    My Trip Report

    3-21/3-23

As usual,I arrived in Vegas via Greyhound at
midnight Fri. and had made reservations at El
Cortez.10 min. later I'm in the room and unpacked
First things first.Go to the bar and get a beer.
For as many years as I can remember, the ElCo has
had a "beer of the month" for a buck. For at
least 3-4 years that beer was Corona.Well I hate
to report that that deal is gone.Beers are now
$1.75,Booo!So I grab a beer and head to the
lovely Western Hotel and Casino to warm-up for
some SERIOUS Blackjack.By now it's about 1am Sat.
morning and there was knowone,I MEAN KNOWONE,on
the street between ElCo and Western,WOW! So I
stroll down the street and find a new police sub-
station across from the southern parking lot.Very
weird,it's a little corner building with brand
new paint and cool mirrored windows.Stands out
like a sore thumb. So on the sw corner is the cops
then across the street,a big parking lot, then the
Western.Sort of looks like a no-fly zone for the
cops.Anyway, sit down at the Western, buy in for
$100 and play red. There were quite a few people
in the casino playing,so it was'nt very good for
counting.Just counted in my head and played basic
strategy.Had alot of fun and a couple beers and
    lost my whole buy-in,MMM?,off to a goodstart.Time
to go play for real. It's to early yet for the
ElCo so it's off to Binion's.Found a table that
had 2 people at it and sat down.Single deck,$25
min. and buy in for $1500/20 green/10 black.Play
    45 min.,win or loose,leave the table.The highest
bet was $200 a hand on double and the same goes
    for losses,you don't always win.Cash-out and up
$625,cool!Then I just wonder around to most of
the casinos and do the same thing.I look for
decent single or double deck games"that's what I
    like",playing a 1-3/1-6 spread,trying to look
more like I'm a green player then a black player.
when I'm winning, the winning get added to the
$1500 stake and the bets go up.The buy in is
always the same $1500 min.I played for 7 hours,
    up this round,$1275.After that I was drained,so
    I just wondered around,had a couple beers,shrimps
    from the Golden Gate,good as always.Spent 2-3
    hours just walking/looking/daydreaming,played an
old $.25 FPDW for an hour or so at the Plaza and
Finally put a couple points on my card there, hey
    who knows.
Well, that about wraps up day one.Sounds like
fun HUH? Stay tuned... exciting day two next!

Go get 'em, Booger. I would have thought that Becky's Binions would be watching pretty close for counters playing green/black. What's your counting method?

Oh man-that just spoiled my day! No beer of the month at the ElCo. Vegas is going to Hades. Please tell us that the Barbary Coast is still a buck a drink. [IMG]
