    My Trip Report

    Destination: Las Vegas
Start date of trip: May 23 to May 31, 2006
Traveling companions: My cousin Darlene, aka BugNurse
Title “BLONDE DOES VEGAS†or “MUDSLIDES AHOY!!!!!â€

    Tuesday, May 23
This trip was an effort to show my favorite cousin why I love Vegas. Darlene has a job with huge amounts of responsibility and rarely takes a vacation, I have some money burning a hole in my pocket, and let’s face it, we aren’t getting any younger, so it is off to Vegas we go! Before some catastrophic thing befalls us, be it disease, terrorists, global warming or that pandemic that I know is coming……I WANT US TO HAVE SOME FUN TOGETHER!!! So she came down to meet me and we flew out of Detroit on AW (which is now U.S. Airways) on Tuesday night. Dar’s first glimpse of Vegas was flying over that gorgeous lit-up strip. I begged our cab driver to drive us to TI down LV BLVD and after some coaxing he did. I am sure Dar enjoyed the ride but with me keeping up a non-stop commentary of everything we were passing, and constantly repeating “Isn’t it gorgeous???!!!“ about all she could do was nod her head.

We checked into TI with not another soul at the desk. We received the high-up, pool-facing, south strip view room that I had wanted. We made it to the room around 1 AM Vegas time which was 4 AM our time. Even though I was frantic with excitement and just wanted to take off running down the strip, I forced my self to go to bed. I knew I had a full day planned for Weds and we would need our rest in order to enjoy it.

    Weds, May 24
We took our time getting up and getting ready. I had packed my mini-coffee pot, coffee, tea, sweetners, Coffeemate, trail mix, almonds, raisons, All Bran bars and even a few contraband pieces of fruit for our petit breakfasts. I explained my thinking to Dar. I wanted to take her someplace special to eat each day and didn’t want to wreck our appetites by having a real breakfast, so by just having a snack in our room it would hold us for a few hours till we got to where I was planning to eat lunch.
The first stop of our day was Mirage’s Secret Garden. It was close by and she is an animal nut like I am so I knew she would enjoy it. Still overpriced at 15 a head but oh well.
Next we cabbed it over to Aladdin because I was dying to try this Commander’s Palace Lunch special that I heard so much about. OMG!! What a fabulous start to the trip. We were ushered into that beautiful room that they show on the website with that pouffy curtain thing on the ceiling. We had a man seating us, a man in charge of our martini selections, a man in charge of our food who also had a male assistant, AND the chef came out and asked our opinion while we ate. Hey! I haven’t had that much male attention in 20 years! But seriously, these men are such professionals and so skilled at making you feel special and well taken care of. (and by the third martini…I felt VERY well taken care of!) We started with the Commander’s special martini which was blue and just OK in my book. (These are my first martinis I might add and boy ! Are they potent!) Then I tried a Comso and Dar had an Apple martini. The Cosmo tasted like sewer water to me so when our drink waiter saw my face he seemed more than happy to replace it with a Chocolate martini. OK! NOW WE ARE TALKING! YUM……..Dar finished her Apple and moved on to Chocolate too. Love those quarter martinis! We both ate the $18.80 three course special. We had a cold soup, which was excellent and a beef tip sandwich. They gave you lots of beef and it was very tender too. We finished off with some kind of Chocolate bread pudding thing that was yummy. We must have been there for 2 hours and the bill came to just $43.00 !!! We just couldn’t get over the price! What a steal! I will definitely come here again….

