My wife just noticed this was a perk for platinum mlife members. Through celebrity or RC. Just passing this along in case others didn't know.

This is incorrect information. We've never been offered a free cruise for Platinum. I think your offer is based on something else, maybe through your host. We've been Platinum since the first MLife-no cruises.

I actually think it is accurate.
I have not taken one but I think Platinum gets a four or five day cruise.Noir gets 7.
    Others can confirm.

Well, it's listed on the site and checks out on cruise line sites. It is not an offer made to you, but appears to be available to everyone platinum or higher.

RC and Celebrity both offer very significant perks and discounts for MLife members. The cruise deals for Platinum and Noir are based on "recent play" only and are not automatically open to all Platinum or Noir members. If you have the 'recent play' it's a nice offer on a short cruise in a standard cabin, or you can get something a $750 credit on upgraded cabins. Just having a Platinum card is not enough. RC will give you nice shipboard credits and perks, but you qualify for the cruise just like any other program, by having enough play and theo to get it. There's a lot of fine print with the cruise offers. We got our Platinum status with a combination of play and high hotel expenditures-not enough play to qualify despite always having Platinum status. There's what appears to be the offer, and then there's the fine print with the offer.

    Darn fine print.

I'm not saying you can't go cruising with your MLife-I'm just saying it's not automatic with Platinum-you have to have high recent play too. I'm also not badmouthing the many, many benefits of MLife and Platinum-they're substantial.

With enough play you could probably get a cruise from most casinos. Our host at Wynn/Encore takes her best players cruising also.

Edit: I just went into my account-the cruise offers are all based on "recent spend", "recent play" and are only good for "qualified Platinum and Noir" members. If your MLife status is mostly all based on recent play, you'll be good to go, but it's not automatic. That's all I'm saying. I'm done posting on this. I hate computer wars. Check it out for yourself.

    Long time lurker here.
When I saw this topic I had to chime in on my experience and hope someone else will be able to add to it with their experience.
I have been MLife Platinum for 3 of the last 4 years. When MLife first announced the Royal Caribbean (RCL) partnership, I called RCL and found out that MLife chose my cruise for me. Since I am a low roller, they would only give me a 3 day cruise to Nassau and it had to leave out of the Port of Canaveral, no credit nor lower price for a different RCL cruise would be offered at the time. Since I was born and raised in South Florida, I had no interest, free or not, to take a cruise to just Nassau. Been there, done that too many times.
Over the last couple of years, I understood the offer was modified to a free cruise or a credit for a different cruise based on Platinum play. But even though I was Platinum level, I was still considered a low roller. None of my “recent play” ever qualified me for more than that 3 day Nassau cruise or a $350 credit on any other cruise.
Last year I didn’t go to Vegas enough with my low rolling ways and slipped down to Gold. This year I wanted to get to Platinum faster, so I upped my average gambling bets and made Platinum in just two Vegas trips, one week each. I know there are people on this board that can make MLife Platinum in one or two days, but for me that level of gambling was a big change.
This past year I saw the partnership with Celebrity Cruise Line get announced. Though I have never been on a cruise with that line, I had heard of the very good ratings for the cruise line. So I called the Celebrity Cruise Line (CCL) number for MLife members. The sales guy I talked to was able to pull my name in the CCL cross reference database and found my account. Because of my recent play, he said I qualified for the 5 day free cruise or the $750 credit on a longer cruise. He gave me the cost of the cruise I wanted to go on…for two people, the price was great! Said I qualified for a $200 on-board credit and some free play, I think he said $200.
I was ready to make the reservation! Then he said I needed to give him a “code” from a MLife email offering me the cruise. I don’t have that email nor code. Ugghhh! So I had end the call with sales guy saying just give me the "code" and I'll reserve your cruise....thanks...grrrr
I called one of the hosts I use at the MGM properties (Mandalay). He had never heard of the email nor code. But he said he would email some of the MLife people and give me a call back. Haven’t heard anything since. I may call another host I use at the MGM Grand or other MGM property.
I’m wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience or has anyone gotten this mailer/email with that special “code” for a Celebrity Cruise. I need the “code” ! :)

I recently got an email with a code for the cruise and a complimentary beverage package. I will never use it, I have never been on a cruise and have an offer every year as a platinum player. FYI, the email came in on 8/31, I just checked, so maybe some more of you will be getting one!

