Kos Big Game Chasing Weekend at Ballys

Just got back from SB, err excuse me Big Game Weekend in Sin City.
This was a solo trip since I was wrapping up business with some follow on Vegas for pleasure.

Scheduled for a Friday night NS flight to LV, and as damn luck would have it plane was late out of Chi-town. SWA announced they would board us quickly and then make up the time in flight. 20 minutes after arrival at the gate, we get the announcement that a tire problem was delaying the flight. Off to the bar and finally an 1 hr 15 min later we get the boarding call. Arrived Vegas 7:15pm around 1 1/2 hrs late.

Carried on luggage to avoid the hassle and hit the cab line. Ridiculously long. After 10 mins finally make my way into a cab and off to Bally's. Hit diamond checkin, tried to score a Grand suite in North tower, but $100 extra and all low floors facing east. Took my standard room in North tower with a view of PH Towers and Bellagio fountains on right.

Down to the BJ tables, and buy in on a $25 dollar table for 1K. Faster then you could say Hookers and Blow I get my @ss handed to me with 14 losses and 2 wins. One being a BJ right after I dropped down form 100 to a 25 bet.

This proceeded to be the theme for the rest of the evening, with me dropping another 1K at the tables. Roll up to the room at 1am to get some room service. Quick meal and some Vodka and RB I am off to the slots. Finally luck started turning and I made back $500 on a Top Dollar $1 slot.
Deceide to call it a night at 3am, and head back to room for 5 hrs of sleep.
Down $1500 for first night.


Wake up around 8am Vegas time, quick shower and off to Paris buffet for breakfast. Thank God for Diamond status since poor fools in standard line were in for a good 25 min wait. Walk right in, get seated and grab some eggs and fruit. Fire alarm goes off and you could quickly tell who was still hung over from the night before. Leave a fiver and head over to Paris for more BJ action. Buy in for $500 and quicker then Macker can pull a Rascal Flatts scam out his rear, I drop another $500 in 12 straight losing hands.

Off to the cage for another 1K and the 3 card tables. SUCK SUCK SUCK, a flush draw was all I saw for 20 hands. Licking my wounds, I deceide to head off to find a host and try to score a SB party ticket. Get the standard BS about being booked up, and watching my play, etc. Offer to take my remaining 3K on deposit at Cage over to MGM and was offered a comp seat at the Tailgate party at Paris Sports Bar. Grab my ticket from Box office, and head over to Caesars for some R&R at spa. Got a great massage and some sauna.

After sweating out all the booze from night, I shower and head down to CP casino where the losing continued. Dropped $1000 on a dollar slots including Cleopatra, blazing 7's. Finally made $200 it back on a penny goldfish slot. Ate lunch at Augustus cafe. Thought about hitting BJ tables at Caesars, but deceided instead head over to Wynn.

Cabbed it to WYNN to finally see luck turn around abit. Got a replacement Red Card and headed to TDB + poker at .50 cent level. Quickly hit premium Quads and four aces to be up $800 in 10 minutes. Deceided to bump up to $1 level and slow played that back thru over the next couple of hours. Racked up some point on my Wynn card with hopes to see some discounted or comp room offers. Racked up a few thousand points with a $500 dollar loss at Wynn. Still up $300 for day.

Walked back to Bally's via Harrahs where I managed to drop remaining $200 on me at $15 BJ tables. Ate at Flavors and get back to Ballys around 8pm. Pretty tired and end up passing out watching sportscenter. Woke up around 1:30 am and head back down to casino where I grab a few hundred from cage and head back to tables. Finally catch a winning session at Paris at $25 tables and manage to win $800 off $300 buy in. Partied with some So Cal girls who were new to BJ givng basic strategy advice drinking RB and Stoli vodka. Dealers changed around 5am and the table went cold. Took my winnings and called it a night, up $1100 for the day.


Wake up around 11am with a pounding heading. Couple of tylenol and a shower back in good form. Order up some steak and eggs to the room, check morning line, and head down to the book to make my SB wagers. Took Pitt, GB kicking off, Pitt odd score, and under 45 for parlay. Bet $200 with hope of making $1200. Play some more dollar slots and manage to win a couple of hundred, and head over to Burger Brassie at Paris for Big Game Party. Sit at the bar and meet up with some Steelers fan's. I Tip the waitress twenty for the first drink, and get good service the rest of the game. Buffet was okay, and I drank domestic beer for free. $2 shots was the name of the game and Captain Morgan girls were giving swag to encourage people to start buying shots. Steeler fans at bar were buying shots when Pitt got going in 4 quarter, bought a round for my new found friends.

Got good and drunk at party, and alternated staring at Michelle the hot waitress and the Big game for 4 hours. Ended drinking about 8 shots and 10 beers at the party. Lost my bet by early in 4th quarter with the over to add to misery GB won as the icing on the cake.

At the end of the game I headed back to room to detox. Woke up around 11pm and head back down to casino, grab the Aces special at St. Louis Cafe for a quick meal, and off to $1 video poker. Caught a couple of 4ofK quickly which took me up $700. Cashed out and headed over to Bally Bartops by Nosh and managed to squeeze out another $1200. Up $1900 for the day. Deceide to call it a night and head to bed.

Wake up 6am shower and head back down to Bally's bar tops. Go on a 4 hour tear and managed to rack up up 2000 points with lots of 4ofK's and a couple straight flushes on TBP+. Cash out up $600.00 and left bartender a $20. I deceide to head over to Cosmopolitan to register for slot club and check the place out.
Cosmopolitan is pretty quiet, which appears to be normal for Monday morning. I get my Idenity membership bumped up to Gold by flashing diamond card. Deceide to play dollar shots but manage to drop a portion of morning VP winnings. I Deceide it would be cheapper today to hit the SPA. So I head back over to QUA for massage and more time in Sauna.

Around 2pm Grab a quick bite at Cafe Largo and deceide to walk over and play at PHO. Hit the John Wayne penny slots where I quickly turn $100 into $600 bucks. Cash out and hit the tables where my losing streak came back. BJ, Three Card, Mini Bacc did not matter what table I played. I lost and lost. Wiping out my winnings I head back to room to nap, and plan for my last night.

Wake up at 7pm and deceide I am too tired to casino hop. Hit the VP bar tops at Sully's where I quickly turn $100.00 into $800 on .50 DDBP. Got 4 to the Royal three times but could not close the deal. Headrf over to rapid roulette next to Indigo lounge, Good music but the gaming Gods where not friendly. No 17's or 14's.
Quickly dropped $300.00 in a matter of 20 mins.

I Deceide to go to bed around 10pm Vegas time and keep $400 of todays winnings. It was at this point I am dead even for the trip, and determined to go home in the black.

Wake up 5am on Tues, pack and shower need to make 8am flight.
Head down to Sully's bartops where I make a quick few hundred on .50 VP DDB with two premium quads. Cash out and head to Deal or No Deal. Lost first bonus round, but manage to win $520 on next. Grab breakfast at coffe bar stand, and grab Taxi to airport. Thru security in 10 minutes and off to gate. I have 30 mins before boarding so head to $1 WOF where I manage to win $400 bucks. I am up $1200 hundred for trip so I head back to the gate where I officially book a winning Big Game Weekend.
