Not sure if this belongs in the "getting there" forum, but, given that the wife and I are too tired to see movies and the only mvies we do see are with our 10 yo daughter, I am way behind in movies (count back a few years now) Looking to put a movie on my iPad for the flight out. I have seen Birdman and Spotlight and Grand Budepest Hotel most recently. some thoughts-: Dallas Buyers Club The Town what else to consider? I feel out of touch... I like classics too..
I can't help you much on the new releases! I still have a few tapes to get back to Blockbuster... I did remember to rewind them, though! Good luck on your search for good cinema! RICHARD
As an alternative.. Starz lets you download shows and movies and keep them on your ipad for two weeks. You can download all you want and then pick what you are in the mood for. Get a one month subscription, then cancel if not worth it to you.
My world revolves around the Marvel Cinematic Universe so Captain America: Civil War. The last Star Wars was pretty good as well. But looking at your list maybe Gone Girl would be up your alley.
again..;-) I am a member of this board, so of any movies i HAVE seen....vegas themed..been there/done that! but always good rec!
So I have Starz as part of my cable package, I had no idea this was included.... so the movies I can choose on there I am interested in..I will take another look through this morning. Concussion, downloaded this Whiplash, maybe for ride home Big Lebowsky (seen parts, never the whole thing...i think its about time! considering the wife refuses to watch) Thanks for the tip!
All the X-Men Movies All the Marvel Movies including... DeadPool All the Star Trek - Reboots w/ Chris Pine Star Wars - The Force Awakens John Wick
I think they do. I know Starz and Showtime both. Since HBO was selling streaming subscriptions, I think they would have an app for the their regular subscribers, too.
From Paris With Love-- a John Travolta Movie is one of my go to flying movies-- I don't know why I love that movie- I don't really care for Travolta but I do like good Espionage Action movies.
I passed over that because of the title, but I do like me a spy flick as well...I loved watching old british film industry spy flicks w my mom during the "sunday afternoon movie" before cable...(i musta been like 11,12), when there wasnt a ball game on of course..
John Travolta is wonderful in from Paris with Love -- for me it is one of his best roles. Twists turns etc. and if you have never seen Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie in the Tourist it is also a good twisting spy movie.
I agree Civil War was a good movie. I just bought it not too long ago, I loved it. Also, Deadpool is another good one.
I really loved Margin Call, not sure why as it's kinda dark, but Jeremy Irons is so great and scary-funny in it, weirdly beautiful movie. Maybe that one and the Big Short, if you want to loosely stick with the gambling theme LOL.
