Where is the best place to find low ($10-$15) Pai Gow Poker on the Strip? I play mostly blackjack but am taking a family trip and thought that would be a good table game to teach my daughters to play as it moves slow and generally your money lasts a long time. Looking for somewhere with enough tables to make it fairly likely that we will be able to get 3-4 of us on a table together.

Same question about Rio / Gold Coast as we may spend some time in that area. Do they both have Pai Gow poker available at multiple tables?

Pretty much anywhere (aside from your Bellagio/Aria/Wynn/Venetian level casinos) will have it at $15. $10 during the day is common at most places. Some casinos have more PGP tables than others...

Harrahs usually has several tables open at $10 and $15. Same with Flamingo, although I feel like it's harder to find $10 tables at Flamingo.
Mirage has 4 tables. Usually $10 and $15 during the day, and $15/$25 at night.
NYNY has two tables. One is always $10. The other is usually $10 too, but sometimes when it's really busy they make it $25. NYNY's tables are usually really busy though.

Stay away from Rio for PG, the last time I was there the MINIMUM was $25!!

Gold Coast has a number of PG tables and during the day most are at $10. Good place to learn and play and given the number of Asian tourists there, the PG is going around the clock.

It's off-Strip, but the Orleans also has PG for $10. Interestingly, MSS recently raised their PG from $10 to $15, while Suncoast still has it at $5!

pai gow poker is only worth playing for the potential jackpot
so it's a good idea to only play at a full table
and if you can fill up the table with your own family and friends, that's even better

But, unless the jackpot is over $125k, the math is against playing the jackpot. See the numbers run at wizardofodds.com.

PG is also a "drinking" game since you will push over 40% of the time.

if we cared about the odds 100%, then none of us would be gambling, right?

but yes, i make sure to look for a high jackpot + a full table
the most i've hit is a 4 of a kind ... my $5 bet paid like $800 or so?? that was like 10 years ago

lately i haven't been playing pai gow poker
since i'm looking for more immediate satisfaction ... sticking to blackjack, baccarat, craps, and roulette

You should be able to find $10-$15 almost everywhere. We've been playing $15 at the Cromwell over the past few trips. Last April they had two $25 tables with no one playing (late evening), we asked them to lower to $15 and they did. But NYNY, Flamingo, PH all definitely have $10 or $15 (at least they did a few months ago) as we played at all 3 in April and July.

I enjoy playing at the Cromwell also - they have the good drink service. None of those little wimpy glasses you'll get at most CET casinos.

The only problem I've run into is the PGP tables are kind of hidden and usually empty. I don't like playing alone very much.

Pai Gow is my favorite game by far. 3 years ago, I started building this database of tables and conditions. This might be helpful even though dated somewhat.

My favorite place to play is the Margaritaville Casino in Flamingo, used to be $10 during day and $15 during night. Usually really fast cocktail service.

i believe four of a kind pays 25-1 so a $5 bet only pays $125.

overall, pai gow bonuses stink. 1-1 for straight, 3-1 for trips, 4-1 for flush, 5-1 for full house, 25-1 for quads

some of the carnival games like crazy 4 poker or mississippi stud have much better bonuses for big hands but are games that can eat your bankroll in a heartbeat, unike pai gow which you are pushing most of the time.

The feeling is one of the most exciting when you see in your hand a high pair and a Joker and you still have 4 more cards to view.

That either had to be a game other than pai gow or some variation of the game. Four of a kind in pai gow poker pays 25-1 and also pays a $6 envy bonus
