friends and they were getting their asses handed to them at another 10$ table. i put an additional 8 bucks on my female friend's 10 dollar bet and we won the first hand, but then lost the second.. so that was the end of that. She ended up losing $150 and annoying boy dropped a Franklin. I dont think they were big fans of the Aladdin after that. Went to the Grand Wok Cafe for dinner. THis was a asian cafe in the MGM that served up Chinese, Japanese And Vietnamese cuisine. I got a seafood fried noodle dish and we split some sushi. Annoying boy let us know how "fu#$ing good" the seafood in his noodles were. By now i was completely fed up with him, and was kicking myself at picking such a crappy vegas buddy. [IMG] anyway, the Bill for the three of us was $101, but with our $45 credit that we got with the room, it was a decent 65 bucks with tip. I'd eat there again, given a dining credit. or else imo the food was a bit overpriced. Afterwards, i think we laid around the hotel room for a bit, and my female friend fell asleep. I left the room before my guy friend would cling on to me and went to the mandalay. The gambling gods frowned on me bigtime, as i lost $100 at a $10 table.then tried to put $20 into a wheel of fortune machine.. dropped that in 3 mins tops. NOW i feel like a loser! went back to the MGM hoping that the Horse Racing Machine had some drunkards playing it. No luck. went back upstairs to watch tv... annoying boy walks in, and i forgot how much he said he lost, but who gives a sh1t. he was drunk again and was annoying again. i told him to shut up as i was goin to bed. Saw the earthquake situation on TV and thought awwwwww sh1t... this isnt good... and fell asleep.... only.. to be awaken at random moments of the night by annoying boy's random convulsions in the bed and moving around.. he cant sleep still for some god damn reason and i was ticked off beyond belief. anyway, that night passed and morning cracked. We had to move over to the IP today, becuz i was nice enough to try to find them a cheap room because i was flying red eye out at midnight. I dont know what to say about the IP's room. we got the basic non remodeled room with two doubles. um There was no lock on the bathroom door.. and it was just your basic no frills room for 49 bucks i guess. I didnt have to sleep there, so i could care less. After dropping the luggage off, we ate lunch at mcdonalds. it was a coin flip between the grand luxe again or mcdonalds. Mcdonalds won out, and i couldnt complain. a double cheeseburger and some chicken mcnuggets did me just fine. We went to the Las Vegas Premium Outlets after and did some shopping. I , of course went my own route and said to meet up with them in a couple hours. things worked out... Bought a pair of timberlands and a couple of shirts and then we cabbed it back to the IP at 5. My female friend wanted to go to the Forum Shops at Caesars again, so annoying boy tagged along while i watched the WSOP on TV. I still have yet to watch the whole WSOP Main event, because there's no ESPN in Canada. We agreed to meet up at Todai for a Japanese Buffet at 8 pm. I left the IP at 730'ish to ride the monorail to the aladdin. and then surprise surprise... after it moving for one whole stop. The thing was "experiencing technical difficulties".. it stopped at the Caesars Palace/ Flamingo station with its doors open for about 5 mins before i decided to screw it and walk to Todai. had to wait til 830 til we were seated at Todai. The food was pretty good, and the bill was 102 for 3 people after tax and tip. We ate for a very very long time, and had to haul ass back to the IP to cab it to Mccarran. Almost missed my flight if not for the cabbie driving fast. Red Eye back to Toronto was nice and fast. America West is much better than Air Canada.

    Summary:

Well this trip could've been so much more, had my annoying guy friend not came along. He had a comment about anything and everything, and was super concerned with the way me and my female friend viewed him. My female friend shops at Gucci and I wear relatively pricey threads, so i think he felt he had to make a lotta false claims and just bluff a lot to fit in, when in fact me and my friend could've and HAVE accepted him in the past for who he is. I dont know what made him change like this.

