    My Trip Report

Our trip was 9 days long, 6 at PH and 3 at the Wynn. Both of these places involved either comps or a great deal I found on this site.

I LOVE PH, I wish they had a few more of my fave slots but I love it's location, i love the resort vistas rooms , I love having the miracle mile on location and i love having a casino host there who treats me like royalty . I think this is a nice hang out for celeb spotting, last year we saw Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman and also, Ludicrous , Snoop Dogg and Tommy Lee. This year as my other TR mentioned we sat and chatted with Charlie Sheen in the Sportsbook of PH.

I usually go hard on the machines for the first part of the trip then taper it back as I start to look at other things to do like shop or relax. This year was no different, I started out playing for hours and hours and being up about $500 mostly because of Star Trek by day 3 the tables started to turn and taking their money back and I cut back on my spinning. I turned my focus to betting on Hockey and again found good luck on doing Over/Under Betting. There was two of us who each threw in $100 each as "seed" money and we turned it into $600 each plus we still have a bet on the Master's that would pay $2000 if it comes thru. I find being in that enviroment makes you really appreciate every aspect of any sport. To me, I have no interest in NASCAR but being in there for the daytona 500, you realize every crash has people on their feet hoping their car makes it thru ok. Same with basketball, people are screaming at the TV's when someone misses a free throw in the first few minutes of the game as they bet the Over. I could spend more time in there next time as it can be a cheap (compared to spinning) form of entertainment plus if you know the sport a bit can have a little bit of an advantage.

    Food of Note :
PF Changs: for being a chain restaurant, I still love this place, we usually stick with the mongolian beef and Chang's Spcy chicken and then try two other items and split them all. I think I could eat here once a day if I could.

N9NE: I thought this place was way too loud for a nice meal. We had a table of 4 in a booth and the people at each end couldnt hear each other. I am glad I tried it but won't go back. The highlight here was Travis Barker of Blink 182 was there walking around shaking hands with a few tables. To be honest I knew he was a "somebody" but at the time wasnt sure. The next day the newspaper reported he and a member of good charlotte had been in there so when I looked up his pic, it was for sure him that we sat by. Don't order the skinny fires, not sure if this is just a canadian thing or not reference but they are very much like Hickory sticks,,,,,,very skinny, very tiny(maybe an inch or so long),,,,,,cannot use a fork on them and too small to put ketchup on them and use fingers.

Grand Lux : been said way too often by people on here, you can never go wrong with this place, it is always a staple place we go to on every trip. The only mistake we make is we order the Grand Lux Appetizer Platter , this thing is huge and a great selection of items so by the time our meals come we have killed off alot of our appetites. The chicken madeira is still my fave .
    Shows:

Jersey Boys: two thumbs up. Even if you dont know their music, the story line can carry the whole show and make you fans of the Four seasons by the time you left. I knew of franki Valli ( with an i not a y) but that bobby gordio is another member everyone would know once you find out what he has done before and after this group ( he wrote Who Wears Short Shorts and You don't bring me flowers). If you need a show to see, this is now right up there with Mamma Mia .

Elton John: this was the best concert we have seen in vegas yet , he rocked the house and you could hear the whole crowd singing along to every song. When it ended there was some older couples around us wiping tears from their eyes as it had brought back some great memories for them. I still think that theater is the best place for acoustics, we had our cell and we were claling people to let them listen back home and they could hear him crystal clear even on our cheap vegas pay as you go phones.

Copperfield: This show was a last minute decison, it was never on my radar to see but we went anyways and he blew me away. I purposely made sure we say close so I could see any wires or how he did things but it never happened. we sat in the third row and try as hard as I could to spoil the tricks he did, I have nooooo idea how he did it all and was left with my jaw on the floor. For $99 this is a great value . sad part is , I swore this last trick he did that I would get on stage , he throws beach balls thru the crowd and when you grab one, you get to go on stage..........i had one in my grasps at the last second and it was so full of air i couldnt squeeze it and fell onto the table next to us. I was pissed cause I wanted to be part and see it all up close.

Craig Ferguson: he was very funny, the only part that ruined it was some idiots from Alaska who kept chatting loudly thru the opening act. He finally stopped and told them to shut their pie hole. This didnt stop them, they kept talking until secirity came and escorted two of them out to the applause of the crowd.

    Rooms:
I had booked a Wynn resort room for the $169/night for nights and a friday for $269 which included $100 food credit . I tipped the front desk person and asked if there was any free upgrades. She sais yes that there was an executive room available which made me happy but then I went for it and asked if by chance there was a parlour suite ,she punched a couple keys and said yes, No problem. This room is huge and way more classy then we deserved. the bathroom has his and her sinks a vanity desk, a huge glassed in shower, a jetted tub a walk in closet and is just overall a Huge living room size area.
Every year we go, I swear that trip was the best ever and could never be topped and this year was no exception. I may need to do another trip soon as I look forward to seeing lion king . I found getting free buffets at the Wynn to be easy , we finished with 5 free buffets and preferred rates for next time.

I look forward to planning our next trip already
