If all options were open to you, what would be your favorite way of doing Vegas?

    • Solo
    • With significant other
    • With fiancé to get married
    • With girl-/boyfriend ("in-love" phase)
    • With family
    • With (s.o. and) kids
    • With best friend
    • With a friend
    • With a small group of friends
    • With a large group of friends
    • With colleague(s) on a business trip
    • Any other way I forgot to mention

I'm single without kids and have no friends with the same passion for Vegas (they just don't get it, or in different stages of life), but if everything was possible my favorite way would be (I made a top 5):

    1. With boyfriend ("in-love" phase)
This just must be amazing I think. But when you're in love, everything is amazing, let alone being together in Las Vegas!

    2. With best friend
If one of my best friends would love Vegas too, I would be the happiest gal in the world! I'm sure we would have the time of our lifes and I would party a lot more than I do solo.

    3. Solo
I prefer going solo over most other options, because then I'm free to do what I want, when I want and I'm quite a social person anyway, so I don't easily feel bored or lonely (and hurray to VMB!).

    4. With a large group of friends
I imagine this to be a lot of fun, with everyone having always someone to hang out with and no obligations. But in reality I think it can be a bit chaotic or frustrating, when other people in the group have different expectations, for example when they want to do everything together.

    5. With a friend
This is a bit riskful imo, cause if you don't know each other well enough and have different expectations, things can go totally wrong and ruin the friendship. But if it works out well, you can have a great time with lots of partying, shenanigans and laughter.

If I had the choice I would go solo or with spouse. Prefer solo, spouse is not much of a gambler and does not like to try new things. I can gamble extensively and entertain myself.

Love going with my spouse, like to believe after 12 years together we are still 'in love' and we really enjoy each other's company. Gamble mainly slots together, she will usually bow out earlier than me so I get some early morning table games, best of both worlds!

Definitely solo. No restrictions. No schedules. No nagging. No petty spats.

Hahahaah!! That reminds me of the first time I ever went to Vegas. It was with my (at that time) boyfriend, but we were no where in the in-love stages anymore. Lot of long faces and walking couple of meters behind each other hahaha (he was such a drama queen lol). We broke up a couple of weeks after. But my love for Vegas was born anyway. That's when I decided to not wait for a fellow Vegas lover to come into my life, but to go solo. And I love it! But would be great to experience Vegas with someone really close, that I get along with great and who likes to do Vegas the same way as I do. I just keep on dreaming...

Solo. It's nice to not have to justify wanting to stay all day in a casino, or balance budgets and tastes when coming to pick hotels and restaurants, especially when the other parties want to do buffets everyday and a show every night and I'm not interested.

I think there is a time in your life for each of the options you have mentioned - and Vegas offers you fun for each of those opportunities.
I have been to Vegas with my family (dad and brother), my best friend, my wife, and solo. And I loved each of these trips and I am glad I did them.

If I could only pick one, it would be with family. Mom, Dad, husband, son, two sisters, my niece and two nephews. My family doesn't get to travel much and it would be fun if I could show them Vegas. I like all kind of trips but I have to say going solo is my favorite. There is usually some friends there from other forums and we meet up for drinks or dinner. But we all do our own thing when we want and that's the best of both worlds to me.

Solo. I go to Las Vegas to be by myself. That sounds weird but it's true.

I do like doing Vegas solo. It's nice to just do what you want when you want. The other times have been is either with my wife or with friends from work.

With hubby, but it's a blend of "us" time and solo time.

We'll spend a ton of time walking around, enjoying each other, and just relaxing. We'll go have a nice meal or two (not necessarily expensive), grab drinks here and there, and just enjoy soaking in Vegas. It's one of our favorite parts of each day, just going where the wind takes us and enjoying at our own pace.

But we also have plenty of solo time. It's funny, in every day life I'm more chatty (big surprise) and he's quiet, but it flips in Vegas.

In Vegas, I love to play (he doesnt) and just decompress, and bars are too social for me.

Conversely, he loves to barhop, watch sports and talk sports with other sports fans. This is where we do our own thing, I go play and he has a blast getting his sports talk fill!

It's the best of both worlds for us...we have a blast together, yet never get into squabbles over "I want to do this, but you want to do that."

With him, he's my absolutely top (only) pick for Vegas. We're wired so similarly, love the same things, places, and we also each like a little solo time too, it's perfect!!!

I prefer to go with just my husband, and have been doing so 2-3 times a year since the early 80s. He and I usually agree on what to do or where to go next. We both play VP but seldom next to each other, but we always know where the other will be. Actually, at times we may be in different casinos downtown. We always eat together.

Through the years we have gone with friends, or friends have met us there during our trip. I've enjoyed that also, especially at meals - fun to eat with a group.

I've mentioned this before, but here goes...

I've attempted nine solo trips but my wife has made it on the plane all nine times! o_O
