    My Trip Report

Flight was on Spirit ,cheap ( $150 rt) and booked solid.
Lou's limo was waiting with a nice Towne car to take us to Harrah's.
I had 3 nights comped and reserved a smoking room. Get to check in and there are no smoking rooms available. WTH? well, the nice girl quickly jumped on her computer and said I can upgrade you to the new waterfront tower...ok. The room was very nice , similar to Augustus tower rooms at Caesars LV. Grabbed a de-lish pastrami on rye and now it's time for my fix. There were smoking prohibited signs all over the casinos. You had to hunt for the very small sections of the casinos where smoking was permitted . AC is going smoke free come Oct 15th. Found my fav Wheel of Fortune slot ..3rd spin hit for 500 quarters...then 400...The slot Gods were shining on me the whole time there...Not jumbo hits, but I played with their money and came home with all of mine. In my book, that's a win. We saw the Piano Men at the tropicana, excellent show. Our daughter and SIL were coming down for a long weekend , so we hooked up at the airport and my house was party central .....I need a nap...

I am not a hard core smoker, but like to smoke when I play slots. Looks like I won't be going to AC anytime soon.

Sounds like a nice trip Sunni...we went Aug 2007 and had the same problem. It is a much easier trip for me, but had trouble getting a smoking room and last year had to SEARCH for a smoking slot area. I knew this year was going non smoking in Oct. That is why I did the second trip to Vegas...if not for the smoking issue I would be back in AC once or twice a year, I'm too addicted to nicotine. The new MGM at Foxwoods has 1 tiny smoking area of the casino and I believe all the rooms there are non smoking. Foxwoods still has plenty of smoking slots...but every year they take a little bit more away.

This is where I went into a big :grrr: rant about the way smokers are treated. But I decided to behave myself and delete it. :wink2:
