So, what do you think about the Ryder Cup so far?

I just got up this morning (Hawaii is 5 hours time difference) and caught the end of the morning Ryder Cup. Just in time to see the end of all the matches (not that some of them were pretty much already decided a few holes before). It will be interesting to see how they do the rest of the way but so far it looks good. Also doesn't help that the Euros have so many rookies on their team (although they only had 1 rookie playing in the morning), I think it will be hard for the Euros to keep the cup this year.

If the US wins the cup and wins in a convincing fashion it will make Phil look like a genius with his proposals and comments. But there are some players who don't know how to lose (Speith/Reed being 2 of them) so we shall see if the US can continue playing well and winning. The European team, especially the rookies now have to step it up or it may be done by the end of Saturday.

Being that it's just over the border in MN this time I'll probably have a bit more interest in it than normal!
I'll have to catch the highlights on ESPN, etc.

I just can't handle newspaper articles about golf as there are usually too many holes in the story!

Those sneaky Euro bastiches, letting us win all the morning matches to lull us in to a false sense of security!

I loved when the Euros challenged the heckler to sink a putt for a $100 and he did it!!!!!

I loved Phil's blather the other night about "no input" under Watson, and guys from that team were interviewed saying, "Yep, we had input." Or his shred/no I didn't mean that of Sutton, going off about not having time to practice with Tiger's golf ball, but forgetting to talk about the fact that that VERY week he'd made a switch to not only new gear but an entirely new brand.

    Great watching so far.

Only viewing on tv,but some of the crowd seem very drunk/stupid/unsporting.

    I agree on the sportsmanship

US should be in good shape with 3 pt lead headed to singles

I agree with Willy's comment as well, crowd a little out of hand at times. Like the results so far though. I do think the US team will be strong enough in singles today to put it away without too much drama.

Boorish crowds occur on both sides of the Atlantic. Ours are just a bit less, umm, sophisticated.

It's been great sports theater so far, fun fun stuff. We should be able to get the minimum five of 12 necessary.

It sure is a good show so far, regarding the drunk crowd, I know a woman who's bartending there for 4 days, she said she was told she'll prob make between 4-8K in tips in those 4 days, that's not bad.

    This was pretty funny!
Gotta says the weather has been cooperative, sunny and in the high 60's sometimes passing 70 for Minneapolis in October.

We're 6 hours behind here so I'm settling down for an evening of golf on the telly. It's already looking like it won't be a late one though!

Tremendous performance by Reed and Mcilroy, mickelson playing at his highest level also...and then there's Speith...well, we wont go there.
