Do you have an iPhone and a need to visit the board when you're away from your computer? ;)

We've installed some software on the board to let you browse and view the board much easier than with the mobile style we made.

There's an iPhone app called Tapatalk you can download for $2.99. Once you've got it installed, it's as simple as looking for us in the directory and clicking on the link. There might be an easier way to find us, but someone else (KenO!?) will have to help with that because I still have a StupidPhone.

Here is their website and the link to download their app at iTunes. Be sure to let me know what you think of it!

    http://www.tapatalk.com/

    UPDATE:

Tapatalk has added a Droid application too. The Blackberry & Nokia versions are in beta testing now.

See more in post #18 in this thread.

    UPDATE 2:

I just got another email from Tapatalk saying that they now have an app for Windows Mobile 6.5.
"The nifty little app is called "RapidRead", allows you to access just the same set of forums available on Tapatalk, runs on any Windows Mobile 6.X devices such as HTC HD2. "

If none of these options work for you, I have a really basic version of the board (no images, no timers, etc) that can be used pretty easily on phone browsers at: http://mobile.vegasmessageboard.com/

Please let me know if you have any questions about any of these options.

Re: Do you have an iPhone?

Remember, the payment for the app on the iPhone doesn't go to the board at all, it's just for the app itself

Thanks! Let me know how you like it or what I can change here to make it better for iPhone users.

I heard a whisper that there might be a version for Droid users at some point.

I wouldn't refer it out right now. The app crashes every three to five minutes, its so frustrating its almost comical. It's easier to just bookmark the page and get on here through safari. I'll let you know if they update the app to stop crashing.

I've had nothing but success with this app. It never crashes on me and I use it daily.

chwhtsox, sorry you're having trouble. Does it seem to crash randomly or while doing the same thing every time?

Have you asked in the forum there for some troubleshooting help?

The crashing has nothing to do with this board. As soon as I try to search it crashes, I was only able to get on here once in like 20 tries. It's not a big deal, I'm too lazy to trouble shoot.

Nice app. I just got on their website and read through the forum. It looks like that they are also developing the app for the Blackberry! That is good news for people like me who own the Storm.

I would love to have an iPhone but I can't get reception on AT&T where I live.

try to reboot the iPhone. AFter that, not much troubleshooting to do. It's unfortunate that you're having problems with the app, it's been working perfectly for me.

Got a note from Tapatalk today:

If you had a problem with the app before, maybe download the updated version and see if that helps.

    Let me know!

I just downloaded the free version of this app to try it out (it's on the link on the first post). It seems pretty decent. You just can't post or reply to IMs. So if you only want to check up on the site and are too cheap to pay $3 like me, it's worth a download.

Glad it works for you. Now that more and more people are using SmartPhones, I'm always looking for suggestions on how to make it easier to browse the board.

Excellent! I downloaded tapatalk and it works like a charm. Just in time for my next trip - thank you. This Droid is my first smartphone so this is all kind of new to me.

What kind of Droid did you get? I think I want one once things are normal around here again. I got a mailer from Verizon about the Droid X that looked pretty slick. I worry about when the phones will be too smart for me. :haha:

Dan had a blackberry for awhile that he loved, but I thought the call quality was awful. I want a good phone, but I want the shiny stuff too. I don't know if I can have both.
