I'm traveling to Vegas next month with someone who has never been before. Do any casinos still offer sign-up bonuses for getting a player's card? Thank you.
From my experience the downtown casinos are better for the gifts. Like matched $10 or free deck of playing cards. Others here will be able to give you some more information.
$200 on us at Tropicana Binions - sign up online and they give you some gift (I'll guess a hat or t-shirt) MSS, Cal, Fremont - Some kind of swipe at the kiosk for new members. Get the American Casino Guide and there is a coupon for $10 after gambling $25. Only use once at one of the properties. Golden Gate - some ACG coupons for new members too. 4 Queens - after signing up, show them a slot card from any other property in Vegas and they will give you $10 free play (good once lifetime) Plaza - $500 on us promo
The Mlife desk at Aria offered my wife a freeplay amount for being a new member but it was based on her earning x number of points. I do not recall which either number was to be honest with you but the offer was there.
It's not on sign up, but Cosmo has been offering one free buffet at wicked spoon for your first 500 points, two for your first 1k. Not only is it our favorite buffet (out of Aria, Bellagio and Wicked Spoon) Cosmo has been really solid on offers once you're established (from my experience) and also teaser offers (from what I've read on VMB)...so I definitely think it's worth dropping some play in! Fair warning....you can get spoiled quickly there. We've always loved Aria, but Cosmo has quickly become our favorite spot on the strip!
Is this Cosmo deal with the one free buffet for your first 500 points ongoing? I just got a Cosmo players card last fall and did a good amount of play there and received some free nights from there. If I don't have 500 points yet, but get them when I go next week, can I then get the free buffet? Thank you!
It was still there when we stayed there in June and September of this year. It's a one time thing on redemption, but if you've never redeemed one, I'd absolutely try it! Ps if you get the 500 when there (versus arriving with 500) that's how we did it, as we were brand new to Cosmo!
http://treasureisland.com/casino/players-club t-shirt & buffet ,middle of page. Also got cool shirts at Plaza last year
Those are just "chances to win". Most people just get a small free play, which is still better than a T-shirt.
Thanks Multifarous! I have 239 points so we will see! I didn't like their slots there at all and ended up at a craps table with my last $10 for the day with a group of guys in for a bachelor party. The table was super fun and we played for hours!!!
Hmmmm, we've had Identity cards since the year they opened and currently have between 4-5K points each, but have never redeemed that buffet offer. I wonder if we could still get it? I guess it wouldn't hurt to try.
Suekel/Vegas I'd definitely ask about it. Last time they didn't have any signs, I asked if they were still doing it, they said yes. But when I said I did it last time, they just said it was a one time redemption. I'd definitely ask Suekel, tell them it was never redeemed. It should show in system no redeption yet....if they're still doing it. Good luck!
golden nugget would card match for CET but we went in october and they said the cutoff date was the month before, so we just got a regular card and it came with nothing SLS had you put the card in a slot machine and a wheel popped up, you could win between $5-$2500 slot play...we both got $10 which we turned into $20 each and used that for cab fair...(uber/lyft wasnt around yet) not sure what CET does but for harrahs new orleans here it usually comes with a gift, my friend got a 12 pack of cokes when they were a coke casino, I got a T-shirt, some people got beads and a bead looking drink bottle
You are right - it never hurts to ask. If Cosmo doesn't honor the free buffet, for sure if you are 'Sterling' you qualify for a 2 for 1 buffet each month, at 'Gold' you qualify for a 2 for 1 buffet every day plus priority access line to the very right of the regular line, 'Platinum' is also 2 for 1 with priority access.
@sandlapper I'd go to the players club at each casino you are interested in playing at and ask what they offer new members since sometimes promotions vary or change. I found these online at each casino's website: Ellis Island - new signup - swipe for $10-$500 freeplay Silver Seven - new signup - swipe/scratch for $10-$1000 freeplay Harrah's - New Total Rewards player club signup receives a free entry into the Daily Slot Tournament (M-F 11a to2p) - must play same day as signup, and can also earn points for additional entries. As someone mentioned downtown at 4 Queens - as new members we got a deck of cards, some free play (about $10), and with play earning points, you can get discount percentage off at the Magnolia Cafe. Good luck and hope your friend's first trip is a lucky one!