Next I had “the play $20 get $20 Freeplay†coupon to use at Aladdin. I put that into a Five Times Pay machine and turned it into over $200.00 in a couple spins. I (actually) cashed it out and grabbed my cousin and said “I know exactly what we can do with this money!’. I have a favorite jewellery store in the Desert Passage shops called Shemoni that sells beautiful sterling silver pieces that are reasonable in price. I have bought something there every time I go to Vegas. So we walked over there, grabbed our bowls to put our pieces in, and went to town. I bought a necklace, earring and ring set in lime green stones and marcasite (Which I love) ( I was wearing it at the Tues May 30 meet…in case you noticed) I bought my cousin the same kind of set in a clear stone, and a few other pieces as well. She was very happy with our choices. I said…“Don’t thank me…thank Aladdin!â€

Next we had tickets (from Goldstar) to the Fab Four show. As I had read on LVTalk, they put on a great show that we enjoyed very much. Love live music!
The show got out around 7:30 and I had planned to take her up the Eiffel Tower after dark so we had a few hours to kill. I remembered someone else’s Trip Report talking about what a nice place Napoleon’s at the Paris was, so we wandered till we found it. I am so glad we did. I was going to give up and go to one of the noisy bars mid-casino, but I was so happy to find this quiet, dark oasis of serenity. A beautiful setting, a man playing piano, yummy ( 8.00) mudslides, made for a very pleasant few hours. We got into one of those heart to heart conversations that only people who love you and know you well can get into with you.

Eventually we pried our bums out of the chairs and I used my 2 for 1 coupon for the Eiffel Tower. Dar admired the view, then we came down and crossed the street to wait for a fountain show. My cousin is a HUGE Elvis fan so I was hoping for Viva Las Vegas…but it turned out to be Andrea Boccelli…who would have been my second choice anyhow. Like so many of us she was enamored of the fountains and wanted to keep returning to them through the week.

I think at this point we just walked back to TI and she went to bed and I went to gamble. No luck to speak of…on to Day Three.

    May 25, Thursday

I had booked a Showtime Tour of Red Rock Canyon and Vegas City Tour. We had to be downstairs at 9:40 am. Our driver’s name was Larry and he was very personable and made the trip lots of fun. We sat in the very first seat so that we could see well and also so I wouldn’t hurl. (I tend to do that quite frequently..) He drove us around Vegas first pointing out all the hotels etc. We stopped at Ethel M’s and got lots of samples and I purchased two huge chocolate caramel granny smith apples. OMG they were so good! Wish I had one now. They ended up being our dinner that night. We stopped at Elvis-a-rama and had a mini-show and Dar bought a keychain. Did I mention she ADORES Elvis?

As part of the tour we had the Fremont buffet downtown for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised at the décor and the food. I was expecting divey but it was really very pretty with good food. I will be back again as it is cheap! As the tour continued we noticed this annoying group of people who came back late EVERY TIME Larry set up a time for us to come back to the bus. Jeez…I wanted to throttle those people…I know he did too. They had WATCHES!! GRRR..some people are soo inconsiderate. Next we drove out to Red Rock Canyon which is a picturesque spot. I have always wanted to see the Grand Canyon and so , it turned out , did my cousin. But the logistics of trying to see that just made it too hard. Besides, I don’t want to waste a single Vegas minute….not even for that.

I was hoping to get back to TI in time for a swim but with the group of terminally late people we didn’t get back from the bus tour till after 6 pm. Since we had tickets for Mystere at 7:30 and they want you there by 7, we had just enough time to freshen up and run downstairs. I must say I enjoyed the guy before the show better than the show. Yes it is beautiful and strange and all. And now I can say I have seen a Cirque. But I am the kind of person who gets really pissed off when I can’t understand what is happening. (which is frequently) What the heck was that?? Some ringmaster babbling in God-knows-what language, a baby staggering around doing dumb things and then the whole thing finishes up with a giant blow-up snail! And the significance of the snail is what????? OMG….too annoying. Never again.

The night ends with Dar going back to the room and me gambling. I had some luck this night. Turned my $50 free play into about $500...which I promptly spent again…..oh well.

