    My Trip Report

Some random thoughts after our visit at the NYNY October 23rd to 28th while they are fresh in my mind.

Obama was just leaving town when we got there, so that meant the airport was pretty much shut down on the outside, which meant an extra 45 minutes to get our luggage. The airport with nobody on the tarmac made me think if Stephen King’s novella, “The Longoliers.”

Burger Bar good, Burger Bar even better when you haven’t eaten in 18 hours. Good first meal choice.
Stratosphere very expensive. But you can’t beat the atmosphere and view. Doesn’t anybody get dressed up to go to dinner anymore?
Chart House at the Golden Nugget was very good and reasonably priced (for Las Vegas). The service was outstanding.
Khoton was a pleasant surprise for a last minute substitution because we were running late to Mystere. Spicyyyyy.
Onda Ristorante before Love was also Vegas pricey, but the lobster ravioli was to die for, but not really worth $50.
First trip to In and Out. Cheapest meal of the week, better than Five Guys.

I know we were kind of off season, but we never had to wait for a table anywhere…..

There is something in Las Vegas that makes breasts bigger and more visible, excluding mine. Once again, miles of cleavage and I’m not complaining.

Rothlisberger's fumble cost me a lot of money. It killed me, but the Browns made me happy by winning and neutralizing the Steeler's not covering.. And I never pulled for the Patriots until Sunday, and there is no worse feeling than standing at a craps table and hearing the words "San Diego is attempting the game tying field goal" but as Meatloaf sang, two out of three ain’t bad…..i get to cash two tickets!!!!I was surprised to see the ESPN Zone was gone, the new place is like a ESPN Zone “light.” I will say the bartender had big breasts. And I never sat for 3 hours to play video poker, but $40 went a long way at the bar. Wizard of Odds says a Royal Straight Flush happens every 40,000 hands. I have officially played at least that many in my life and never hit one. I really do miss the 100 hand Video Poker they took out of the NYNY.

I have been to many Jimmy Buffet shows in many places over 30 years, but I have never seen anything like the show I saw in Saturday. Maybe because it was the last show of the tour, maybe because he had family and friends in the audience, but he was be-bopping around a lot more than a guy in his sixties normally does, and actually stopped the show to tell a story, which I have not seen him do in years. And the crowd was into it—the upper deck of the Garden was shaking. I was expecting “Its Midnight and I’m Not Famous Yet,” ( his ode to Las Vegas), but it did not make the setlist. I was extremely happy with “Cowboy in the Jungle,” and surprised how many different songs he did from when I saw him in Pittsburgh. And unlike Pittsburgh, there were lots of women with very large breasts.

Love is simply one of the best Cirque shows I have ever seen. During the show I could only keep thinking “I never did acid, but this must be what its like.”
Mystere might have been enjoyed more if we did not see Love first. It was entertaining, but not life changing.

Presidential Limousine rules and worth the $99 roundtrip from the airport. And our driver had large breasts.

I wonder how many people have considered jumping off the Stratosphere without the cables?

No hookers until my last night there, and then it was like “Night of the Living Dead.” They were everywhere in the casino, walking around walking around, walking around. One asked me where I was going to at the Center Bar, when I indicated the craps table, she said “If you take car of an Angel in a room, good luck will come to you at the tables tonight.” I told her I would take that under advisement, but I already took care of an Angel in a room by setting her up with M&Ms, Fresca and a PPV movie you can watch from a jacuzzi, and a promise I wouldn’t gamble away our kids college fund. She did have large breasts though…..

The clientele at the NYNY has definitely gotten younger. They are going to be chasing us old fogies out. Is it really necessary to have scantily clad women writhing on a stage behind the blackjack tables? “I’m tryin’ ta concentrate here, too many breasts......”

Nothing was more disappointing than my first visit to City Center. I guess I just don’t get it, but it left me cold. I was actually aggravated with it because it took the strip view away from our room. And there were no women with large breasts there either.

I’m sure they were a bitch to dust, but I miss the trees in the NYNY casino…neon just doesn’t do it for me……

The craps boys at the NYNY are the best, bar none. Super friendly and helpful, pulling for you all the time, grateful for the tokes. I had a blast there….I was surprised when the players club rep told me I spent only 12 hours there…I actually cracked a pit boss up when I asked him if my play qualified me for a NYNY Buffet comp….he said “absolutely!”

The Field on a craps table is a sucker bet, but it saved my week…I never hit it so many times in my life……

Played blackjack to perfection with basic strategy and still got my ass handed to me—and I don’t care what you say, when a player at your table refuses to hit a sixteen when the dealer is showing a ten messes with table karma big time…even if the player has large breasts...

$17 for a shot and a beer at the Center Bar? Really? Come on….did you charge the girl with large breasts that much????

The bridge by the Hoover Dam is an absolute must see---I still can’t wrap my head around that thing –it is awesome…..

Next trip—it’ll be here before you know it……in the meantime I'll just entertain myself with Victoria's Secret catalogs...

Love was the first Cirque show we ever saw and now we have seen them all. None have even been close to being as great as Love.

I agree about City Center. I just don't get it. How many Louis Vuitton & Tiffany stores does one town need?

Awesome report.. Will be at nyny next month..good to hear about the good craps dealers, nothing bums me out more than dealers who are yawning/staring straight ahead. outta curiosity, did you stay in a regular spa suite or better? How was it? Will be staying in one for the first time..

Congrats on a fun trip and many "entertaining" citings!

The pit comp to the NYNY buffet is the easiest one to get. Everyone knows this. Lol

    Nice report!

We stayed at a regular spa suite and it was fine. I wanted to do a Marquis or Players suite, but my wife convinced me it wasn't worth the extra money considering how little time we do spend in the room. And, as always, she was right.

Don't get me wrong, there were a few sour pusses working the craps tables at the NYNY, but the fun ones way outnumbered them. The worst was at the MGM, it was like having moving mannequins for dealers. They didn't even say thank you when I hit a yo bet for them when I was shooting. The Monte Carlo had personable dealers, but there were icicles hanging from the table sides.