Here's the website for the Royal Caribbean cruise. http://www.royalcaribbean.com/contentWithGallery.do?pagename=mgm_partnership
Platinum members receive either a 3 day Bahamas cruise or $350 credit for another cruise OR a 4/5 day Bahamas cruise or $750 credit towards another cruise. This depends on whether you are low platinum or high platinum. When I earned the $750, I had earned 900,000 tier credits that year.

3 years ago I used the $350 credit on a cruise, and earlier this year in March I used a $750 credit towards a 7 day Caribbean cruise. Both cruises I took advantage of the free specialty dinner and drink coupons. The internet minutes I couldn't use because I always buy the unlimited internet plan. The priority check only upgrades you to 'Gold" and I am higher than gold already with RC so I couldn't use that either.

Many Thanks for the code offer.... I love this message board!
But I did not have to use your code(s).

Update: My casino host called back and said no one had replied to his email, so he had nothing to tell me about a code.
I then called the MLife main customer number...:goofy:....waited the minimum of 1 hour for the "next available representative"
Once the MLife sales person answered I asked about the email with the code and she immediately responded that MLife does not send the email, Celebrity Cruise Line sends the email...about every quarter.
The Friday before Labor Day weekend, I called Celebrity again on the MLife number they have. A girl answered the phone and immediately asked for the "code". I told her to send me the email with code first and then I would give it to her. She got a little stumped, said she could not do that nor could she find my information. She took my MLife info and phone number down and said she would give it to her manager for action. That was Friday before the Labor Day weekend. Naturally the Celebrity Cruise line offices were closed during the weekend. They were also closed on Labor Day.
Tuesday after Labor Day, I had your "codes" from the VMB replies in hand, and called Celebrity again on their MLife number.
To my customer service surprise, the girl answered and immediately addressed me, I guess they flag my caller ID/Number in their system. The Celebrity sales girls said they had given the information to the managers, my account was found, and I was eligible for the 5 night cruise and/or $750 no code necessary! :D

I have booked my 7 night cruise, great price, $200 onboard credit! :woohoo:

Advice from my experience: If you are Mlife Platinum and don't have the "code" from the CELEBRITY CRUISE email, then give them a call on their MLife number and be persistent. Some one there can lookup your account and give you an award based on your recent play.

Thanks again everyone for the replies!

Just wanted to add this for anyone considering the cruise through MLife.
I have taken 7 cruises on Celebrity and 2 on RCCL.
Although RCCL and Celebrity are owned by the same company, the casino games for table players are significantly better on Celebrity.
I never had a code from MLife or never used the MLife number to call Celebrity.
On every cruise I have had a Verandah cabin comped upfront and upgraded to a suite on my last 3 cruises.
If you are Platinum through your play, not hotel spend, you may qualify. They will just verify your play.
Celebrity and RCCL have a casino dept. called the Blue Chip Club that has a separate email and phone.
There are also many independent rep/agents that will do the same thing.
Another cruise line NCL does not have a comarketing agreement with MLife but free/discounted cruises are available through their casino dept. or independent agents.
PM me if you have any any specific questions.

dumb question, but I am guessing the play-based comp cruise (if you get one) for Platinum/Noir is just for ONE person, correct? If it's BOGO, I'd probably rather just play in Vegas since BOGO + air from the west coast adds up, but if it's for two people, that would make it much neater for us.

    Thanks for any insight!

I believe it is for two. I just checked my mlife cruise email and this was tucked in at the very bottom, "Discount applies on a per stateroom basis, double occupancy. Singles paying 200% are entitled to full face value."

We have gotten lots of offers from various casinos - and everyone was for two people.

I've been Noir for years and have never taken them up on this offer. It's a personal thing, I just am not a "cruise person" (whatever that means.) Presumably you can't gift it, though, since they surely want you on the ship gambling?