    Friday, May 26

Dar had been looking out the windows of TI at Venetian and expressed a desire for a Gondola ride so that is first on our agenda today. I know it is over-priced but it is as close to Venice as we will ever get so we enjoyed the little boat ride. Turns out I love waving at people. More about this later. We saw a bride and groom actually getting married in their fancy white boat. So romantic….sigh…. We went walking around Venetian for a while then moseyed over to Casino Royale for some $1 Strawberry Margarita’s to fortify us for the shuttle ride to the Rio. The wait was long, hot , full of exhaust fumes and some old man cut in line in front of us and stepped on Darlene’s foot in the process. (Note to self…free shuttles are a pain…going back to the psychotic cab drivers)

We arrived safely at the Rio and marveled at the size of the Buffet. Used my 2 for 1 coupon so it was about 8 dollars each. After eating we went out to the casino. I had been telling her for months that I had always wanted to be IN the Show in the Sky and she had promised to do it with me. She looked a little worried about what this would entail to I let her see a Show in the Sky before we were actually in one. We watched the 5:30 show and when that didn’t seem too intimidating, she let me book tickets for the 6:30 show. I must interject a comment here about this trip. I think the Las Vegas Gods were smiling on us the whole time. Everything I attempted to do was successful. I wound up getting the best seats, the best view…the best everything. I was just thrilled that it was all turning out so well for us!! This was just another example.

My favorite float is the riverboat. When they print your ticket, it specifies which float you will be on. You can’t choose. So what float pops up? The Riverboat, of course. So they took a large group of us backstage and made us dress in velvet capes and tons of beads. They take your picture with the dancers. We had the most adorable young man as our host on the riverboat and Dar was completely charmed by him. What a cutie! He made our time so much fun. So we sat down at the front of the boat and started banging tambourines to the music. OMG..I loved this. I now want my OWN TAMBOURINE. The Rio was packed and there were huge crowds of people below us. Everyone I would smile and wave at …would smile and wave back at me!!! Who knew waving could be so much fun??!! I felt just like the Queen!! LOL! What a hoot! Whoever comes with me to Vegas next is doing this again! I guarantee it!

Next I had planned to do another long-awaited desire. Have a Witch Doctor at VooDoo. We went up to the 51st floor and man, what a view! It was very windy…but if you sit on the comfy couches and lean your head right back against the wall….it wasn’t too bad. There didn’t seem to be any drink service outside so I went inside and ordered a Witch Doctor from the bar. The bartender did the whole flair thing. $24.00 plus a tip. I was afraid to try and carry it outside, it was so heavy. My cousin ( who is a nurse) wanted to know exactly what was in it that was making it bubble like that. “I dunno…†I said, “Just drink it!†So we did. It wasn’t too bad…kind of melon tasting. I would not order one again…just wanted the experience once. We watched the sun set and the lights of the casinos come on one by one. This is a a spectacular sight not to be missed.

We hopped in a cab and went to Bellagio in the hopes of catching Viva Las Vegas on the fountains. It seemed to be “Luck, be a Lady “ night and they played it twice…darn them. I am not a big Frank fan. Viva is my favorite, and I will not rest until we succeed in seeing that fountain show. Since we were already there, I decided to try getting into Fontana but it was packed, so we had a Mudslide at the bar just outside. Then we wandered down the strip. We sat at the bar at Casino Royale and people watched. The evening ended in the usual way. (Me gambling. Her sleeping)

    Saturday May 27th
At this point in the story I must add that I was thinking to myself, “Well, we are having a marvelous time, but this is going to make for a VERY boring trip report. So far not one Hipple-like adventure had befallen us. Not that we are the kind of girls who would purposely seek out that kind of adventure, mind you, but I was concerned.†However, this was the day I had picked to go DOWNTOWN…and we all know what THAT means.

We started the day by having TI buffet which was very good, but very noisy and busy. It was free…so we can suffer with some noise. Then we walked over to Harrah’s to catch the 1 pm Mac King show. I had tried to see him and only caught a replacement before. He is a very talented man, I must say. We enjoyed our Mudslides and the show. We walked thru Wynn, just so I could have a look around. Signed up for the Red card and found out that the free buffets are now 250 points!

