Any suggestions for a good steak at a reasonable price. I have the LVA coupon book with a few coupons but have no idea which one to use

    Define good steak.

Are we talking high end prime cut? Or are we simply talking not shoe leather and good value?

In fact, define reasonable price while you are at it. Vegas has a wide spectrum of options. Any other constraints (location, etc)?

I recommend 'The Steakhouse at Camelot' at Excalibur.

Ellis Island has a prime rib for 15.99 and I had that this last summer when I was there and I thought it was really good. Cooked just the way I ordered it, med rare and had a lot of flavor. They also have a New York Strip and 5 shrimp for around the same price, I love Ellis Island, can you tell? LOL

+1. Makes answering the question possible.

    Grade: Prime, Choice, Select
Cut: Rib, loin strip, filet, Porter, other
    Moo: Angus, Wagyu, etc.

Also there are probably 50 steak threads in the archives if you want to go nosing around. We've been chewing on this question for years and years around here.

    Vegas certainly does steak!

Maybe you can name some of the options (I mean which LVA coupons you can/like to chose from), so we can say something about which coupon is in our opinion a better deal and why.

The only two in the LVA book that look like steak are 25% off Oscar's at the Plaza and 25% off at Top of Binions.
I am not familiar with either one but perhaps some of the Downtown people can comment

BLT at Ballys is very good and priced reasonable. Just ate there last week.

STK at the Cosmo is another favorite of mine,

And CP remains one of my handful of go-to Vegas steakeries in general, deal or no deal!

I've read some positive reviews on TripAdvisor.com about The Charcoal Room at Palace Station. There is a $30 off coupon in the LVAdvisor coupon book for that one as well. I'll be giving that one a go next month.

I know it is a chain, but we had a gift card to Ruth Chris and did use it there after the Rightous Brothers show last spring. The room was beautiful and the steaks---all prime-- were wonderful. Service was friendly and efficient.

If you've got a car and don't mind a short drive to Henderson, the Fuego Steakhouse at Fiesta Henderson - 2/1 entrée coupon in the MRB. We loved their filets earlier this month. Their seafood sampler entrée is also very good if you are so inclined. We've been there several times now and really like it. Their popovers in the bread basket are AWESOME. Totally worth the calories.

Friends like the Austin's steakhouse at Texas Station. I haven't tried it personally. Coupon in MRB also.

Not a steak, but the prime rib special at Market Street Café at California is very good too. Salad bar, starch, veggie and cherries jubilee (well, hot cherries on vanilla ice cream) included. Coupon in MRB.

Magnolia's at 4 Queens - prime rib there pretty good also (I prefer California's). Coupon in MRB.

Haven't tried it but does House of Blues at Mandalay Bay have steaks? Coupon!

Palms - any of the restaurants there have a decent steak you can use the 50% off all purpose comp coupon? Remember, it's Sunday to Thursday only.

This was just a quick perusal of the places with coupons. YMMV - maybe hop on Yelp (or Trip Advisor - although I trust this one less) for further reviews if any of these are of interest.

I hope your steak search turns out great!

    Cheers,
    Kelly

As always great replies from the board members! No reaction from the OP though.

I think it's wonderful that you all are always so helpful to everyone and make such an effort to answer to the questions. Big thumbs up for VMB!!
