Hi. Going out to Vegas next month and we've been thinking about the slots that we spent the most time on when we were there in 2013. Wondering if they're still knocking about. Ghostbusters - this is the main one that if it isn't still around my wife will not be happy! She's a fan of the films and Slimer is one of only 2 people she'd leave me for (the other being Kermit - must be a green thing!) Only saw it in MGM properties and played it every day for a week. Fun game with decent bonuses from what I remember. Crystals - another slot that had a decent bonus. You spun a wheel and it gave you a value that each crystal on the screen after a free spin was worth. Very bright and flashy. Wife won $98 off a 50c spin so she fell in love with it. Remember it being in NYNY, MGM and Hooters. 'Monsters' - not sure of the name of this one but 'Monsters' is the nickname we gave it. You had to collect keys and the bonus saw you throw lit torches at doors and you 'captured' famous horror characters e.g. The Invisible Man, Frankenstein's monster etc. Remember playing it in Monte Carlo and Bellagio. Hopefully they're all still around but already got my eye on The Simpsons, Caddyshack and Monty Python's machines to replace any that may have dwindled in numbers. Dearns
Was just there a couple of weeks ago. Ghostbusters is still around, but very limited though. There's also a newer one out. Crystals - Sounds like those bright, loud, and flashy machines from Aruze. They still have those and now more!! Most casino's have them. Monster Jackpots - One of my favorite machines to play. Sadly, I never saw it on the strip. Last place I played it was downtown last year. Either the Golden Nugget or The D. Fun machine, very hard to find.
You are asking about MGM. As far as I can tell, MGM does not have a slot finder. However, several other casinos do. Hope these might help you find what you are looking for.. Caesars (Includes all properties in US, not just Las Vegas) https://www.totalrewards.com/casino-gambling/slots-finder/slot-finder-home.shtml Boyd https://www.bconnectedonline.com/slot-search Orleans (part of Boyd) http://www.orleanscasino.com/slot-search BTW, IGT (the largest slot machine manuf) has a website that shows you where the biggest jackpots are located: http://www.igtjackpots.com/jackpots FYI
When I was at MGM in May they did have the same Ghostbusters they had back in December when I was there. There are two machines, I'll be there in a week and will check to see if they are still there in the same spot or if they are moved or completely gone in favor of the new ones mentioned above.
Yeah that sounds like the Crystals I was on about - they certainly like to let you know what's going on! The wife is "gutted" about Monsters being a rarity now but she's excited about there being a new Ghostbusters machine. Yeah they did seem to be at MGM properties but wasn't sure if that was because we spent most of our time in MGM casinos because we were south strip. Played Ghostbusters Downtown somewhere but can't think where. Thanks for the links will check them out. That'd be great, thanks! There were a few machines there when we went. As you enter from the NYNY footbridge and go past the sportsbook down the centre 'aisle' there were 2 against the wall on the left and 2 close by. There were also 2 'round the back' on the way to the restaurants and the pool.
'Monsters' is at the palazzo. Very fun game just difficult in choosing whether to for low payout more spins or high payout less spins. I believe it is called Monster jackpots by wms.
I used to just chicken out and go more spins. Thinking off upping the bet size this trip and hopefully see a few higher payouts. Good to see that it's still on the strip and even though it's a trek up from the MGM it could be worse.
There are a few Monster Jackpots machines at the Palazzo. One near the craps tables,up against a pillar (near the electronic sportsbook) and 2 diagonally across from Grand Lux, near the escalators and close to the wall. I liked that game a lot but the repeat bet buttons are all messed up from the hyper players who need to bang it like a drum. Still works though, you just have to watch more closely what your betting. Crystals are scattered around Venetian/Palazzo too. Wynn/Encore also. I think there is still a version of Ghostbusters (the one with the marshmallow man/spinning wheel as part of the display cabinet) at Venetian. I'm looking forward to the Monty Python slot too. I hope it's out by the end of the year. We'll be there in November and December. If anybody spots it in Vegas, please let us know.
We're there the end of October so I'll have a look then and report back! The Ghostbusters machine that we played had a bright green semi-circle on top of it and no spinning wheel. The bonuses that I remember were ones that you had to guess the symbol on a card and shoot ghosts in a ballroom. Intrigued by the different Ghostbusters machines that seem to be out there. Gonna have to give them some play.
