    My Trip Report

At least it was relaxing!!! :bricks: The start was a flight from minneapolis that was full and I almost felt ill from being squeezed in all day on a plane. But at least I slept a bunch of the flight to help. I got my car and headed to a grocery store for my whiskey and diet coke supply for the room. Got checked in and unpacked and enjoyed a few drinks before heading to the casino. I got my $500 draw and played some DD BJ. It was not a pretty picture and quickly lost that and ordered another draw. It lasted longer but soon disappeared also. :frstr:

Enough of the Fitz for me so I headed up the street and stopped at the LVC and asked if my draw was still available there. Unfortunately for me it was gladly given. :bag: I got the first draw and it didn't last long. :faint: So I ordered another. I haven't played here in years but will admit they have put some decent BJ games back into the place. The pit critters were all over themselves being nice and handing me a casino host card and wanted to make sure I called next time i was in town. I think they are eager for some green action and above in this joint. Well the cards were up and down now but I still lost $300 of that draw.

Ouch I had just lost the most ever in one night in Vegas. Or for that matter in any one day in Vegas. But I had accomplished this task in 5 hours. :cuss: I wandered around abit and decided the best would be to grab a burger at the Fitz coffee shop and hit the bed and call it a bad day. Tomorrow is another day.

Woke to my coffee in my room. I just love the coffee makers in the fitz room. I am slow in my room when in Vegas and love to sip coffee and just take my time. I finally drug myself downstairs after switching over to whiskey in the room. Nothing better than some booze before noon. :drunk: I decide to try some BJ again and ordered another draw. It was not pretty either nut not as ugly as I lost $300 of that. Now this could get expensive and the fun was soon disappearing. It was getting almost comical as the cards rolled out. It was time to go pick up a friend at the airport. :bounce: Thankfully something cheap to do. I stopped and got a 6 pack for our trip. He was happy that I had thought of him and had a cold one ready for him.

He got checked into the fremont and we drank at the fitz bar and drank while playing some VP. I am a .25 player while he plays $1.00. I cashed out with a dollar profit. :cheer: Hey finally a win. We wandered around looking for cheap beer. Fitz beer was $3.50, Binion's was $3.25 and fremont was $3.50 and the 4 Queens was $3.25. We played some VP here and there but mainly just drank and people watched. We were disappointed in the price of beer downtown. I did cash out a $20 profit at 4 queens in VP. Otherwise it was a break even session each time. Dennis and I decided we would try some craps for a change. He had been playing his VP this whole time and it was not good to him at all either. I bought in for a $100 and soon it was gone. I sat out while Dennis bought in for another $100 and played a while. It seemed to warm up so like a dumbass :frstr: I bought in for another $100 , just in time for the dice to turn cold again.

Dennis and I split up as he was a guy who goes to bed early. I went back to the fitz and tried BJ again. Well at least I broke even. It was at least an improvement. I headed to Harrah's and met a group of people and watched the dueling piano's. My damn black russian cost $11 here and the beer special was 5 for $25, versus the usual $6/beer. How do people afford to get drunk on the strip? :cuss: Stayed there for quite some time and switched over to cheaper beer. I headed over to Oshea's and yes, I am embarrassed to admit I played a single deck 6/5 BJ. :bag: But all their games were 6/5. I lost another $100 there but at least the black russians were free. Next stop was Bill's and yes all they had were 6/5 BJ. I was down almost $200 before bringing it back to even. At least the drinks were free again. These were new places and will be intersting to see if they send offers after getting new cards. Although I wouldn't stay on the strip free if offered. I just can't afford to get drunk there. It was time to head home. On the walk back to the car I finally got a prostitute to talk to me. First time ever in Vegas for me. It was 6 in the morning and she still looked good. What wierd hours she works. I regret not talking to her and finding the going rate now but being a good boy I just said it was too late for company and we parted.

Got back to the Fitz and realized I had not eaten yet today so got a burger to go from the coffee house and ate it in my room as I unwound and licked my wounds from another unprofitable day. It was 7:30 when I hit the bed for some shuteye.