So pick the people you goto vegas with wisely, as they will make or break your trip

    - Grand Luxe @ the Venetian. Eat there. Cheap eats, huge portions, stunning food. simple as that

    - Horse Racing Game: find a buncha drunkies and play it. great times for cheap.

    - If you dont want to deal with people that stand on 14 against a dealer seven, or people who dont hit their 16's against a dealer face card, I suggest the 25 dollar tables, cuz the $5 and $10 dollar tables are filled with rookies. Of course the rookies and save the table, but its always good to see some consistency in what they do at the BJ table. I never once said anything cuz i know it can help me as well. But there were definitely a lot of rookies at the lower limits tables.

    - Cocktail Service! WHAT HAPPENED???????? I only had GREAT service twice. Once at the MGM Horse Racing machine (first night) and at the Mandalay Bay. The Mirage had decent service, but i only stayed for 1 shoe, so i could only have 3 stoli crans. Cocktail service was generally very very poor.

    - Vegas was pretty dead for the weds and thurs i was there. The weekend was a bit more lively, which makes the general vegas vibe better. Next time i go, i think i will go on the wknd, because the weekdays just didnt cut it.

    - The Monorail: retarded!!!! the stations are so far that it makes riding the monorail pointless! Unless one stayed at the IP or Harrahs (where the stations were relatively close to the hotel elevators), riding it is absolutely pointless. The Flamingo/Caesars and Ballys/Paris stations were located so far back of the hotel that riding the 302 CAT bus would make much more sense. The monorail was free when i was there , thats why i rode it that much

    - Didnt drink any yardlongs, cuz my female friend "wasnt up for it" and I knew better than to drink with annoying boy

    - Ended up winning $20 bucks or so in gambling... i guess we call that a victory, given the # of opportunities i had to gamble in the 5 days i was there. Sure be nice to win something though

    - Didnt get a chance to go downtown, cuz female friend always found something better to do on the strip, and i was not going anywhere with Mr.Annoying by myself.

TIMESHARES!!!! - DIDNT GET PROPOSITIONED ONCE! and the once that were offered seemed like they weren't offering cash up front. I saw there was one in Caesars Palace that offered a $100 gift card for the forum shops. In hindsight, I shoulda took that... maybe nexttime. sorry to disappoint guys!

I think my niche of vegas buddies is the college student that loves drinking and gambling. I still have yet to visit a strip club in vegas.. maybe next trip. I know i will select my crew more carefully. NO MORE VIRGINS! im tired of going around seeing the strip! im 21 and this was trip #6 already! time to get down to the nitty gritty of vegas! sex, gambling and drinking!

I know this TR was extremely hard to read cuz nothing was really in a sentence. For that i apologize. It was extremely hard for me to write this report out, becuz of the rather crappy time i had. Lets hope for a better report next time around!

PS. I slept for an extremely long amount of time after i got home. and still feel tired. I asked one of my buddies and he said it was iron deficiency. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. its almost 7am now, and im still up.... * [IMG] i dont know...
THanks for reading folks, and sorry once again for the lack of sentence structure

    Eddie

That was a f**king great read, man, the best f**king trip report ever! Just kidding, you're absolutely right about going to Vegas with the right people. Suggestion for when you're killing time waiting for folks to get in: racebook. Bet a little on the ponies, watch some races, get some free drinks. Good times.

Good TR. Too bad about your travelling partner.
I would of told "Annoying Boy" that he was annoying and told him to "Hit the Bricks". [IMG] A solo Vegas trip would be better than putting up with a fellow like that.

Using the F-word that much and in a classy joint, - it ain't classy. [IMG] Guys like him shouldn't go the Vegas. They need to stay down on the farm or out in the 'burbs......

    My 2 cents

Enjoyable read, AD. I must say I enjoy the stream-of consciousness mode in a good TR...makes me almost feel the buzz.

