I received an offer from 4Q. 2,000 points earns a silk jacket. I have a collection of Vegas jackets and just wondering how much coin-in it takes to reach 2,000 points at 4Q?

We'll probably watch the Packer game there this Sunday and give them 3-4 hours of VP play.

Most VP is $8 per point, so it's $16,000 coin in, but I believe the 10/7 Double Bonus takes double coin in per point.

Yes, I just went to VPFree2 to confirm:

    Video Poker Player's Club
    • $8 Coin-In = 1 Point on Most Video Poker
    • Cash: 40 Points = $1 (0.3125%)
    • Earned Comps: 20 Points = $1 (0.625%)
    • $16 Coin-In = 1 Point on 10/7 DB Video Poker
    • Cash: 40 Points = $1 (0.1563%)
    • Earned Comps: 20 Points = $1 (0.3125%)
    • Cash AND Comps

For slots, it's $5, or $10,000 coin in.

    tring,
Do you indeed get cash AND comps? We've only done the food option.
Have any idea which game is best to play at Chicago Brew Pub?

You do indeed get cash AND comps. Next time you're there, stop by the player's club and ask how much in cash you have available. If you want to withdraw it, the player's club will write you a voucher to cash at the cage.

Best VP at Chicago Brew Co is probably the quarter 9/6 DDB with the 4OAK progressive. Although there may be a DB game on the machines there that's slightly better. I don't play DB so I'm not certain.

It's either 9/6 DDB (98.98%), or 9/7/5 DB (99.11%), Or 98.91% Deuces. The exact answer depends on the current progressive levels.

Also 9/7/5 DB is not super easy to play. If you aren't willing to hold 3 to a flush, just play 9/6 DDB instead.

Oh only quarters are progressive on DDB and DB. So 9/7/5 DB is the best game, but once again, strategy is more tricky. Deuces for dollars may still have a royal progressive at dollars according to vpfree2. If it's over $4500 (99.15%), I would play that over 9/7/5 DB personally.

This is why I don't play DB. I can't keep up with the strategy while imbibing libations.

Me either. My brother can pull out his little strategy card and waste minutes looking for the proper play on DB. I also likes my drinks and JOB or DDB doesn't take that much brain power.

Seems like I might venture in DDB before long. So far I've pretty much played JOB.

DDB is lots of fun, but if you do decide to delve into DDB you've got to keep in mind the variance is significantly greater than JoB. For me, that means a reconfiguration of my bankroll to survive the doldrums.
I also recommend Bonus Poker Deluxe (BDlx). It was the game I moved to after JoB and before DDB. A good 9/6 BDlx pay table is 99.64% with perfect strategy, and just a few hundredths of a % lower if you play BDlx with JoB strategy. The variance on BDlx is lower than DDB but higher than JoB, and every 4OAK pays 400 credits (but two pair only pays 5 credits).

You can find 9/6 BDlx for quarters at most bars at South Point. It used to be at Omaha Bar in Plaza at 9/6, but I'm not certain if Omaha Bar still has that pay table.

And don't forget about just plain old 8/5 Bonus Poker. Also very similar in strategy to JoB and still pays 10 credits for two pair. So the variance is low but offers bigger payouts than JoB for certain quads. As far as I know they still have this game for quarters at Vue Bar upstairs at The D with a 5-K quad progressive and straight flush progressive.

Ty, from your trip reports it seems you don't mind playing higher stakes than quarters, so you may be able to find these games at 50 cent or $1 levels at more bars than I've mentioned here. Have fun!

    I would not do a $16K coin-in to earn a $25 jacket. $16K is a big commitment, 3200 hands at $1 or 12800 hands at 0.25. At least 4-5 hours. Hell no!