Then we hopped in a cab to go Downtown. Our cab drivers had been pretty tame so far but this one was exciting to say the least. We came within about an inch of rear-ending a truck! Good times…!

We went directly to the Fitz to get Free POV show tickets to see Steve Connoly’s Elvis show at 7pm. To kill time before the show we went souvenir shopping. I told my cousin how exciting downtown was on a Saturday night. The Lights! The Street Bands! Turns out there were neither. This was a bizarrely windy, cool day and I don’t know if that affects things or not. At 7 we returned to the Fitz for the show. Really people…I know it is downtown and I know the Fitz is dowdy…but go see this show. The man is fabulous, his band is fabulous, his back-up girl singer is fabulous! GO! It is all live music too. We had $4.00 Mudslides and a wonderful time! He should be in a better venue. We talked to him after the show and told him so.
I went to the bar on the second floor outside the showroom to replenish our Mudslide supply. Inside the showroom the drinks were large and only $4. Outside the showroom they were $6.00 and tiny. Stupid eh? Shouldn’t it be the other way around?

Next we went out in the street to catch the light show. They started up “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun†and nothing happened. The lights were malfunctioning. So I figured that we had to wait for the next show to see if they could get it fixed. I walked up to one of the street bars and ordered two of those giant bong-like contraptions filled with (you guessed it) Mudslides. Good lord…I watched that guy pour alcohol for what seemed like 15 minutes. Those things were wicked. After those I have to say we were feeling no pain.

I had been wandering from machine to machine trying to catch some luck. Dar, who doesn’t gamble much had put twenty dollars in a nickel machine next to a red Corvette (?) in Fitz’s doorway. I came and sat next to her even though I find nickels boring . At some point I had excused myself to go to the washroom and when I returned….I had been replaced!!! LO and behold she had the most gorgeous young man sitting next to her and leaning in close. (Hello…..I think to myself Where did you come from?) He turned out to be a 27 yr old named Jordan, and he was in my seat with my money…so he moved over and I sat down and continued playing. We exchanged a few pleasantries, but he was looking longingly over at my cousin so finally I said. “Would you like to sit next to my cousin so that you can continue your conversation with her??†and he said yes so I moved. All the while I am marveling at how handsome he is. He could have easily been a model. He had a kind of scruffy, unshaven look….but many men are going for that look anyhow nowadays. Every now and then Jordan would disappear and reappear with a cigarette. “Where are you getting those from?†I asked. “Oh, I just go ask people for them..†HHmmm……..OK…we have a gorgeous panhandler here. He seemed harmless enough and was talking to Dar about his home and all…but I was a little uncomfortable. If it had been a man our own age chatting with us I could understand…but what does a child like this want with Dar?

Somehow, Dar and I communicated with each other that we were going to switch casinos. I was thinking we would lose him in this process. I was standing outside the Fitz when they came walking out arm and arm. I wish there had been a camera on my face at that moment. Dar mouthed the words to me over his shoulder as they walked past. “I can’t get rid of him…†We walked over to Mermaids and since our last meal had been about 12 hours ago (Unless you count the cream in Mudslides) I decided some food would be in order. I walked to the back alone where a young man proceeded to pull up his shirt and show me his nipples. “Does that excite you?†he asked. “Uh…sorry…no.†As he tried to talk to me further I explained “Look...buddy...I could be your mother..†He said “You are 35 …TOPS!†“Oh God Love You! You are only off by a couple decades….but thanks!â€

I proceeded to order hotdogs and DEEP FRIED TWINKIES!!!! I don’t care what you say about those things…I LOVED them. Maybe it was the alcohol…but I thought they were great! Another first for me and another thing I will do again for sure! Dar fed most of her food to our pet cutie-pie. At some point Jordan went to cash in some nickels. I asked where he was and she said he had gone to cash in and asked "Why? Do you want to make a run for it?†“YES!!!!! “ I hollered, and made an attempt at running across Fremont Street. If you saw two crazy drunken women…..a blonde dragging a brunette down the street…Well.. that was us. Anyhow…we ducked into the Nugget because I know where the cab stand is in there and ran out to a cab and booted it back to TI. I am sure that guy was harmless...but still…I felt more comfortable getting away from him. He was probably just a poor kid down on his luck.

