This is nothing about nothing. But we just moved and had to pack everything and now still unpacking the boxes. So I just came across this 3 way plug adapter that still had the Builders Square tag on it.

Then I had to Google when they went out of business (1999), but I never knew they were owned by Kmart.

There is my useless information post for today. But since we leave for Vegas tomorrow, there won't be another useless post until at least Wednesday. No live TR from me.

Yes, it is useless. But I must give you credit for putting that in the title!

Truth in advertising is important to us in Wisconsin.

Another example of this is the "NERD XING" sign in my driveway.

I remember builders square, and budget power, and knox lumber. Menards, fleet farm, and later home depot put them out of business

How about Hechinger's? Or for those in the Philly/Jersey area, Rickle's.

Talk about names out of the past. I bought stuff from all three of the chains mentioned. In fact my two garage door openers were purchased at Builders Square when they had a buy one get one sale I think in 1995. And they are still working!

I have a 1 1/2 horse Flotec water pump for sale that I got when Builder's Square went out of business. Still works great. 220, though. Won't fit your adapter.

    Have a great trip, Joe.

I never knew they made 220v sumps. We have lived in 11 different houses all with 110v pumps. Except Vegas, no pump there.

This is not a sump pump. It moves lake water about 15 feet uphill and 150 feet horizontally to my front lawn. We're selling the house, and I didn't figure the buyer would want to mess with my homemade rig. Funny that you mentioned the year Builder's Square went out of business. It was easy for me to remember because it was the year after we moved here.

We needed to upgrade the electricity out back for a big waterfall we used to have, so it was easy to have the guys put 220 in at the same time. I was also thinking I might convert my gazebo/pump house into a hot tub room. Maybe the next guy will do that.

Oh, the Flotec threw me. We have had several houses with Flotec sump pumps.
