Anyone played Paris HL VP? If so how are the paytables for DW and DDB? Was thinking about trying them out this weekend. Thanks

Take a lot in the Video Poker stickie and see what Tring has written, as far as what I've read Cet isn't that great for Vp.

CET on the strip doesn't have 9/6 DDB (98.98%) afaik (and if they did it wouldn't be full tier points anyway). They should have 9/5 DDB (97.87%) at the dollar level. Also they have some progressives at that level. I would assume it was also available at the $5 level.

Another question mark is if they have 7/5 Super DDB (98.61%) at the $1, $2, and $5 levels. I've seen this at a few CET properties (Bally's, PHo, and CP) but I've never checked Paris.

Optimal strategy is a little different than DDB, but not too much different. Most noteworthy is 2s-4s full are broken. And you're supposed to hold trip face cards with a kicker as quad face cards with a kicker are worth 800 vs. 250 in standard DDB.

    The full strategy is below.
    http://wizardofodds.com/games/video-poker/strategy/a-1-b-111-c-1-d-0-d-1-d-1-d-3-d-4-d-5-d-7-d-50-d-80-d-160-d-160-d-160-d-320-d-400-d-50-d-800/

Deuces wild suffers a similar problem to DDB. The "Airport Deuces" paytable 25/15/9/4/4/3 (98.91%) is too good of a game for CET to offer (assholes), especially at full points. The next lower available paytable is 20/12/10/4/4/3 (97.58%), which they will have, but it is even worse than 9/5 DDB.

Thanks Tringlomane...ironically Ive had my biggest hits on 9/5 DDB at CET props so I dont mind giving up a little for all the freebies they give out. My best host is at a CET prop too.

You're welcome. And I forgot to add that a "kicker" for four face cards in Super DDB is an Ace or Face. Aces with a face card are worth 1600 coins as well along with all the other normal DDB pays, hence the name "Super" DDB.

    Good luck this weekend!

Anyone know what other games the PHo DSTP JoB have on it?

Paris has 2 (maybe 3) machines in the high limit area with $5 9/6 JoB on it. They take $20 for 1 tier point instead of the regular $10 for 1 tier point. I believe they also have 9/6 DDB but you would have to check to be sure. I can't afford $5 vp play so I play JoB here for 1 unit or $5 per spin. Of course, if I got a royal I'd be bummed but the total loss from 99.54% return still keeps it the best game, to me, in the house. I only play here when my husband accompanies me to LV and insists that we stay at Paris.

I know @Riders has played 9/5 DDB (98.37%) on it. Dunno if 7/5 Bonus (98.51%) is there.

$20 a point? Thought it was $25, fwiw.

And if you can find the 9/5 dollar JoB DSTP games you could bet 1 line at 5 coins on that. But PHo might be the only place left who has it.

What percentage on a full pay JOB machine are you giving up if you don't play max coin?

They definitely have a number of DSTP games in the high limit. I was playing dollars 10 play. I only played DDB because TDB wasn't available. The machines had a number of games available just didn't look at them. Sorry

Was at Paris last week and played the HL $5 games. All ddb is 9/5. Got about 5-6 HP's from there before went quite. The $1 TC machine is 9/6 Job. I did not touch it. Could not fathom the idea of spinning $25 per bet and getting $1 TC.

9/6 JoB where the royal only pays 250 for 1 pays back 98.37%, 1.17% lower than max bet. But this assumes optimal strategy of course, and I expect people to screw up more on 9/6 JoB min coining than max. Most players aren't going to hold things like AK7 suited, which is actually correct when min coining 9/6 JoB.

While were on this topic- tring (or whomever else can opine) any advice on where the best VP (or that STP) game at the $1 level is located in Ballys? My next trip is in 10 days and I'm actually trying to play the best VP games for once lol.

    Thanks!

I would hit Cosmo but I've been pretty derelict to CET lately. That being said, if I'm playing regular at that level at Cosmo, I'm also worried about that drink ticket bullshit. I play at a good pace but the principle of it just irks me. I always lose there so the last thing I want to do is lose and be harangued by some clown about my speed pressing buttons haha

I couldn't keep up with the drink tickets last trip and I'm not a speed demon on the deals either. Just don't take a long break between hands and you'll be fine. And really, the drinks at Chandelier are awesome...but if you're a beer person go to TAG at the Linq

Yeah I hear TAG is pretty neat, I'm not really well versed in many IPAs and such but I'll definitely give it a try since it looks like a blast over there. Never played at the linq also so that will be fun. Thanks dave!
