    My Trip Report

Ok, for the past two years or so, my buddies and I have insisted that our "next trip" we're going to stay on the Strip for sure. After July, we all said "Definitely--March Madness at Monte Carlo"

Well, just this week, Eddie, Derek, and I all received letters from the LV Club offering us MVP rooms for $30 per night anytime between now and April of 2004. Sooooo....this past weekend, while hanging out in Phoenix with the fellas, it was decided that we'd rather spend that extra $100 per night at the craps and blackjack tables instead of paying the front desk at the Monte Carlo...

So yeah, we'll be staying downtown in March. Again.

With what you guys laid out in July, they should comp your rooms and send a jet to pick you up. You all staying at the MC makes me think "the Clampett's do the strip". Because you can take the fella's out of downtown, but you cannot take downtown out of the fella's.

Although it would be hillarious to see the teefs go tumbling down the craps table at the MC. [IMG]

Mikey, I always thought you should stay at the casino that best fits what you want. If you are looking for great time laying by the pool and a luxurious room with impeccable service and amenities, choose your hotel accordingly. If you view a room as a place to shower, change clothes and sleep a few hours before taking another run with the gambling gods, don't waste your money on 5 star hotel. I would rather save my vacation budget for gambling and food so I skimp on the hotel. Wouldn't the world be a boring place if we all wanted the same thing?

OMG that is way too funny! I'm trying to push LVC on my frineds when we go in March. Basic room, sleep, shower and shave. What else do you need?

I was toying with the idea of staying downtown myself, but didn't want to be far from the rest of the group...

This settles it, Downtown here I come!!! [IMG]
