I've got a quick trip coming up in November. I've got a couple of free room offers from Total Rewards for Harrah's & Bally's. I had a couple of questions.

Harrah's - What's the difference between the Mardi Gras & Carnaval rooms? Which one is better?

Bally's - What's the difference between the Jubilee & Indigo Rooms? Which one is in the Tower closer to the Strip?

    Thanks in Advance.

I can't speak to Harrah's, but can give you my opinion on Bally's.
Indigo rooms.... closer to the strip, less view, no coffee or fridge, large rooms, seem to need an update, but clean.
Jubilee rooms.... updated, bright colors, modern feel, no tub (just walk in shower), fridge and coffee maker, can have a great view of Paris or Bellagio, but opposite corner of the casino from the indigo tower.

Mardi Gras - The good: Somewhat closer to the casino and strip (but not a large difference). Older tower that was originally a Holiday inn, then a "Ship on the Strip," now a normal tower that has a GREAT view of the Mirage (shiny gold facade against a blue sky background). The bad: The back side has a view of the air conditioners. Sometimes the "older" becomes obvious when the HVAC makes noise and blows directly on the bed, when the water comes out of the faucet "dirty," and/or when the toilet misbehaves. This is rare, but in >25 years, all three have happened to me.

Carnaval: The good: Much better rooms, same Mirage view as the Mardi Gras as long as you are high enough to see over the top of the Mardi Gras building. Rear view is of the valley (mostly low buildings, parking garage, and the High Roller). And a spectacular sunrise over the mountains in the distance at 6 am, worth getting up for, some days are more spectacular than others. Closer to Valet and self-parking, no need to roll your luggage through part of the casino. Never had a problem with plumbing. Two Starbucks, the one at the top of the escalator almost never has a line. The bad: long hallways.

Actually, for both towers, all you need to know is to say, "Away from the Carnival Court." Because of noise from the band until early morning.

jubilee is closest tower to the strip at Ballys, and if you get a suite, it will have a jacuzzi tub

OK after my early summer trip, Harrahs is now at the bottom of my CET list with Flamingo. The room seemed much more tired than the last time I was there & the walls thinner...
Ballys & LINQ are our "go to" hotels.
Ballys--well, Jubilee Tower is redone & very nice. But we have had noise problems there more than once. You can get noise from Drais at Cromwell or Chateau at Paris. BUT likely those won't be an issue in November, so I say go Jubilee & ask for a quiet room. Indigo room was renovated 12 years ago so the decor is a bit dated but fairly neutral. But Indigo Tower is usually quiet.

at check in for ballys, they told us whatever side we get may be noisy with the clubs, we were facing cromwell/flamingo...you could barely hear anything from drais, biggest standard rooms from CET, I always stay at CP but after last trip, not just because they gave us a suite, I wouldnt hesitate picking the jubilee tower at ballys again...
