I need input from anyone that has been there for breakfast. I'm trying to find a couple of 2 for 1 breakfast buffets on the weekend over the US Thanksgiving. You can't use most of them that weekend.
I think you can use the one for the Mirage buffet and Circus Circus but that's about it.

    So, two questions:

    1. How bad or (even better) how good is it?
    2. Is there another one out there that I might have missed?

    Thank you,

    It's life sustaining, but at 17.99, I think that's a little much.

However, if you can get over to Silver Sevens, their buffet is inexpensive and life sustaining+. ($8.99)

If you can get downtown, the Golden Nugget has an excellent breakfast buffet for $13.99.

Thanks DaiLun, you made me laugh. I was hoping for something a litter better than "life sustaining". With a bogo from myvegas it will work out to about $9 each. However, I will pay more for a better bogo if available. I doubt that I'll use the circus circus one. I guess I was just curious at how bad it could be.
In January, I used a myvegas for 1 at Excalibar. It was pleasantly surprised that it was okay. I haven't set foot in that place for about 15 years or so.

To me, "life sustaining" means nothing particularly good or particularly bad. A place that I would go to get a meal that will keep me going to the next meal.

The Mirage buffet is pretty good, and they have a BOGO (7.000LP) good 7 days a week but several blackout dates.

MGM Grand's BOGO is only 5,000 LP, and that's a pretty good buffet. (M-F only but less blackout dates than Mirage)

MGM and Mirage are blacked out on Thanksgiving and Mirage the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Thanks again. I'm specifically looking for something that isn't blacked out that weekend.

What about considering the breakfast buffet at the Gold Coast as an alternative? £7.99 Mon-Sat and last time I was there you got a dollar off if you have a bconnected players card. I found the food to be more than life sustaining :)

It's been over a quarter-century since I've been there, but whenever I watch the scene where Clark Griswold eats at the buffet in "Vegas Vacation," I think of Circus Circus. But I have to say it was better than the old IP buffet.

I appreciate all your suggestions, but I'm looking for somewhere on the strip. I don't mind some walking.

I had it in 2014, free due to myVegas. It was about as good as your local Golden Corral or chain buffet. I would give it a 6 or 7, food was fresh and not uber bland. Lots of selection also.

It has been over a decade since I last had the CC buffet, so I'm probably not much help. It was free and I felt it was overpriced.

Can't comment on Breakfast, but last year on my final day I realized I had enough comps to cover dinner. I've dined at a Chinese Buffet in Niagara Falls 30 minutes before closing time, you know where half of the food trays are empty, save for the crust that has hardened from 6 hours of sterno?

The Circus Circus dinner buffet was just a bunch of breaded and fried swill that makes the Golden Corral look like gourmet fare. Eating there made me think of my mom's frequent quip "just eat it, it ain't your last meal on earth". But I love the Steak House and would stay in a casino tower room for a solo trip. I would never eat at the Buffet.

I think the hotel gives away so many free buffets they just don't need to put out anything decent. After all, it's not like it's your last meal on earth.

The buffet at Palace Station is better and cheaper. If you get a player's card, you save a buck.

If you have a car, go to Red Rocks or Green Valley Ranch for buffet. The best of the Coast properties.