As for bad Vegas buddies, your Annoying Boy comes in #2- second to "Broke Golden Gate 99-cent Shrimp Boy" from an older TR...When I go, I generally have two subgroups of people, so I can pick and choose in a given moment who seems to be the most fun (or at least the least annoying)..or they can choose or avoid me LOL....perhaps three groups(hospital pals, old college pals, T2Vers) for MM 2005.

Last point, you're not iron-deficient...not with the Vegas diet you participated in, unless you have a predisposing condition...more likely, your lack of Circadian rhythm is disturbed.

kudos on a great TR...Jack

So which guy were you at the Bay's Poker Tourney? I was the red headed guy sitting across from the dealer, wearing the flamed out hawaiian shirt.

Sounds like a some good drunken fun if you could have just lost the Mr. Annoying! That is one tough lesson learned.

Should have just grabbed your gal pal and ditched him. He would have never found you downtown, where casino hopping doesn't require a monorail or bus. Nice read. Marty

    absolut-

sorry about "the annoying guy". at least you had an okay time. i felt the same way you do, when i went to vegas in june i didn't have that great of a time because the girl i went with only took $140 with her, she didn't want to do anything except lay by the pool and try to find stupid guys to pay for her way [IMG] I was so pissed. Don't you feel that you need to redeem yourself and go back?? I know I do. Nevertheless, Great TR. Thanks for sharing.

Well, I'm sorry you didn't have as good of a time as you wanted. It sounds like you made the best of things. I know how it is to not be with poeple that want to do the same things as you. My June trip, I didn't even write a Trip Report because it was that bad.

    Thanks everyone..

I didn't even get propositioned for a timeshare.. so much for that..

Habanaman- I was directly to the left of the dealer.. chinese guy who didnt say anything to the table... a bit of an enigma, so you might not've remembered me

as for ditching annoying boy, it would've been very hard, as he followed us like a Fox. He was so scared to be alone that he refused to lead the way even when crossing the street... a bit of an inferiority complex imo.. but that's ok.. lesson learned... no more trips with individuals like that.

Jack, If you thought 99cent shrimp cocktail boy would be annoying... This guy wouldnt shut up about how he's eaten at Emeril's before, and that we should go to Nobhill, when in fact we're all on a tight budget, but he wanted to profess the image that he was rich by dropping all these restaurant names. It woulda been the direct opposite of 99 Cent guy.

    Drea,
$140 to vegas? wowzers... thats a tighhhhhhhht budget.. sorry to hear that you had to deal with a crappy vegas buddy as well

Typh- The TR took 3 days to write... cuz it was so difficult to rehash all the crappy times... and the image of him being everywhere i was in veags.. ugh.... a good TR woulda been hammered out easy! not this one.. here's to a awesome trip next time [IMG]

Mesa- I dont know what happened to the 190 octane dude! i didnt feel like having one? i should've though... big mistake on my part...

Im possibly hoping for a trip as a grad present in May before i graduate in June. I know of a couple of dudes that most likely will know how to do vegas right. Lets hope i get through this horrible winter and make it to a pool in vegas come may!

    Thanks for the comments guys

Good Tr AD..big pity 'bout your lame pal ruining things for you! Especially as you were well up for it... Sorry to say but i started to laugh about your descriptions of his chat and actions..I've read a lot about the drinks service slowing down a lot, even a few buds from work have mentioned the need to be in the place for hours and spend a fortune to 'earn' a few brews. Nice tip for the SIGMA horse racing, my girl should love that and so will i after a cuppla zombies. :D

Note to brain : choose wisely the travel companions, lest the trip be ruined.

Definitely having the Vegas "crew" to accompany you to sin city is definitely a prerequisite for me. Maybe six or seven years ago, one of my first trips, a bunch of us went out to Nevada. Maybe like 15 or 16 couples. Nothing but aggravation. Luckily a couple of single friends went along, so the four of us basically split on the others after about ten hours of hell. I wouldn't know what I would've done if it wasn't for them.
