We just got back from Vegas and we stayed at the Aladdin. The rooms are really nice and roomy with a great bathroom. Make sure you ask for a room in the south tower overlooking the strip and the Bellagio fountains. Its a great view. The buffet was excellent at the hotel, we ate there 3 separate times. The casino was a bit dead and we never won any money at the Aladdin. We also never heard any big jack pots from the slot machines. We walked down to the Flamingo and won big with the Flamin 7's $1 dollar slots. I have never seen a bank of similar machines with so many winners. At least 10 people that we witnessed had 500 to 1200 credits on their machines. Amazing. Have fun.

We just returned from a 5 night stay at the Aladdin too. We were very pleased and would stay there again. Our room was in the north tower with a great view of the Bellegio fountains ( a little obsructed by the Paris balloon, but not bad!)
As kozy said, the buffet was wonderful. We didn't do their breakfast until late in the week because we couldn't find anywhere on any of their signs that it was even open for breakfast! They only advertised the lunch and dinner. But we found out that they do have a breakfast buffet and it was very good.
We didn't hit much gambling there either, although there was one video poker machine right outside Starbucks where we won about $260 one morning. We really enjoyed the bands in the lounge above the casino. Cocktail service was pretty good, too. The most fun we had was up the street at Harrah's carnival court, where we sat and drank all afternoon and watched a band play 70's disco music and give out prizes. If you like that sort of thing, it was a blast.
You'll have a great time at the Aladdin - and it's convenient to many other attractions on the strip.
