Anyone know what's going on in October, lots of sold out dates at the CAL, Main Street and Fremont.

Mid October is always a very popular time for the downtown Boyd properties.

All the people from Hawaii love going to Vegas in October. The weather is similar to Hawaii at that time of the year.

Boyd properties Downtown cater heavily to the Hawaii market.

I was wondering the same thing myself. I'm meeting some acquaintances in mid October and rooms are either sold out or very high at Boyd's downtown properties such as $100 per night for Sunday thru Thursdays or $200 for Friday/Saturday if available, most rooms are sold out. Fortunately for me though someone in my party will be getting me a comped room for 4 nights downtown which I am very appreciative for. My 2nd option would have been to stay at Arizona Charlie's Boulder Hwy for $60 a night (or $100 a night Friday/Saturday) and meet them downtown which would have been inconvenient and still pricey.

Boyds downtown have been sold out for months. Or not booking. But I had no problem getting a sold out date with my Oct and Nov offers. Seems they save rooms for the BConnected/mailer offers. Of course that was 2 months ago and don't know what is still left.

I am booked at the Flea-mont on OCT 14th and 15th (thru vegas.com) and then the 16th and 17th at the Flea-mont on my regular Boyd offers. I also have one night (16th) at the DG, so i will have some overlap. I had noticed the same thing as far as the sold out / or very high rates. this is my first time going in October, so I just assumed it was normal.

I am at fault for one room. Had hostess set me up in June for October as offers were not out but calendar was already suspect for 14-17. She did and I said ty and would delete when I made mine with offers if they were honored. Oops. Just cancelled so there is at least one room available as of 3 minutes ago.
    I don't get it either.

I booked a flight in early August for Oct 10 to 13 and when I checked the Freemont it was getting full so I booked it right away. The next day all Boyd properties were sold out. I think there was some event going on then.

I forgot to mention, there is a Hawaiian bowling tournament the first week of October. Naturally many of these bowlers will be staying at one of the Boyd properties. Heard that this is a popular tourney so many Hawaii people go up during this time.

Not sure, could be at the Orleans. I don't have many friends who bowl that tournament or my other friends already have their own set teams so they never asked me to bowl.

Not much of a University of Hawaii football fan but I believe in October Boyd promotes the UH/UNLV game complete with tailgate party at the MSS parking lot.

Not sure what week but that's bound to fill up some rooms.

October 19 is the final presidential debate. Every news organization from around the world will have at least some crew in LV that week.
