First time staying at Crommy this coming weekend (usually don't get comped nights there other than weekdays) and wondering what tips/tricks you might have for me. I know I've read different things in different threads, some of which may be outdated now. Just trying to pull it all together here.

-I know there's no Diamond lounge there, but I've read one of the bars does free drinks for diamond players during certain hours. Is this still the case?

-Is there a Diamond check in?

-I've read about a comp car service to and/or from McCarran....does this still exist?

-Is the pool always a club? Or is it quieter in the mornings or on certain days of the week?

-How is cocktail service on the floor?

-I know Giada's is the only restaurant...is there a gift shop with snacks and drinks?

-Is there a high limit room/area?

Any and all intel is appreciated!

Hi there, I usually stay at the Cromwell. Here's some answer I know.

No diamond check in but hardly any lines. Host on duty usually comes out and great you but not always.

Comp car TO McCarran in AM (I think it's 6-10 AM but not exactly sure). They figure since it's a low time of the day, they tie up with a limo company and driver gets the tip. I don't think there's comp transport from airport.

Cocktail service is excellent as far as I'm concerned. Responsive waitress and real classy glass, not plastic cups.

There is high limit room for table games and fenced area for slots. Usually empty.

There's gift shop right outside check in area by the way. Also Flamingo is just right across.

No diamond lounge, but cocktail waitress gives you what you want if you're diamond. I heard about the free drinks at the bar for diamond but haven't tried and didn't ask.

    Hope this helps

The pool is only the club for a few days, Th, F, Sat (I think) the rest of the days it is just a normal pool.

As Drc said above, the drink service on the floor is excellent.

Can only comment on the drinks service, but as others have suggested it is first class. Fast and great drink selection even for a low roller such as me. Given Diamond you will undoubtedly get what you want.

They also have 100x odds on craps if that is a game you play. Oh and the best VP on the strip too, but only for quarters and only on a small bank of machines near the entrance, but they do have full pay JOB plus other options paying over 99%.

Small casino that recently removed some of our favorite slots. Their drink service is slipping in fact it down right sucked last month when we were there. Rooms are small and extremely dark, Giada is the only dining option on the property. Used to enjoy gambling there until our trip last month, even though I'm comped 24/7, I would never stay there.

Cromwell, Linq, and pH are my favorite CET casinos in Vegas. Service is pretty good, great paying VP, attentive bar staff, and great casino vibes. I hear mixed reviews on the rooms because they're dark, but to each their own. I'm staying at Ultra Hip Room at pH on my next stay to Vegas and I think this may now be the move for me.

Dark rooms don't bother me, though I wish there was more dining. Easy access to all other CET props though. Hope your shitty drink service was just an anomaly and not the new trend for them...

Yeah I've been conflicted about the new ultra hip rooms. On one hand they look pretty nice (I didn't care for the old rooms), and I like the dining options at PH. Decent diamond lounge too, nice big screen for watching a game. On the other hand, the casino is my least favorite of all the CET props.

I'll probably give them a shot at some point when I'm ready for a change of pace...

I love the Cromwell. Super quiet during the day, and then it's just nuts with the club crowd at night (at least on the weekends). Drink service has always been top notch for me. Only downside so far for me is that a random (possibly mentally ill) person threatened to kill me there in the bathroom once because of my yellow shirt. Disconcerting. But their security staff was on him pretty quickly.

You'll also get the occasional drunken fight at the craps table from the club crowd, but that just adds to the entertainment.

Thanks for the replies. One thing I forgot to ask....do the rooms have fridges?

No. The food court at Flamingo is the closest place to grab a snack. Enjoy your stay. The rooms are nice just cramped and dark. Make sure you get a room further from the elevator so you don't have a view of the wall.

Cromwell is one of my wife and I's favorite casinos. Great drink service on the floor as others have mentioned. The easy/quick access to the Strip is also a huge plus. Enjoy your stay!