I eventually got out of the room after noon. The coffee maker made 3 cups before it broke. :frstr: damn the luck!!! So I decided to must be time to hit the whiskey. It must have been a sign I figured. I met up with Dennis and wed rank and played VP at the fitz for a while. He had a bad morning playing Vp and was going to concentrate on booze :drunk: more and less on VP. We walked over a saw the swanky Gold Spike. Beer was only $2.00 here :bounce: :bounce: finally a decent price. I got my first hand pay here in my Vegas life. It was for $5.05!!!! :cheer: :cheer: Oh BTW all payouts are handpayed as they do not kick any coins or papers out. Yes, that is right all pays are handpays. But it was a handpay never the less. I ended up loosing $10 at some penny machines. It was here that Dennis and I started fooling around on pennies to waste time and get free beer. Time for a El Cortex run. I played my $10 free play I had and then played some BJ. I did manage a $150 win here. :yea:

We decided to head to the Alliante casino on the north side of town for something different. Beer was $3.25 But we played some VP and got free drinks. I was really into the black russians this trip for some reason. I ened up loosing $40 here and there while visiting. It was not very crowded for a place open only a month. But it is a long way north with no town north and all of the town south. It is quite the view at night though seeing all the town in the valley below. We ate prime rib at the steak house for my first decent meal while in town. It hit the spot. Warning though. The prime rib was only $24 and you ordered sides extra. which I thought was fairly cheap. But the special they told about was a ribeye made some fancy way. They charged $46 for that. :cuss: Guess someone should have asked the price before ordering that. Oh well it was good and a nice change from my hamburgers. Time to head home. Dennis went to bed and I tried BJ again at the Fitz. :bitch Another $200 gone before bed. Time for bed.

Next day I rose feeling pretty good and went first to the coffee shop to see if eating earlier would help. I had a fish sandwich as I didn't want anything heavy as it would slow the drinking down. Met Dennis and started with tomatoe juice and Vodka and then on to v bloody mary's. It didn't take too many to get over to whiskey though. Dennis was ready for a change so we headed to the Luxor. I played some penny junk for free drinks and broke even. Dennis lost. Over to the Excalubur for some BJ. They had a good DD BJ game. I won $150 before some idiot cowboys ruined the game with their crazy play. But a win was a win. We tried the Mandalay Bay for while and some free drinks. The we found the car and wed rove to South Point. It was the busiest of all casinos the whole trip. It was time to head back downtown. We played some VP before Dennis bought me supper with his points at the fremont and their seafood buffet. The fried oysters were to die for. No more lobster claws but the crabs are split so that speeds things up. The shrimp scampi was very good. I think for a cheap seafood buffet this hits the spot for me. I also enjoyed the perch they had. Stuffed Dennis went to bed and I headed back over to the fitz for my last night. The BJ tables were full so I played some $3 craps with 3,4,5 odds. I played the $3 pass and come and then took max odds each time.I rolled first and proceeded to play the come line each roll. I covered every number before I ever doubled one up. Ouch!!!!! :help: I got paid a few times but soon I had another $100 out of my pocket. I played a long time and mixed up come bets with some place bets. After a good 2 hours I cashed out plus $150.  Off to bed for me on that note. I did some packing before sleep to speed things up.

In the morning I met Dennis for a breakfast at the fremont. We both were still getting rid of all the rich foods from the night before so we each just had a one plate buffet. Unusual for 2 big guys. But knew it was for the best. I headed back to the Fitz and had some time before I had to leave and sat at a BJ table one last time. In 30 minutes I cashed out with a $200 win. At least I left on a good note. Looking back if I would have just got drunk that first night it would have been a cheap trip. But that isn't what I did so I expect some bills to be coming my way in the next few weeks from y favorite bank , the casinos in Las Vegas. :faint: :faint:

Returned the car and settled in for a lot of sleep on the plane ride home. Even though it was one of my worst trips ever gambling wise, I will be back and do better. A person cannot have cheap trips every time. :anxious: It is still something that helps me in the transition from farming before tax season hits me. I need a break like this just to unwind and forget all my problems.

Hope you enjoyed this some. any questions?

Nice to get that last-day win. Maybe they do that on purpose? lol.

The gold spike hand-pay thing gets old in a hurry, I thought.

Sounds like our last trip, which was VERY "unprofitable" and kind of sucked the fun out of everything...but now we're finally Jonesing for a return. Sorry to hear this! You've convinced me to perhaps spend a trip entirely downtown on our next turn...we always split the trip but we like the vibe of downtown so much better...and the prices, on top of that.
