    My Trip Report

Flew Omaha to Vegas Wed. 4-14 on SW, no problems. Arrived at 1:20, took a nice cab to Planet Hollywood, checked in, got my freebies, and dumped all bags off in the room. Played my $150 of free money at blackjack for a total of $75 real money! Had the Spice Market Buffet for dinner, and will never eat there again. It was awful! I cannot believe so many people love this place. Walked over to Aria, nice place, no luck gambling. Back to PH to gamble and drink our butts off. Bed by 5:00AM. Thursday got up at 9, went to Orleans for the noon poker tourney while buddy played the ponies. NO Terrilbe Mikes any more!! What a bummer. Also, the new Queen Slot Machine is such a downer, love the music, hate the machine. Had dinner at Pinks at PH. Very nice hot dog! Gambled and drank all night long at PH. Bed at 5:30, called buddies back home in Omaha to let them know I was just going to bed as they were going to work!! Friday got up and moved over to the Flamingo to meet up with 2 other friends. Went to the Go Pool, and OH LA LA!!! It got absolutly crazy there!! Stayed from 11 to 5. :wink2: Had dinner at the coffee shop, Prime Rib, was OK. Gambled and drank all night at Flamingo, Bills, Osheas, and Ceasers. Saturday, it was another pool day. Just when I thought things could not get any better, along came Cathy from Calgary!! I got to admire her Canadian Mountains and all their glory! After the pool, Cathy and I went in and had another drink, but no happy ending here. She stated that she had to meet up with her friends and she was leaving very early the next morning! Said good bye to one friend who was flying back on Sat, and went over to Ceasers where we ate at the food court, then played some poker. Booted out early, so told my friends I was going to the Mirage to shoot dice. Found a table, put my cash down, got my chips, placed a bet, and finally noticed the guy next to me. It was Ray Romano!! He was playing $100 line bet, full odds, and placing two numbers! I hit some points for him, and me, and we kept high fiving each other. That was pretty freaking cool!!! After he left, I cashed out a few dollars ahead, and meet up with my friends at Flamingo. You guessed it, gambled and drank until 5AM. Woke up at 10 on Sunday, had breakfast, played a few more slots, and headed back to Omaha at 1PM, no problems.
A few observations. First, the area between Bills and Harrahs was so glogged every night, it was hard to move down the sidewalk. All of the casinos on this side of the strip have become dirty and look beat up as well. Also, there were at least 5,999,875 people handing out stripper cards! I wish they could do something about that. The GO Pool is freaking awesome!! Coffee shop prices have gone through the roof. Cocktail service is becoming horrible, and finally, gambling and drinking to the wee hours of the morning is the greatest!! Oh, one last thing, propped by hookers at PH and Flamingo each night after 2AM playing slots! First night at PH by 4 different ones!!

    Nice report.

Did you play only poker tournaments? Or was there some limit or no limit games you played in? I was curious if you played at poker at PH specifically and how it was.

I guess I will be hitting the Go Pool in early May now. You caught my attention.

I played a tourny at Orleans and Ceasers. No live action at PH. I do not like their room, but they always had people playing.

Sorry, no pictures of the GO pool. It has only been 4 days since I was there, and I miss it already.

Nice report. I agree with you about the Spice Market buffet. I'm not that picky, but I can't understand why people rave about that place.
