    My Trip Report

We stayed at the Mirage first. Got a remodeled suite, but it was non-smoking, and the shower handle was so hard to pull out that my wife thought it was broken at first, and just went to her bathroom to take a bath instead.
The next night they moved us into a smoking/unremodeled suite. It reminded me of my grandmothers house, only here I could lay in bed and smoke a cigar. We laid in bed one night and watched an incredible lightning storm. A first for us in Las Vegas. The room faced MSS and Trumps. We didn't try the $20 trick.

Got about 10 Quads on VP here in the 3 days. I didn't take any pictures of them, but I hope you still believe me.

On the 2nd day, we (I) checked into TI. They gave us a suite on the top floor. Again no $20 trick attempt, and again the view was of Trump's place. We didn't actually sleep here on any of our 3 comped nights, but I did use the jacuzzi a couple times. They gave us $275 in freeplay, which I turn into $340 at the VP machines. I took that $340 and lost it all at the Encore.
Somehow I doubt I'll be receiving too many comp offers from TI in the future..but maybe we'll get some from Encore?

The next day we checked out of the Mirage, and into the Venetian for 2 more nights. No $20 trick here either...but still ended up with a nice view of the pool. Through my binoculars I was able get a full view of about a 75 year old lady in a bikini. So then I quit looking at the pool so much. They also gave us tickets to Phantom. I thought it was good...but the beer was $7. had the beer been say $5, I would have drank more of them and enjoyed the show even more.
Got maybe 10 more quads and a Strait Flush here. Again, I didn't take any pictures. I don't usually even let the credits finish running-up before I just hit "deal" again.

Took a cab to the Rio. First time there ever. Hit 4 Aces w/a 2 for $500 on a DDB machine. My biggest win of the 5 days.
My wife's best was $400 on an Elvis machine at the Venetian.

Came home down, but not broke.

I'd go back tomorrow if I could. My wife forgot our room number one night at the Venetian, and had to have the security guard call the front desk. I don't think she's going to let me double/triple book anymore (too many numbers for her to remember..and yet she apparently had no problem remembering our check card PIN). I kinda liked moving around, and it was nice that the hotels were so close to each other.

I witnessed that same lightening storm from my room that night too. It was amazing. Moving around is always fun if you have the time to do it. I will try next trip.

    Cool!
Sooo.. we were both in our rooms in Las Vegas, naked, watching the same lightning storm in bed? That's kind of romantic.
(in a "my wife probably wouldn't think so" kind of way)

It was kind of fun. Had to be careful not to leave something in one hotel that we'd need that night in the other.

Yes, I wouldn't do it, if it was just for a free room either. It's also nice to unpack and forget it.

    Thanks for the replies folks.

I realize my trip report was boring (if you're looking for flair try reading Prozac's). I almost didn't write one at all, because after 2 weeks home..I'm still suffering from post-vegas-partum-depression.

More than one here has suggested I book another trip, and I'm thinking about it.

We've even been to a local casino since we've been home. But it's like kissing your sister....nice, but she's no bright light city that's gonna set my soul on fire.

I've never witnessed a lightning storm in Vegas......guess you can't post pictures of that or we'd catch your naked reflection in the window:confused2:

I moved around a bit on our last trip (rooms at Rio and The Venetian) and really liked having the options, but ended up leaving behind my favourite bathing suit and coverup(hanging on the back of the bathroom door), so I will be more careful next time I multi-book.
