    My Trip Report

We(hubby Alan and I) went to LV 10/30 to 11/6. Annual trip involving the Pro Bullriding Finals and LV fun.
This trip was a little different though. I really couldn't put my finger on it until 1/2 way thru the trip. I pretty much had a loss the whole way thru. Couldn't pull a win for love nor money...hee hee money...get it? BUT, we had a great time and in the end that's all that counts. So here goes...

    10/30/07 Tuesday
Left Pittsburgh at 9am on Southwest. DVD player, 2movies, 1 sandwich and a few drinks later we are landing 20mins early. Gotta luv SW. By the time we hike from C gates to baggage claim our bags are there. Off to rent a car. Dollar express member...silver charger for the week and off we go...to WalMart for supplies. Then its off to MSS for 2 free nights. By now I am hurting and want to lay down. (Was in hospital for a few days 2 weeks prior to trip) Forgot which side to ask for and high floor. Ended up in room 722 facing freeway. Honestly, couldn't hear any noise from freeway but then we had A/C on. Nap time on!!
After 2hrs got up and went off to the Rio! Had supper there at the World buffet...241 coupon! Lodry was everything tasty!!! Note to self...eat dessert first! Played at the Rio for awhile to keep card active. Walked away with a large amount of....BEADS! yep, that's it. My niece will be very happy. back to MSS where the debacle continued. you know... you get dealt 20 and the dealer puls a 6 card 21. that's pretty much the tone of the trip...too bad I didn't pick up on it early. Alan holding his own at pai gow and i played here and there. Call it a night girl!! and I did.

    10/31/2007 Wed
Up early and we played at the Cal and MSS after breakfast...241 coupon again. Was decent grub for the price. Happy Halloween! I got tricks no treats. We went to Mbay that evening to participate in a charity BJ tournament for the PBR. I met alot of the PBR cowboys, hugged them and got pictures. Busted out in the first round so we played a bit and left. Did win $100 on a penny Monopoly machine and Alan did well on a BJ machine. So there Mbay!!!

    11/01/2007 Thursday
Up and out the door. Red Rock here we come. Lunch buffy with 241 and then some play. Highlight of the day?..Joey Porter playing craps...if you want to think its big. That evening we went to round 4 of the PBR finals and then to Sunset Station. A big hi to Mikey and play at his table. One of the big highlights of the trip. Always good to see him. not feeling too well and back to LV Club. Yeah we changed hotels today and we were happy with our room. #1430...MVP room. Home for the next 4 nights.

    11/02/2007 Friday
Stayed around the DT area playing at the Plaza and Vegas club among other casinos. Ate at golden Gate several times over the week for the shrimp cocktails. Yum!! More of the PBR finals tonight. Again, losing my a$$ everywhere. 2nd highlight of the trip...meeting Sallymander and spouse Allan. Hooked up at the Boar's Head bar in MSS...walking up to complete strangers and asking"Are you Sallymander" and getting "YES I am!" Had a great time talking with them and playing some VP. Ran into them a few other times over the next couple of days and we kept up with each others doings.

    11/03/2007 Saturday
Somewhere along this time line we went to Harrah's and ate...241 coupon but quite honestly I don't remember which day...Malibu pineapples to blame. But basically I lost, Alan won, and we saw the PBR round 6. Gambled at the Cal and El Cortez. Saw some transvestites... dressed better than me. And while I am on this subject...DOES NO one look into a mirror before they walk out the door???? I mean, if you are a size 20 don't stuff yourself into a 12...just a scary sight to behold. And on the other hand, if you are a 4,good for you but I really don't want your nips or other parts staring at me OK? Rant done.

    11/04/2007 Sunday
Had to get moving this am. the final round and championship round all begins at 1130am. Lord that's way to early for me to think about. But we get there, my cowboy doesn't win the world title..grrrrrr.. and the 1 cowboy who i don't like does. RATS!!! anyway, we are heading back DT and I say...let's go to the WYNN. Alan looks at me like I am crazy but we go. This is my ONLY winning session the entire trip. on a $15/hand table. AM I NUTS!!! HELL YEAH!!!! But I stick it to the Wynn...hahahahahaha Hope they can stay open. Back DT we enter several sit and go poker tourneys at the Plaza, Alan splits one and guess what I do.....lose. but we had fun. Sallymander and spouse find us ther and we all update.

    11/05/2007 Monday
Check out and move to the Silverton...free night. Stop at the Orleans along the way with a ..you guessed it...241 coupon. Played awhile...lost and left. room 4095 at the Silverton... bed wayyyyy to comfortable and the room was set up really nice. will stay here again. Went to South Point...really liked this place, bright, cheery, clean. Dealers very friendly too. Won a bet I had on the Steelers and Penguins. about time I win something. the deli next to the sports book has the best chicken soup I ever tasted. Yummy baked goods too. Back to the Silverton and played for a long time on a single deck $10/hand table. Did ok. Slept great!!! on that bed.

    11/06/2007 Tuesday
Late checkout asked for and granted. Had lunch buffet with 241 coupon and played there until time to go to the airport. Returned car, checked in and had a snack. Fight home had 50 folks on board so we streched out and had a good flight. What did we ever do before Southwest Airlines here in PA!?

    final thoughts:
Still brought $$$$ home which paid for incidentals and things on the credit card.
    I just love LV!!!!
Always like to say hi to Mikey. Sorry we didn't get back out there again.
Silverton is a great place to stay and play. Have a car and its not an issue of location.
South Point is another great place to go to.
Cocktails were never a wait on our part. And I drank my fair share.
    I just love LV!!!!
    Southwest is fabulous.
Meeting Sallymander was great. Love to meet folks from here.

hope you have enjoyed this report.

Enjoyed your tr; and, as you say, even though you lost money you had a great time and that is what counts. Isn't that why we all go to Vegas is to have a great time; and if you happen to leave Vegas a winner that just makes it better.

Sorry if this is common knowledge (and it probably is around these parts, lol), but what's a 241?

why, we flew on USless Airways of course and paid among the highest airfares in the country.

Nice TR, but we're not fond of Cowboys in this corner of PA!!