We were still all liquored up and excited by our downtown experiences…so we freshened up in the room and hit the strip again. We walked down to Harrah’s to listen to the dueling pianos. What a zoo that place is. It was fun but ..…you feel extremely old in short order. The median age must be 25. After an hour or so Dar returned to TI and I gambled at Harrah’s for a while.

    Sunday May 28 Moving Day
Sunday we moved from TI to MGM. That went smoothly and we were done by noon. Since both of our sons had put in requests for Hooter’s T-shirts we decided screw up our courage and run across the road to Hooter’s. We bought the T shirt s and calendars as quickly as possible. The salesgirl pointed out that the girl on the back worked there and that if we wanted we could get her autograph. Yeah right…..we are going to wander around Hooter’s trying to recognize a specific girl to get an autograph….uh…no thanks…
We grabbed a cab to go over to the Hilton. Another interesting cab driver. He had this theory. If he drove around all day with an In and Out burger in his hand, he would hit nothing but green lights, because he would never get a chance to eat his burger. Yes…sounds like a plausible theory to me…………
We had the 2 for 1 Hilton buffet which was excellent. We were freezing! But they had good food! I bought ticket to the 2 PM Menopause, The Musical!!!! OMG!!!!! Girls….you have to see this. What a hoot! I loved EVERY minute.
We were soooo tired by this time that we could barely keep our eyes open. So we cabbed back to MGM where Dar took a nap in the room and I rested by the pool. I had hoped to go to Lucky Cheng’s that night to have Drag queens serve us Chinese food, but this is the one place where I slipped up in my trip planning. I didn’t write down their phone number or address, because I assumed I could look it up in Vegas. BUT IT WAS NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. And no one I talked to had heard of it. So on to Plan B.
I had $111 comp dollars at the ONE CLUB properties that I wanted to use. So we dressed up and went over Luxor and I asked if we could use them all in their Steakhouse. And we did. What a wonderful meal. Great ambience, great service, great food and the best bottle of Riesling that I have ever had. After my comp the bill only came to 9.00!!!!!And I tipped our charming waiter $40. What a great evening that was. I bought Krispy Kremes for dessert on our walk home. I gambled…Dar went to bed. The Blazing Sevens that had been so good to me last summer weren’t quite as kind as before, but they did pay out somewhat. (Most nights I am getting to bed between 3 and 4...so I am running on very little sleep ….)

    Monday May 29

I was hoping to use the Gold Coast 2 for 1 Buffet coupon today but I forgot that it was a holiday so we weren’t allowed to use it....but even without it was a good value. We stopped at the bar at the Gold Coast to kill some time and started playing VP and poured a couple more free Mudslides down our faces. I liked the Gold coast, I would go there again. Very laid back atmosphere. Then we walked next door to the Rio to catch Ron Lucas’s 3 pm show. More Mudslides …more good entertainment.
We keep meeting the nicest people everywhere we go.
We cabbed right to Mandalay Bay to pick up our Mamma Mia Tickets. Goldstar again. Wow….am I ever happy with that company. Our tickets were $66 a piece and we were 5 rows from the front and dead center. We couldn’t have got any better tickets. I was raving about our seats and the guy in front of me wanted to know how I had got them for 66 when he had paid 110.!!!! Oh the joys of LVTalk! I explained all about Goldstar to him. He said “I live here and I never knew that! LOL!!!â€
Of course we loved Mamma Mia. How could you not??? It is so upbeat and fun! We were hungry after the show and stopped for a snack at the Pyramid Café in Luxor. Dar went back to the room and I gambled.

