    My Trip Report

Since many of you on here had lots of input into my planning process, I wanted to do a pre-trip report and also to thank everyone for their help.

6 of us are leaving next Friday (11/8) from Chicago to O'Hare on United using frequent flier and arrive at 10:30. The other 2 arrive at noon.

Flying out on Sunday at 2:30pm.

    Hotel:
We are staying at Mandalay Bay. We were originally booked at Treasure Island but for $10 more, including 2 for 1 breakfast, we switched to MB.

    Meals:
On Friday, we have dinner reservations at Rosemary's at the Rio. In our February trip, we ate at the original Rosemary's way off strip on Sahara and loved it. We were psyched to see that they had opened up on the strip in September.

Dinner Saturday at Nob Hill in the MGM.

    Gambling:
Probably won't gamble as much this trip but plan on using a lot of my new-found knowledge I have gained from this board (thanks especially to Mikey, Vegas Jer, Shane, and Rugby Steve!)at the Craps table. In addition, my wife wants to play for the first time so I hope to take advantage of the Craps Virgin karma. Also plan to play blackjack and Roulette. Finally, me and the boys plan on spending a good deal of time at the MB sportsbook (God's Living room according to Mikey [IMG] ) watching my Buckeyes beat up on Purdue.

    Entertainment:
Big Elvis on Friday. Voodoo Lounge Friday night and then going to Flashback Friday's at the House of Blues at MB late Friday.
Saturday, ladies are going to the MB spa while we are at the Sportsbook. Rest of Saturday is currently up for grabs.

This trip has been in the planning stages for 7 months since all of us have multiple kids we are leaving home and everyone needed to line up childcare.

    Thanks again for everyone's advice.

Have a great time playing craps and watching the game (although I have to let you know that I'm a Michigan grad - GO BLUE!!!)

Now after I said that, I have a favor to ask. A friend and I are going to Vegas in March and we are thinking of eating at Nobhill at MGM. I've read a lot of good things about it, but it would be nice to have one more opinion. I've eaten at Aqua and Emeril's N.O. Fish House and wonder how Nobill will compare. Anybody in your group planning on having the tasting menu? Is there a way you can include a review of the restaurant in your trip report?

    Mile,

I was already to agree to your favor but that whole Michigan thing...

Just kidding. I will definitely include a review in my TR. As for the tasting menu, I think their rule is that they whole table has to do it and I think we decided to pass. I will let you know.

Also, after I return, check out my review of my other restaurant choice, Rosemary's, as the owner used to be the head chef at Emeril's and his original location has been voted the best off-strip restaurant in Vegas for a couple of years now. I think the website is rosemarysrestaurant.com.

    Go Bucks!!!
