    My Trip Report

I'll be doing the usual tweets here:

I'll post a summary of the day with photos on my blog. However, I intend to write up a complete trip report when I return too.

I'm currently waiting for my 12:50pm flight to Vegas out of San Jose airport.

Plans today are to check into Palazzo, then go with my friend Socalgirl to Cosmopolitan where we are meeting a friend from Alaska for drinks at the Chandelier Bar. Then we are celebrating Socalgirl's birthday at Jaleo at Cosmopolitan. I will also see if I can get a identity card upgraded due to Grazie Gold status and Platinum status with MGM resorts.

Tuesday I have 2 girlfriends from where I live flying in to join me and since they want to play it by ear I don't know how the trip will go from that point, other then we have plans on Thursday evening to freeze out on Olives restaurant patio so they can see the fountain shows. :)

    Thanks Ardee and Skye. :)

Sorry for the lack of updates to the blog up until now, but I'm having some connection issues, not sure if it's on the end of the hotel or blogger. I just posted a few photos there until they wouldn't upload any longer and a short summary.

However for those who might not want to read the blog, here's the gist.

I love the bling and glitz of Cosmopolitan.

The cocktail service and quality of drinks on the Cosmo casino floor are great.

Chandelier bar currently has some service issues, but they are new and I'm sure eventually they will improve.

Jaleo is a wonderful Tapas restaurant, I look forward to returning there.

As reported by others before me, players can get upgraded to Gold Identity by showing a Gold Grazie card and getting approval from a Cosmo host, if the Identity desk can find a host, they were in short supply on Monday evening, however I eventually got the upgrade.

I will never take my eye glasses again to Las Vegas. Yes, I've lost another pair, (the last set drove off in a taxi last year without me) hopefully they will get turned in to Cosmopolitan lost and found before I leave on Friday.

Venetian and Palazzo are crowded, the slots and tables are busy, they are doing a great business. Personally I prefer it when it's less crowded and I'm amazed that mid week in January after CES it's this packed.

I hit $750.00 on the $5 WOF last night and a $1000 on the $5 Wheel of Fortune tonight and I'm still not ahead for the trip. :)

    I'm tired, need more sleep!

I have been following all your tweets Enjoy checking out the slot hits. I noticed you put a good bet in . I believe it takes money to make money . I notice when I play I never get anything large for a hit. If I do then I bump my bets and man when you hit it is usually 3-500 on a good bonus.

sammowhammo, Cosmopolitan really does have the bling, I love it. Unfortunately they are still having opening pains and service at the lovely Chandelier bar was so poor we finally had to leave without ordering. Fortunately the free drinks at Cosmopolitan's casino are terrific and I consider them among the best the strip has to offer.

sulobo, I agree it usually takes money to win money, though I did see some people get some really good hits this trip betting 60 cents, so bottom line it's usually just luck with a negative expectation game which the slots are, though some do pay off better then others. I did have a handful of bonuses this trip that retriggered 2 or 3 time on a $4 bet that in the past would have been a win for over $800 or more, but fizzled out to a couple hundred so that was a bit disappointing. :)

I've updated the blog with a couple new posts, including videos. There's a video in one post of the electronic rabbit for Chinese New Year Display at Palazzo. A short one of the Venetian gondola ride, though I will upload a longer one on youtube later and link it to the blog. There's a video of the production they do at Cut restaurant with their chocolate souffle, video of Cosmopolitan's Jaleo restaurant's deconstructed Clementine Martini and how they serve it to you, along with the lowest win I had on the $5 Wheel of Fortune, since that's the only time I remembered to take a video of a spin.

Tomorrow I'll post video's of the 3 different types of bonus games on the new Star War's Droid Hunt Slot. I'll also post a full trip report next week.

I wasn't able to keep up with the live reports as much as I would have liked this trip. Unfortunately I think the hotel internet connection wasn't as secure as I would have hoped it to be and even though I have a very random password on Facebook someone hacked into that account and told people on my friend list who were online at the time in Facebook chat that I was in London and had been robbed at gun point along with my whole family and needed them to send me money. Fortunately most on my friend list know me well and knew it was a scam and no one that I know of was taken advantage of but it did keep me busy for one whole day taking calls, emails and other alerts from friends on Facebook about it.

I guess the scammer should have told my friends I was in Vegas and needed money instead of London then one of them might have taken the bait. ;)