Tuesday May 30 Our last complete day and the BIG MEET!!!

I was annoyed that I hadn’t gotten around to using the Palms 50% off coupon so we went over to their gift shop to use it. I must say I think their casino is really UGLY. No desire to return there again. I bought a shirt for my son and Dar got one for her daughter so we got $80 worth of stuff for $40 …but I spent about $25 in cab fare, so I lost some of the savings there. I knew my children would be very annoyed with me if I didn’t take Dar to Caesar’s and the Cheesecake Factory so we ate there and wandered the forum shops. We walked down to Bellagio to make one last attempt to catch Viva Las Vegas. Sure enough…another Kodak moment…...I wish a camera had been trained on our faces as we jumped for joy when it started!!! Dar loved it!!
Walked back up the strip and returned to our room at MGM to get rid of our shopping bags and freshen up. Walked over to the Monte Carlo for the meet.
How to describe this? I am wondering to myself…will I recognize any faces? Will anyone know me from that tiny avatar? The first person I recognized was Ed in OK. I said…â€I recognize you from the pictures!†I doubt if he had any clue who I was but then I looked across the room and saw Carol and LV Norm!!! Wow…..I was so excited….I could tell that she recognized me instantly ! (even though we have never met) She gave me a big hug and Norm looked happy to see me too! I swear….it felt just like coming home! I walked up to the bar to get a drink for Dar and I and someone tapped me on the shoulder. Again…I have never met him…but I recognized him right away! “Historian??!!! You never said you were coming to this??!†Apparently he likes to keep a low profile and not commit! I flitted around trying to talk to as many as I could…..can’t remember all of your names….but I loved talking to you all. SplittinSevens…my fellow Canuck was so nice. Could Pipette BE any more adorable? It was an honour to see the Great Mr Peanut and wife and Level 1 and wife. (You guys have gorgeous wives!) And Luvmylildoxie and I were comparing fans……And Dirty Dog and wife…how much fun are you guys? We could have talked to you all day! And Texas Lynnie and Wordlady and Alora and Vegas Baby and Char and Oh just all of you! And Mercin…I was so happy you showed up! Truly this was one of the highlights of my trip. Even my cousin was saying you seem to be a great group of people.
I was trying to get around and say goodbye to everyone but before I did some were gone so apologize for not getting to say goodbye.

I had one last thing on my To Do list and that was to go back downtown so that my cousin see the light show that wasn’t working on Saturday. We were hungry so I had it in mind to hit Center Stage at the Plaza and use my one free Entrée coupon. We had the cab ride from hell from Monte Carlo to the Plaza. My cousin was hysterical laughing at me because I tend to be nervous driving on highways to begin with and this guy was doing about 120 and changed lanes around 15 times. When we got to the Plaza Dar had to dig my nails out of her arm in order to get me inside. Never a dull moment in those cabs I tell ya. We got to the Plaza around 9 and there was one booth left that looked out onto the street. It was high up and had a PERFECT VIEW!!!! (Again the Gods were smiling) So we had a lovely bottle of wine and filet mignon with creamed spinach. It was delicious and the bill was 90 something and got knocked back to $74 with the coupon. It was well worth it. Then we walked out into the street and watched a show from there.

Next we bellied up to the bar at the Golden Nugget and had a couple of final Mudslides and chatted with bartender Ron. One last Fremont Show and we cabbed back to MGM for my last attempt at gambling. Walked to NYNY just for and change of scene but had no luck over there either.

    Wednesday May 31

Flying home…boo hoo…. My cousin asked how long I would actually have to stay here before I would be ready to go home. Can’t answer that one. A long, long time I think. Checked out with no problems. Took our last cab to the airport. I thanked our driver for being sane and gave him a good tip. We flew home by way of Tulsa and St. Louis. What should have been a 4 hr flight was 6 hrs but hey…it was a good price. When we got to the airport my whole family was waiting for us.

My cousin remarked at the end at this trip that in her daily home and work life she always has to be the one making all the decisions. She found it to be a relief and relaxing to let me take charge and she just sat back and went with the flow. For me it is just the opposite. I always have to run everything I do past someone for approval, so to be calling all the shots was great entertainment for me. So, happily, this trip turned out to be just what we both needed. I hope we get to do it again sometime.

    ……………………………….........................THE END……………………………….....................................

    Thanks

Great report!! Sounds like you guys had a blast. I really enjoyed reading about your trip.

Could you tell me more about the Secret Garden at the Mirage. I am staying at the Mirage in July and was thinking of going to this Secret Garden but was not sure what to really expect and whether it was worth it.

    Thanks
    Nicole

I'm a moderator here. One of my responsibilities is helping people. One thing I especially like to help people do is use the search function. What if Blonde didn't come back and answer your question and no one else did either? Lots of people don't read the trip report forum. You would be stuck not knowing what Goldstar is. But now that you know that a) there's a "search" feature on this board, and b) where to find it, you can search for "goldstar" and you would find the information I posted about it recently.I don't think that's being rude. I think it's being helpful. Your mileage may vary.

The search feature is a very powerful tool for finding information on this website. Many times I forget to use it though.

Not gonna take sides here, but I'm a huge offender of not searching. If I have a question, I ask. If it gets answered, great. If not, then I go and search for it.

But, I like to have people answer my questions for the most part. Along with the info, a lot of the time there will be an experience attached as well. That's what I like the most. Feels more personal, like this board has been in the past!

I really think Hoya was just being helpful.... that's the problem w/ msg boards, e-mail, IM, etc... you can nver tell when someone is kidding or smiling or just being helpful. There is really a great bunch of people here and one of the best sites on the web!! ....well except for maybe that one that has the nekid ladies on it:) Dino

I tend to agree with Jer, I usally ask and also search. Maybe the search results come up with posts that are months old or we have new members since those old posts who could shed some new light on the questions being asked. So i like to ask and have maybe a more personal answer, with this being a messageboard not just an encyclopedia of answers, the personal touches and answers make it a great site.

I do like that search function though cause it may give me a quick answer or references to what I am curious about and then hope for some new information to posted.
Maybe having a prewritten reply about search ready to copy and paste each time cause there is times the search teaching does come across as belittling and rude and other times seems like a helpful answer from a moderator.

Vegasbride...Goldstar events is a great company. I have used them two trips now and never had any problems. You can use them with confidence. They mostly have smaller, second rate shows, but they always have Mamma Mia. (For some strange reason) Besides...even the smaller shows are fun. Not everything has to cost an arm and a leg, eh?

Beasley....Don't expect the Secret Garden to be like a zoo. It is very small and only takes a few minutes to go thru, but I consider it worth the 15 dollars a head because I have never seen white lions and white tigers and they are VERY beautiful. And dolphins are always entertaining to watch.

It's called a FAQ. Most websites have them, including this one, but very few people seem to use them. https://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/faq.php

That's why I quite often write a sentence about using the Search feature. I use different computers all day long, so a pre-canned response won't work for me.

Notice I did actually DO the search for you, vegasbride--I posted the link with the info on Goldstar in my response post. See--trying to be helpful:thumbsup:

I am not sure...Babygirl. There were a lot of quite young looking people doing it with us so I THINK so. You would have to ask to make sure. They won't let you drink or gamble till 21...but I think you can do this.

"My name is Blonde.... and I am a Vegas-a-holic"....:poke:

It starts off innocent enough...then you think, "just one more trip, I can quit anytime I want"... :drooling:
